There is no need to cry dear mama..
Protein in urine is a sign of either infection or impending high blood pressure in Pregnancy.
While you await your next visit with the doctor try to do the following:
1. Take in as much as 8 glasses of water daily.
2. Reduce your salt intake.
3. Engage in very mild exercises e.g. taking walks in d evening.
4. Take enough rest, including afternoon naps.

Whatever the case maybe, your doctor may place you on some drugs and make your antenatal visits more often.
Proper monitoring of this Pregnancy is the best approach to ensure you and your baby come out safe.

Hello mamas I need your help. I registered for antenatal today and both my blood test and urine test was carried out but my urine came out as protein+++ my bp was 135/65 the doctor wasn’t convinced about my bp and asked I should recheck which still came out as 135/65..she asked if I urinate frequently at night I told her I don’t urinate at time, she also asked if I feel pains when peeing I told her no she said the protein in my urine is very high and I will be needing more tests which I did but the results will be out on Tuesday. I was so worried, panicked aand quickly went for a scan. The lady there didn’t even help matters by saying my baby is folding itself without telling me why. Pls mama help me interpret the scan results I won’t be seeing my doctor till Tuesday.

So sorry for the many typos I’ve been crying since I came back from the hospital I feel so weak and dizzy embarassed

BS
So my EDD was 6th March according to LMP and all the scans I carried out, I prayed to God to deliver on or before 6th March because I was already tired, but God had other plans for me, at 38 weeks I began walking long distances and climbing stairs to induce labour but DS was just busy enjoying his mansion in my belly, on my EDD which doubles as my ante natal my doctor checked me but no show as I was not having even Braxton Hicks so he told me to relax and check in the following week if labour fails to come I should come in for induction but he told me to engage in s*x and n*pple stimulation that it will trigger labour, that was how DH enter work oh but the following being 13th still no sign of labour as at then I was 41 weeks and doctor told me to come in on the 16th for induction since their policy is to induce someone at 41 weeks 3 days if labour tarries. 16th was on a Monday and on the 15th being Sunday I went to church prayed and asked God for a last minute miracle because I didn't want to go through the induction route, that Sunday I started having serious diarrhea and menstrual like cramps called my sister she said it was a sign hopefully before Monday labour will set in, By Monday morning it was still same way I took my bags and DH and I set out for the hospital, got to the labour ward Ward and told them how I felt I was checked and was told I was just 1cm dilated and having weak contraction so I will be induced by 12am of 17th and told DH to go donate blood in case it ends up as CS which he did and I was given a bed space. Around 5pm a midwife told me to come in for another VE by 8:45pm if no progress then the inducement will be administered by then the contraction was becoming stronger but irregular, the doctors had an emergency CS which delayed my VE till around 11pm and when I was checked I was 4cm dilated, the doctor told me he would come check me by 4 am to know how far I have progressed because based on my progress I will deliver by 6 or 7am at this point I was in great pains wondering if this was how I will continue for the next 7 to 8hrs I started crying and DH and my sis consoled me, hubby was not allowed into the labour Ward but elder sis was there with me rubbing my waist at every contraction and fanning me tell me not to shout but do the breathing exercise, I threw up severally and I didn't know if I was in heaven or on Earth,I couldn't lie down, I couldn't stand, around some minutes to 3 am I was 8cm dilated and I started feeling the urge to push but I was told not to till I felt like pooing I told my sis and the nurses came to check and was like madam this is your baby's head and I was told to push with the next contraction I did but baby was half way when contraction disappeared and baby nose was blocked so I was told they needed to give me a cut to bring baby out because he could not breath and I was cut, that was the most painful part of my delivery process but I had to do it and my son was out at 3:25 am screaming. I shouted thank you Jesus I was stitched though baby was takes to neonatal due to the presence of meconium in my water.
DS is growing daily looks bigger than a two weeks old daddy is happy mummy is fully healed and family members are rejoicing. Vigilante is real.
Thanks to this family for being there through out this journey may God give everyone here easy and peasy delivery as God answered me he will answer you, my active labour and delivery lasted just 4hours.
Cappo Mzleemah BS submitted.

Congratulations ma!!

Good morning Mama's in d house...

Congrats to those who have delivered already.
Safe delivery to those in labour.
To those who are still preggy, I think we should start collecting contacts of doctors and matrons of our ANC hospital.
Hearing @Adesquare2's story really made my heart ache.
Let's have a direct link to our caregivers in times like dis.

We paid for their service, so if dey cannot attend to us in d hospital they should atleast be reachable whenever we need them.

Pls mamas in d house I HV like menstrual pain for 1 week nw ,stomach discomfort we are 16weeks gone wat can be d cause d wat can I do

Hi Good morning,
Sorry for the late reply.
Abdominal cramps and pains are normal during pregnancy. Starting from 12weeks upwards.
It's presumed to be caused by expansion of ur womb to accommodate the growing foetus. Some muscles and ligaments will be stretched causing the pain.
It shouldn't last so long, it usually subsides.

