It's been long that I have posted or say anything here due to some circumstances beyond my control but glory be to God that am back.
For those that doesn't know me, don't worry after today you will do because am a special being with God by my side.
Let me start by sharing this great testimony of what God almighty has done.
Can someone praise God almighty and shout loud Hallelujah to the the King of kings, Lord of lords and Creator of all things.
Visa received almost 9 solid months of processing.

DB credit notification 15th March 2016,
A.M email received 2nd September 2016,
Passport dropped 19th September 2016,
Passport received on 28th September 2016.

There is nothing to big or impossible for God almighty to do. He can do all things whether be it admission, DB account opening, DB funding, A.M email, Visa etc.

1. Any document or ID card that show your picture with age or birth date that is older than 5years.
E.g Waec ID card, primary school testimonial, Junior Waec Result etc.

2. You can get the self address envelope from anywhere but preferably get it a day to your interview from either FedEx or DHL for efficiency because it will carry your documents.
The price will depend on your location(Address & State).

please i want to know of anyone who recently got their visa... i did my interview on the 15th of February 2016 and from then till now is been 7 weeks... this is the 8th week... must it be that when they say within 6-8 weeks it must be the 8th week they reply someone. got my details of the blocked account on the 23rd of march and immediately forwarded to them but up till now no response from them. called them but they said i should hold on that i just sent my account details on the 23rd of march. someone on her said it normally takes 2 - 3 working days to send a follow up mail after one has forwarded blocked account details to them. Wondering why the recent change about it. school starts today already

Just be patience since you have contacted them earlier and got a response from them, alot of people contacted them and got no response and some after a week or so.
Relax, take it easy they know your enrolment deadline that it will be probably mid April or April ending.
If you contact them again, they will think you are rude, desperate, not patience enough or trying to tell them they are not doing their job (lazy) which can bring a negative effect on your visa processing.
So engage in a time consuming activities.

Hello, please help. It has been over 3 weeks now that i missed my appointment at German embassy. I tried to cancel it but it says cannot cancel because appointment date has passed. But i cannot book a new appointment because each time i tried to book new one i receive this alert "This entry needs to be unique. A different Appointment with the same entry was already booked". Call them early in the morning 8:30 -10:00 preferably but you must be patient because it may ring upto 10 times with answering machine picking & dropping the call after 4minutes, so load your phone very well & be patience.

Explain to them why you missed your interview, give reasonable & provable reason because you may be ask to provide proof.

If you have read the part 1 of this thread you will no that canceling of appointment is better than not showing up which you may not be able to get an appointment date again for this period but try it, you may obtain favour.

You will need to certify all your documents before you send them to the intending school and that will happen before you can get admission.
Once you get the admission then you will open blocked account then book student visa appointment.

Please read the part 1 of this thread from beginning to the ending inorder for you to get the needed information and stop asking (silly) questions because no one will answer you.

Hello, you haven't go through the thread.
If you have those information you need is inside the thread which has been answered more than once

1. You can certify your documents at the German embassy between Mon - Wed in the morning (7 - 10am).
2. You will get it back same day and note you may be ask to pay money at the embassy depending on the number of set of documents you want to certify.
3. You can use High Court too but you will pay per page and it depend on the location of the court.
High Court in Akure charge #50 per page while the one in Ikeja is #200 per page

To those that send their db form to the bank direct. It will take approximately 3weeks before you can get your account details and the 3weeks start counting the day the bank receive your form.
If you are sending 2nd or 3rd time, insert a letter in the package stating the first time you send it and the reason for resending the second one now, then you can get it earlier.

People that put passport number in the TIN space have gotten their db account details yesterday.
So if you put your passport number there no problem just relax your mind because once it's 3weeks they receive your documents you will get your account details.

Omo iya!...The high court in Akure can certify your documents but seal no go dey am...and from what I yaf seen seal is needed if u r sending to uniassist and some particular schools. not all tho. Once you certify at the high court, look for a notary public like a lawyer to help you apply the seal...10k was collected in my own case after much begging for three sets of document. but you can take the free shortcut of the German embassy in lag...my 2cowries

Do it in Akure High Court and send it to Uni-assit, no need of notary public.
I did mine in Akure High Court.

Use google or daad.de.

2)What is the school fees?

Most german university tuition free.except some few states where student pay 500euro.

3)Whats the admission requirement?

Generally,for undergraduate,u can get admission with olevel, toefl,good university transcript, or A levels.motivational letter,cv,etc.
Note.always check ur program requirement.
For master degree applicant,bsc result,transcript,toefl,motivational letter,cv etc

4)Can i be admitted without proof of english certificate like toefl,ielts etc.

