I no get patience like this ooo. E don happen, e don finish. Discovering your partner cheating is tough. Instead of fighting, try these five steps to handle the situation wisely. 1. Stay calm. It’s natural to feel angry and hurt, but reacting with violence won’t help. Take deep breaths and try to control your emotions. 2. Gather evidence. Before confronting your partner, make sure you have clear proof of the cheating. This could be messages, photos, or any other evidence. It helps avoid misunderstandings. 3. Talk to your partner. Have an honest conversation. Share your feelings, and listen to their side too. This can bring clarity to the situation and help decide the next steps. 4. Take care of yourself. Emotional well-being is crucial. Seek support from friends or professionals. It’s okay to feel hurt, and talking about it can be therapeutic. 5. Evaluate the relationship. Consider if trust can be rebuilt. Both partners need to be willing to work on it. If not, it might be time to move on. 6. Establish boundaries for the future. If you decide to stay together, set clear expectations. Discuss what needs to change for the relationship to heal. 7. If moving on is the best choice, be ready to let go. It’s challenging but holding onto self-respect is important.[/quote] |

THE NIGERIA GRADUATE AND EXPERIENCE SEEKING EMPLOYERS. Over the years, graduates from the Nigeria institutions of higher learning have had some major problems to contend with. Some of these problems ranges from unemployment and employers seeking for experienced individuals for the few available employment opportunities either in the public or private sector. This challenge can not be said to be over emphasized as this had led to alot of young graduates loosing out on many employment opportunities as they don't posses the required experience as stipulated in the recruitment guidelines. The only opportunity available for undergraduate to gain first-hand experience on their feild of endeavour is during their Industrial Training (SIWES) in school. This programme is designed to help undergraduates complement the theories they have learnt in school with a level of practicals. Remember, this programme at most last for six (6) months. In as much as the six months is an enough time for an undergraduate to learn much as regards his/her discipline, employers won't take that as an enough experience for a graduate to be employed. An employer of labour in Nigeria on the average will be requesting for an individual with at least five (5) years working experience before employment. With this, then the question of where will the young graduates get these experience comes to mind. Every employer wants an experienced applicants who will come to add value to his or her organization. The fact that young graduates are not experienced doesn't mean they can't be productive. Every year, hundreds of thousands if not millions of young graduates are released to the already saturated labour market and for employers to absorb them to their organizations, lack of experience comes as a hurdle for them. "Learning on the job" can be adopted by employers to give opportunity to young graduates to gain the experience while they are engaged with such organization. Conclusively, undergraduates should try as much as they can to volunteer for organizations in their field of discipline. This will make them to have an edge when they finally graduate. Importantly also, employers of labour should understand that experience only comes when an individual is engaged. How can a young graduate have five years experience without been engaged? On this note,I call on employers of labour to engage young graduates in their organizations as that's the way they can get the required experience. |

The average Nigeria child@5 already had a big dream to become great in the future. These great dreams of theirs see them choosing career paths in medicine, accounting, journalism, teaching and other well meaning careers. This can be ascertained when u ask children between the age bracket of 5_10 what they want to become in the future? You will be amazed to hear them say,I want to become a doctor, a nurse, an accountant, a business mogul, a journalist, an engineer, a pilot, an astronaut, a teacher, a business executive, a banker etc. As time goes on,reality begin to dawn on these "average Nigerian children" that the dream they had before now, will be somewhat difficult for them to achieve due to some factors; lack of financial support due to poor parent, high cost of education in Nigeria, unfavorable government policies and above all, reserving some courses for the elite in our tertiary institutions. A child who plan to study Law for instance, after meeting all the requirements will be giving a different course not related to the course. Why? The parents are not among the elites. This singular act will dash the child's dream and ambition against the wall. Due to the factors mentioned earlier and others, alot of "average Nigerian children" have to settle for other vocations in the society, not really that, they can't do well in the other professions, but the system deprived them of the opportunity to excell in that given field. Notwithstanding, the "average Nigerian children" have been able to take the bull by the horn, cease every given opportunity and made the best out of it. If the system had ever deprived you of chances as this,my heart goes out to you. #StayStrong and #RemainStrong. ©Baba Sonny.

