‎An undisclosed number of persons were reportedly trapped after a building identified as a two-storey building located at 54 Cole Street, near Cemetery Bus Stop in the Oyingbo area of Lagos collapsed today in Lagos.

‎This was disclosed in the situation report released by the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye who disclosed that the Sari-Iganmu Fire Station team was immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.

‎Im a major shake-up in the leadership of the Armed Forces, President Bola Tinubu today announced the sacking of all the Service Chiefs and appointing new ones as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s national security architecture.
‎
‎This was disclosed in a  statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.
‎
‎The statement revealed that the President approved the appointment of General Olufemi Oluyede who previously served as the Chief of Army Staff as the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing General Christopher Musa who previously served as the Chief of Defence Staff.
‎
‎Also appointed are Major-General W. Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke as Chief of Air Staff, and Rear Admiral I. Abbas as Chief of Naval Staff.
‎
‎The Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye, retains his position.
‎
‎The statement quoted President Tinubu  expressing his “profound appreciation” to the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff and other former Service Chiefs for their “patriotic service and dedicated leadership.”
‎
‎He therefore urged the newly appointed military heads to justify the confidence reposed in them by enhancing “the professionalism, vigilance, and comradeship that define the Armed Forces of Nigeria.”

‎The statement noted that all the appointments are with immediate effect.