Meanwhile u shuld complain to your doctor.

Pls comment on the below quote

Hello @shadow88 @customizedme
The nxt thing to do is to confirm if the pregnancy is still der. A blood test and US scan will be very helpful at this point.
Despite the lockdown, the officers will allow you pass if u make them understand its an emergency.

If this is your second pregnancy, your doctor should be able to save this pregnancy by taking a detailed history during ANC. With enough medical information we can develop a treatment plan to help you have the baby of your dreams.

sorry ma'am but maybe i should be more detailed so u understand
its actually my SIL her preggy is older than mine but not yet showing unlike mine
also sometimes she sees blood spot and her breast brings milk like yesterday she changed her pad 3times but this morning she has not seen any blood stain

Okay now i understand. Lets quantify the blood by how soaked the pad was. If she changed pads because each time the pad was soaked with blood then thats danger.
If shes very concerned then she can repeat a pregnancy test or go to any hospital close by to check the baby's heart rate. Otherwise she can complain to her doctor during her next ANC visit.
Her body is getting ready to nurse a young one hence the milk from the breasts. I think shes experiencing normal bodily changes.

pls ma'am what is the cause of a Peggy seeing her period at late pregnancy

There is no period during pregnancy. It is biologically impossible.
However, its normal to notice small blood spots during pregnancy; this is usually due to structural changes in your womb.
If you notice any bleed you should see your gynecologist asap, it may be danger sign.

Good to have u here.
Please what can help reduce heartburn during pregnancy?

Here are some more healthy tips:
1. Eat small portions of food. Convert ur 3 square meal into 6 - 8 portions.
2. After eating, sit up for a while before lying down.
3. Avoid alcohol, fatty, spicy, greasy foods.
4. Take yoghurts. Take milk wen you feel d heartburns.
5. When you eventually lie down, use a pillow to keep ur head elevated.

I'm guessing you are in ur 3rd trimester and it's very normal to have heartburn.
It's caused by a combination of hormone and pressure from the big bouncing baby inside your tummy. The size of ur baby tends to exert pressure on ur stomach causing acid to move up to the oesophagus, dats wat causes the burning sensation.
Let us know if any of the tips help.
Warmest regards.

Usually d doctors will ask you to be on Mist mag or gestid for about 1 - 2 weeks.
Eventually it will resolve on its own.

Hi mamas
So my BS is coming quite late..e ma binu o.
So edd was 19th/21st of March but on the 4th of. March I went for ante natal and prior to that day I had been feeling reduced movements from baby and I had been complaining about it at every visit but this particular day..my doctor advised me to do a Gtc, just to monitor baby's heartbeat ..after the test it looked like she was having decelerations so they decided to bring baby out the next day . I wasn't prepared for this at all, my mum had just been robbed the previous day and we were still trying to get police report and all..i had not packed my bags..i had saved some things for last minute buying ..so I tried to push the procedure till the following week but the doctors didn't want us to take the risk of something bad happening to baby over the weekend.
So I stayed back..told my mum to pack my bags and prepared for my cs the next morning. I was very nervous because i wanted to try for a vbac this time but my doctor was skeptical cz I've had a previous cs and during this pregnancy my final height had been measuring so far ahead ..they kept saying baby was going to be too big..so I decided to just go for an elective cs.
To be very honest my cs experience this time around was 100x better than my previous birth. Apart from it being elective, I was able to stay awake..didnt feel anything at all..it was quick, painless and just felt good. My recovery nko. The best..i don't know the exact reason sef, if it was the hospital or the way the doctor did it or just God but I wasn't in any pain like my first birth ..i was able to move well..eat, no swelling, it didn't feel like I just had a major surgery unlike with my first that I was in a lot of pain. I had no complications and was discharged on the 3rd day.. baby ended up being 2.8 kg to the doctors surprise..she wasn't big at all @37 weeks . I Thank God for everything..mama and baby are doing great.
I wish everyone quick and safe deliveries
Team March..i have submitted my BS o

WOw.. Congrats!!
2 lessons to learn from this BS:
- Always pack your bags very early, u never know when d time comes.
- Be open minded. Each time u go in for a delivery just summon a positive mindset. A healthy psyche is 60% success already.

What part of your arm ??

Sometimes the pain could be side-effect of Tetanus Toxoid injection.

mine pained me for complete one week

Family / Re: My Baby Is Yet To Be Sitting. Is It Normal? by Babiesoflagos(m): 10:33am On Feb 29, 2020
By 4 months she should be able to lie on her tummy and hold her neck up. Encourage lots of tummy time, dat way her neck and back muscles will get stronger then the sitting up will happen.
But in general, your baby is still in great health.