Nigeria as an independent nation started her journey officially in 1960 after regaining her freedom from Britain in October 1st. This occasion was greeted with mixed feelings as some sections felt the country wasn't ready for Independence while others are of the opinion that the independence was long overdue. From the said date till this present dispensation, Nigerians had experience leadership from the different regions except the south east, different political parties as well as the military. Beginning from the first republic to the second, third and the return of democracy in 1999,the movement of Nigeria as a nation can be adjudged,"one step forward, two steps backward". Leaders have come and gone. They all tried to salvage the situation of the country but it seem they were not "tactical" enough to move the country to where it should be. This can be seen in the deplorable state of the economy, high rate of insecurity, industrial actions by labour unions, poor health and the worst of them all, corruption. Judging from the economic reality of Nigeria now,u will see that Nigeria prior to 2015 is far better compared to Nigeria from 2015 till present. The best way to describe the movement of Nigeria is "ANTI_CLOCKWISE MOVEMENT". Nigeria should be making progress like every other nations of the world but the reverse is the case. Countries are celebrating innovations, great feat in the different sectors of the economy. What do we get in my country? Banditry, kidnapping, embezzlement of public fund, budget padding, zero tolerance for criticism and the sacrifice of Nigerians for political gains. Our movement has been anti_clockwise for ages now and if care is not taking, our anti_clockwise movement will still continue...........but when I rise,u rise,we rise,we can change the narrative. ©Baba Sonny.

Nigeria has been represented at different international football competitions by great talents. We saw wonderful performances from these talents some times and at some other times, the football fans are disappointed. Some of the ex_internationals that have done Nigeria proud included; Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, Joseph Yobo, Kingsley Obiekwu, Obafemi Martins, Sunday Oliseh, Stephen Keshi. Others include; Taribo West, Daniel Amokachi, Samuel Okwaraji, Vincent Enyama and others too numerous to mention. During their playing time for Nigeria, a very good number of them were still signed to either the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A, French League 1 or the Spanish Laliga. As a result of this, they are paid by their club sides and match bonuses and allowances whenever they represent their country side in competitions such as international friendlies, African Cup of Nations and World Cup tournaments. After retirement, some of them delved into coaching career while others choose different businesses to invest their hard earned money. It came to many Nigerians as a surprise when after a couple of years after retirement, some of these ex_Internationals start living from hand to mouth. A very good example on the side of those living from hand to mouth after retirement was the case of a former Nigerian defender, Kingsley Obiekwu, who made headlines some weeks back after news broke that he had become a taxi driver. Obiekwu was part of the U-23 side that won Africa’s first football gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Social media was on meltdown as the news made it to the internet. Many lamented the current state of the former defender while others troll him for not investing his money. Others blamed the Nigeria government for not showing enough concern for the ex_internationals. However, we must tell ourselves the truth. You represented Nigeria doesn't mean Nigeria should shoulder your responsibilities after retirement. Also,we must not forget that the said defender played along side people like Jay Jay and Kanu who are billionaires today. This call for questions such as; why was his case different and were the likes of Okocha and Kanu given preferential treatment after retirement? The money as it is coming today won't continue forever.Consequently, footballers should learn to invest for the raining days to avoid stories such as that of Kingsley Obiekwu.

In an event held at the "Kirikiri Prison",Lagos on Tuesday the 8th of March,2022 to mark the "International Women's Day 2022" saw Miss Chidinma Ojukwu emerged as the winner of "Miss Cell 2022 beauty pageant". The event had in attendance some top officials of the prison, the female inmates and their male counterparts in the same prison. The appearance of the inmates as depicted in the pictures below is a clear indication that the female prison inmates are given preferential treatment against their male counterparts. Prison Officials and the show promoter has defended their action but to me and many other Nigerians, their excuse and explanation doesn't hold water. Specifically, Chidinma Ojukwu ( the prime suspect in the murder of Super TV CEO) has be given this preferential treatment at different times. These ranges from appearing in court without handcuffs and been taken from the court premises to the prison in a special vehicle. They are all prison inmates and as such should be treated same. I wonder why I haven't heard anything from our so called,"Feminists". We must not forget that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander. #IsayNoToPreferentialTreatment. #TreatAllEqual. ©Baba Sonny.
