Yes you can. I submitted mine 2months after my interview although I was told that I can submit whenever it was ready. I wasn't given a time frame. But I'd say its better to try and submit before you are asked.

I remember the interviewer saying the only thing standing between me and my visa is my A1 and lots of patience.Now I know what he meant! This whole process has taught me patience

Goof afternoon my good people. Please I have a question which and I really need directions.

My wife had her interview on the 24th of April, she didn't submit her A1 exam because she was told she could submit later. Today, she got a call from a delivery man (dhl) that she has a message from the embassy. We are now concerned as to why are we receiving documents so quickly? Although we are yet to know the content of the message, she is also not present in the state where she can rush to get the documents. We are just anxious, please can we get clues as what may likely happen? Does anyone has similar experience?

Not sure but we might get the same lawyer cos, just like he interviewd me I also asked him questions and of cos you know this people will give you diplomatic answers. But he told me that he'd be heading towards that side,he started from the farthest places from Lagos and he'd keep going further untill he finds himself back in Lagos. He even said that in one state he has 16 applicants for verification. So we will all get answers,though it will take time but it will come.

I thought Lagos applicant always had theirs done faster than us living outside Lagos. Well I'm in the South-South, they'll get to you. If I could get mine done since after my interview in October then all those waiting for lawyer will see him soon. Amen

Thanks everyone for your concerns,we are all in this together. I see us as a small family. At exactly 7months after my visa interview, the lawyer called,Since I am in a different city from my parents and where all my school and other documents were to be verified,he saw me first as he also needed to verify with my employer before proceeding to see my parent and also to verify my documents which are in the same state as my parents. I am so happy, atleast one step forward. Now it's to wait for verification complete email then send your passport and travel date email,I can't wait.

I saw someone writing here I can't remember when exactly,should be number 100 and something that his wife was denied because the were not yet married when he applied for appointment and they were asked to go back and reapply and wait. If I'm not mistaken I saw that some where here.

I tried visiting my husband in 2021 and was denied because they weren't sure that I'd come back to 9ja. when I went for Family reunion interview last year the interviewer told me that he could see in the system that I tried to visit using Schegen visa and was denied,he said that even if I applied a thousand times I wouldnt be given visa cos it will be believed that I won't return since I am entitled for family reunion instead of just visiting.

I still haven't heard from the Embassy or the lawyer and still no response to emails. My husband contacted an immigration lawyer,I really hope It helps.

Good morning everyone, please does anyone know how I can locate my lawyer? Its been 7months since interview and still no lawyer. My husband called one of those imigration office in Germany and he was told that there has been no update from the lawyer. That the system just shows that the verification has be initiated but it hasn't been completed making me come to the conclusion that the lawyer is the one delaying my process. I have sent emails to the embassy and no response,I feel crippled and I don't know what to do 🥺🥺🥺

That is a very long time to not have received any update. Has your spouse been contacted by the ABH? A friend of mine is also waiting for a lawyer and spouse interview was also in October, but he’s been contacted by ABH during the time.

I think ABH process are slightly different in each state. My husband works and lives in a small town and all the foreigners, especially Nigerians can be finger counted.
Why not contact them to know what's going on with your documents and your spouse's visa process.

It means your file was opened in November, your documents have been sent to Germany and also to the verification office in Lagos. It's strange though, because many of us that our verification was initiated in November got verification complete email last week.

My husband called ABH and they said the finished with our case since 5th of January,that the approval was sent. But embassy said that verification process takes about 6months, does that mean I should expect to hear from them by May🤯
I did my interview in October,I'm just confused. Does anyone have a number for the verification office please.

Please for those who said they located their lawyer how did you do it? The embassy said my verification process started since 28 November 2022 but I haven't gotten any call or even seen the lawyer. The silence is even more draining than the waiting.

Family reunion timeline:
November 2021- visa application for wife
October 2022 - email for visa appointment in November 2022, contacted the embassy to add my two kids to wife’s application. Embassy responded and asked my wife to make visa applications for our kids and send them the reference numbers.
November 2022 - visa appointment and interview
January 2023 - was contacted by Ausländerbehörde to send my documents
February 2023: wife was contacted by embassy to send passports and travel insurance
February 2023: entry visas were issued to my family.
April 2023: arrival in Germany