Depending on the school/prog.
Always contact the program cordinator.they have the final say.

5)Can i be admitted with my olevel into bsc program?

No.

6)Whats is uni assist?

Uni-assist is the link between prospective student and university.there main function is to verify your academic qualification if its enough to get you admission in a german university.

7)Whats there charges?
You are to pay 75 euro,for the first application and another 15 euro per application if you are sending more.this is for non EU student.
Important details of uni assist can be found on their website. Search google you will get the website.


Please note,not all school or program are under uni assist,so please check if your school or program is under uni assist.

9)After 2 weeks you will be inform if your document is forwarded to your school or its incomplete to get admission in a german school.which you will duly be inform by uni assist.

No,its your school that gives admission.

11)After admission by my school what next?

Book your visa appointment,atleast one month and a week in advance,to set up ur block account.

Take your admission letter to the embassy open your block accout.after the account is open transfer the sum of 8040 euro to your deutche bank account.

12)How will i transfer the money?

Walk into any commercial bank (i recommend Union, Sterling and Fidelity). Tell them you need Form A for schooling upkeep. They will direct you on what to do.
Go to the headquarter or head branch in your area.

13)After 2 to 3 days ur will recieve confirmation for payment from deutsch bank.

14)On the interview date,get to the embassy very early,even before ur appointment time.germans dont joke with appointment/time.no oga abeg sir oooh.please prepare very well.

15)What are the likely interview question?

What are you going to do in germany,your course,program structure,school location(state and city),why germany,countries that has boarder with germany,what do you know about germany,why that course,finance,informantion about your sponsor,ur plan after your studies etc.

After interview u will be told,your file will be sent to foriegners office.they will let u know the outcome soon.

It takes between 2-6 weeks for the visa depending on the location of the school.

North Rhine Westphalia is a very big region with the highest population in Germany and lots of industries. It is a perfect place for engineering students to begin their career and they have some of the most hospitable people you could meet in Germany.

The state of Hesse has lots of industries too, quite notably, the Industrie Park situated in Frankfurt (it's as big as a small village in Nigeria) and would be the dream of any body who studied Chemical Engineering since all the companies situated there are the some of the biggest Chemical Companies in the world. Think BASF, BAYER, SANOFI, CLARIANT and so on. Other than that, Frankfurt is a purely banking and Stock exchange city with gigantic banking buildings.


Berlin does not offer much in terms of industries. It is a town where politicians, secretaries and assistants thrive. Think Abuja.

Other than that, the state of Hamburg is also another huge industrial region with lots of importing and exporting going on.

Bavaria is good (don't know much about it) but I heard that the people dwelling there are some of the most unpleasant people to meet. They even look down on other Germans and have some of tbe most effed up accent you can come across in Germany. Unfortunately they have some of the best looking german girls.

Concerning the issue about wife/girlfriend joining you while as a student in Germany, i mailed the embassy and got a reply.

It says, my girlfriend can join me throughout the entire duration of my studies in Germany but i have to wait until we get married before applying. (Meaning if you're already married, you have no problem).

On the issue of the funds needed if i'm to come to Germany with my girlfriend, it says it will be determined by the Alien office, so i have to apply first.

Can she work? Yes.

You can use FedEx because that is what embassy uses too & the FedEx guy mostly stay around german embassy.

Buy 2 waec scratch cards because you have 2 waec results. You can get it from cyber cafe around you or banks (Fidelity, Skye, etc).

With a sincere gratitude to the blessed 'TRINITY' i wish to share my testimony that my package was delivered to me today with my visa. The journey started last winter, though i missed out on getting an offer from Siegen (i applied late and was bitter, never knew God has a bigger plan). I got back to the drawing board with words of encouragement from beautiful people on here, God gave me a reason to trust in Him by applying to schools available for summer.

I had my interview early January and got the funding mail the next morning, with a note to correct the age of birth on my passport. Mehn! had to travel down to Abuja to face immigration but all thanks to God for His divine favor, i got it done within a few days. I scanned the new passport and sent it to the embassy, in between these days/weeks i kept on waiting for the db acct details (i was worried but had faith in God) before it was sent to me finally. Yea, passport corrected and db details gotten but here comes the funding ishh. Last week Monday the am mail dropped without funding, yea! Is God not awesome? With speed i got to Lagos few days later, and today my package arrived. Glory!!!!!
