okooyinbo: Holdup in Nigeria is not always due to bad road. If Nigerians had regard for orderliness, most of the hold-ups wont even happen. Majority of the people plying the Nigerian roads cant really drive. Driving is not about moving the vehicle, but also respecting rules and regulations and other road users. Nigerians are quite stubborn and impatient which explain the frequent occurence of terrible hold-ups everywhere and a lot of ghastly accidents taking many lives with it. Even on a bad road, you dont need to spend hours if all people would behave in an orderly manner. Alas, there are laws, but definitely there is no order in Nigeria.

lagerwhenindoubt: Are you guys surprised - there are thousands of patients "legally" awaiting donors for kidneys and hearts all across the world. there is a booming Black-market in Asia and there is a thriving conduit in Edo state where young men and women travel to Malaysia or Singapore to sell their Kidneys and come back with at least N3-4 million and a car. I got this from a close friend who knows an acquaintance who never made it back. It is suspected that his "helper" sold him out and both organs were removed and he was allowed to die.
