Politics / Re: British-born Michael Adeboloja Labelled A Nigerian: Why? by Babafad: 7:39pm On May 23, 2013 |
The Brits are idiots, and this is why they will continue to struggle with issues like this. When all those Anglo Nigerians won medals during last year's Olympics for the UK, there was no mention of or reference to the athletes Nigerian heritage. Now this terrible incident has happened and all of a sudden, we hear about UK born Nigerians! We have cretins like Bimbo Roberts Folayan (head of CANUK - Central Association of Nigerians in the UK), who is only good at attending functions at the Nigerian High Commission and posing for photographs with visiting FG personnel. What has he done/said about this, with a view to disassociating Nigerians from this backhand from the UK media?? The bobo is an absolute idiot. BIMBO ROBERTS FOLAYAN The Nigerian High Commission in the UK what have they done?? Muslim orgs have come out in force to disassociate themselves from what happened, but our guys have kept their heads down.......shame on them. |

Waleol Re Kayode Elegbede, he lives in the UK - London. We worked for the same employer in the early/mid 90s (in the UK) and we lived not too far from each other, back then. I bumped into him again early this year, and he still very much lives in London. Baba Kay (as I fondly call him), was a 'Don' back in the day, however he is so disillusioned with sports and the way he was treated by the NSC that a lasting scar is left forever imprinted in his mind. Today, Baba Kay is a mutiple degree holder and none of his children have followed in his footsteps, sports-wise (due to the reason I gave above). I used to sit transfixed, listening to his stories of the days when he was competing for Nigeria. They were amazing stories. If only Nigeria had treated him better, today we (Nigeria) would have been benefitting from the wealth of experience and knowledge the man has. Kayode Elegbede was a fine athlete, and is a top bloke! |
