Education / Re: Tuition Fees Increment: OAU Students Threaten To Shut Campus by Babalakin34: 7:01pm On Sep 18, 2023
No be only under the auspices, nah over the auspices.
Bat told NANS how he was going to run the tertiary institutions of learning and they supported his electoral bid.
I'm not even here to say that BAT has done well or not, I'm only pointing out that it's common sense to expect exorbitant tuition hike all over our federal institutions given this administration's standing on funding of educational sector.

timbs001:
I am running a giveaway for those who need money in this period or those that are cash strapped (I know the times are hard, sadly).

The criteria for qualifying are:
1. Please state what you need the money for.
2. Your Nairaland account must be at least a year old.
3. Please make sure you actually need the aid. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

I will randomly pick people on the thread and announce winners.

Hello chief.
I'm just back from the hospital, I have some health issues and I need money to run some tests and to procure drugs. I'm a student with limited cash flow.
I will appreciate it if you consider me worthy to benefit from your benevolence.

Acct number: 8161768404
Opay.

Gracias.

Help! I need a teaching or non-teaching gig in any part of Kwara state. I'm willing to travel to any other location if there is free accommodation.

I'm a MCB finalist in one of the topmost universities in Nigeria. The ongoing ASUU-FG tussle has affected me badly. When it all began, I knew I had to do something productive, so I revamped my freelance content writing journey by signing up on Upwork and Fiverr. I'm actually a freelance content writer in the sports (football, boxing and MMA), pet and entertainment niches.

I haven't had it easy since I started working on Upwork and Fiverr around February, it's been full of ups and downs, now I think I need something else to engage in for the time being. I need something to keep myself busy throughout the course of the industrial action.

I can teach most basic sciences effortlessly, my fortes are Physics and Chemistry (You don't have to take my word for it, I can prove my skills and abilities to you). I can also take Biology and English classes, depending on which roles are available.

I'm opened to both part-time and full-time jobs. I know there are people who have the means to fix me up with something and that's the main reason why I'm reaching out. It's better than dying in silence.

If you have any profitable job for me (teaching and non-teaching), even if it's a writing gig, please reach me on 08161768404 (call and WhatsApp)
I would be very grateful.
Best regards!

Are you a versatile content writer?
Can you create content about health today and write product descriptions for a motorcycle brand tomorrow?

If yes, then we'd love to have you join our team.

We are currently seeking 3 content writers for immediate employment.
In this role, you will create varying content and optimize them for SEO (training will be provided).

This role start at N272,000 per month for full time engagement (40 hours per week). It is also a remote position, so you can work from wherever you are located.

To apply, write a short product description (2 to 3 paragraphs) for this Yamaha motorcycle - https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/motocross/models/yz85lw

Feel free to review information from the page and tailor that to your description. But make it unique. We will have to reject an application if large blocks of content are simply copy pasted.

Send these to webdev@incomeversity.com.

Also include any previous written works.

And please share this post with anyone you think might qualify.
Hello boss, is this position still open please?

I think the extent of the injury that she sustained does not warrant 600k too but I later realise she was treated in a five start hospital, you can see the setting and the clinical equipment in place if you look vividly at the picture.

It is a good thing to search for help especially when you've tried somethings. However, I must say freelancing can be a full time job if you put in the work. Upwork is an excellent platform to use. Average clients pay like 20$ per 1000 words which is about 12k in black market. Imagine you write about 20 a month that will be 240k.

Don't give up on Upwork and keep applying as best as you can while you open your eyes to offline jobs. I wish you the best.
You're very right boss, I haven't given up. I understand your point. Getting to write 1000 words article for $20 or more is a big thing in this present Nigerian economy but getting it nailed is a Herculean task.
In a space of 3 days, I have written more than 20 solid proposals without any success, not even an invite or an interview. My connects are about to be used up, it's tiring to say the least. I even pitched more than 10 websites and blogs last week but none replied.
Thanks for your kind words, I'm grateful.

Nairaland / General / Re: Why I Prefer Reading News On Nairaland by Babalakin34: 10:32am On Apr 21, 2022
TheScientist:
Other news outlets are good. They are living up to their mandate. However, there is something special about Nairaland. The comments from young and vibrant nairalanders, make the news extra-interesting. Although some comments are divisive, most of them are educative.

My first day on Nairaland was a bliss. I learnt so much that my brain was almost filled to capacity. What amazes me the most is the ability of nairalanders to analyze every statement and decode the real intent behind such statement.

Nairalanders are truly intelligent. The only thing i hate about Nairaland is tribal war.
The mods are trying but they need to step up, these days some very vital news only make it to FP as stale news after two or three days. Outrageous!!

You don't understand international politics very well am sorry. You forgot the same sanctions were placed on North Korea for years and yet the survived to the point that the West does not have leverage over them today, sanctions sometimes is good, it helps you look in words and prevents over reliance on others, I tell you, if Russia whethers the storm of this sanctions, prepare yourself for a new World Power.
It will take Russia years to find her fulcrum and that still doesn't mean that Russia would turn out fine. The end of this war would be equally as disastrous for native Russians just like it would be for native Ukrainians. Putin would mutate into a full blown dictator, he would shield off Russia from the entire west or possibly the entire world leaving Russians who have known freedom their whole live to be bedeviled by debilitating constraints from the bald headed dictator. Russia would be the new North Korea. Is part of the reason why smart ass Russians who have seen this coming are against this war. Utterly outrageous!

Firstly,What's ur jamb score?

And it seems true that there will be no post utme this year for Unical, at least I'm 90% certain of that. You can still change to Unical now but it is at ur own risk, just be prepared for any eventualities but it should reflect before they start anyways. To be safe, make sure you have a very sound O level result with ur high jamb score just in case they decide to use waec just the way Uniport did.

So back to my first question. What's ur jamb score? . Let's start from there.
Sorry for the late reply sir, my jamb score is 332.
I sincerely believe my chances will only be high up there with only UTME.
What do you suggests pls?
Thanks

Hello Docs, I have a lot of questions about Unical admission processing for this year.
I was told it's all about UTME score and that post utme has been scrapped for now. How true is this pls?
Will Olevel result be used as a criteria for admission?
What are my chances of being admitted with a good JAMB score but average Olevel, I'm from kwara state.
Will it be a good thing for me to change my choice of institution to Unical now?

What is a Doctor's Working hours like?
How many hours does a doctor work in a day?
I read about Dr Lagusta, he said in one of his diaries, that he goes as much as 124hours without sleep, OMG.
I'm solar-powered so I'm sure I can't survive staying up in the night for long, how will I cope?

Good day to all.
I'm an aspiring medic, I have also done plethora of research about the work ahead, so I came about posts where Doctors talk about how hard it is to get a placement for Residency. One doctor said it took him 5years to get a residency placement.
It's quite sad to see that happen, I must confess.
I will like anyone with a good knowledge about how residency placement works to kindly explain.
What are the things that can make one secure a placement almost immediately? Does it have anything to do with merit, state of origin or tye University one attended?
