Hackomania: command prompt is, to me, the most powerful interface you could use to interact with your computer.
Same command line interface is used in linux to execute scripts, and you can run any windows application through the command line. Some commands that run on the GUI (graphical user interface, the thing you use your mouse to control on the screen) even have more parameters if run on command prompt.
To know more (about windows command prompt and shell programming), I suggest you do a little study about Windows PowerShell. Google can help you (if you know how to query it)

Sports / Why Sports Stars Go Broke by babihouse(m): 11:29am On Apr 05, 2013
Sixty-five per cent of sportsmen go broke (bankrupt) after they quit the limelight. In England wages of footballers average £30 000 a week (more than many households earn annually) but seven out of every ten ex-footballers are said to be 'broke' and having serious difficulties making ends meet. Legendary sportspeople like Mike Tyson(earnings: $350 million, )Evander Holyfield ($250 million), Allen Iverson ($154 million), Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and Steffi Graf all declared themselves broke after their illustrious careers. In Africa the figures are worse but the fact that most ex-African stars are smart and stay away from the public eye when it happens has helped mask the magnitude.

One is forced to ask how on earth this is possible, judging by the enormous sums earned during their active days? LACK OF FINANCIAL EDUCATION Contrary to what most people think, sportsmen are not complete illiterates or un-educated. They are educated in the art of sports and not finance. To get to the top of the world, you have to focus all your time to your sport and school education suffers. Hence, in most cases, top athletes are not educated in financial matters. This is no excuse but they hardly devote time to learn how to manage money. Most superstars originate from acutely poor backgrounds and, in most cases, are raised by financially poor but not necessarily morally poor parents. They generally have a good heart but when the riches come to these sportsmen, they are found wanting in the know-how to handle this sudden wealth. Case Study: Mike Tyson, ex world heavyweight boxing champion FAMILY AND FRIENDS Especially among Coloured stars and Africans, a man's wealth is shared among his family and we do have huge families. Once these sports stars hit the big time, these family members and friends have to be catered for: school fees, feeding allowances, house rents, burials and house purchases etc all are billed to the sports star who erroneously thinks it is his duty to pay this. They become the sole bread winners for family and friends. The financial burden that these stars inherit from their family and extended families is so huge that it practically drains them dry. How much to share with family, friends and their savings account is a dilemma for African stars. The African culture is a communal kind of life and a lovely one at that, where it is deemed normal to share your earnings among family, unlike the western style where your family is just you, your wife and children. Case Study: Aranxta Sanchez Vicario of Spain, a top ex tennis star EARNING TOO FAST A "normal" millionaire builds his millions gradually but athletes make the majority of their income in a short period of time, at a very early age. The entrepreneur can save over that lengthy period and learn to manage wealth at his own pace, unlike young professional athletes. This wealth breeds stubbornness and advice from well meaning people is often ignored. Youth is synonymous with errors, due to inexperience, and it is difficult to tell a rich, young sports star that his ideas are wrong. He will simply ask you, “If you know it better, why aren't you the rich one instead of me?” Case Study: Mike Tyson, ex world heavyweight boxing champion (world champion at age 17) LACK OF POST-CAREER PLANS Very few athletes plan for their post-career life during their active days. The preparation of body and mind for the next stage in their lives is not there. Some even erroneously think they will continue in the sports system for long periods after retirement, as coaches, managers, journalists or analysts. However, there is limited space to accommodate all and these functions need some form of education and study, which most athletes lack. SPENDING A LOT AND SAVING A LITTLE Everyone earns money (if you work) but not everyone saves in the same degree as they earn. Some sports stars mostly think that these huge earnings are not temporary but will last a lifetime. A successful career lasts at the most 10 to 12 years but the athletes sometimes forget that if you retire at the age of 35 and God let's you live till 70, you still have another 35 years to live. Boy those years run slowly when the wealth is not there. "I spent over a million dollars on jewellery"- Andre Rison, former NFL star EXPENSIVE DIVORCES Most sports stars meet their other halves when they are active and are at their best. Retirement means a change to their lifestyle and social standing and also to that of their spouses. This and the more frequent presence at home stifles and pressurises marriages. The end result is divorce and they usually are expensive. The effects are devastating and the inability to cope causes bankruptcy for many. Case Study: Kenny Anderson (Ex basketball star) lost $60 million to ex-wives BAD BUSINESS INVESTMENT Naturally, with so much money earned, many athletes try to invest and follow bad advice from managers and so-called friends. In most cases they invest in ventures that they have no expertise in and often these deals go bad. The success most athletes have as sportsmen seems to blind them from the fact that they might not be successful as businessmen, even in sports business. Case Study: Evander Holyfield, ex world heavyweight boxing champion "THE LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL SYNDROME" At retirement, several sportsmen continue spending and living like they used to when they were active or at their prime. Hundreds of thousands are still spent on jewellery, mistresses and holiday homes in areas they hardly visit. These are quiet drains on their fortune and by the time they realise it, it is too late. Most athletes have a problem transforming from active to passive sportsmen. Case Study: Allen Iverson kept spending $360 000 every month after retirement This piece is written with the aim of sharing with aspiring sportsmen the errors they should avoid and with parents so they know how to mould or guide their children. In conclusion, to err is human but with success comes envy and jealousy and even criminality from dubious minds. One has to be careful and not err in a big way. The harder you try to earn honest money through sport success, the more there are people working even harder to separate you from that wealth. As a sportsman people will love you but you have to love yourself most by being cautious and prayerful. od help us all!

Politics / It’s Unfortunate I Lost My Former Deputy, Sir Agbaso – Okorocha by babihouse(m): 4:35pm On Mar 30, 2013
The new Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, was sworn-in by the State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Benjamin Ahanonu Njemanze Saturday. The ceremony, which took place in the Sam Mbakwe Extended Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Owerri, attracted several dignitaries, including the President, Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Pius Ifeanyi Okpara, lawmakers and traditional rulers. Addressing Prince Madumere, Governor Rochas Okorocha warned that “in this job, you must hate the idea of primitive accumulation wealth, as well as be guided that this job must end one day”. While saying that swearing-in of the new Deputy Governor was ordained by God, Okorocha however expressed regret that he lost his former deputy, Sir Jude Agbaso. “It is unfortunate that l lost my former deputy, Sir Jude Agbaso. It is unfortunate that what happened had to happen. However, I wish him well”, Okorocha said. Responding, Prince Madumere said: “Circumstance have today made me the Deputy Governor. Governor Rochas okorocha has for long remained my mentor. My task as Deputy Governor is easy because I am an apostle of the rescue mission”. He promised to continue being a humble servant, stressing that he cannot afford the luxury of disappointing the government and people of Imo State

Foreign Affairs / North Korea 'readies Rocket Force' After US Stealth Flights by babihouse(m): 11:46am On Mar 29, 2013
North Korea says it has put missile units on stand-by to attack US targets in response to US stealth bomber flights over the Korean peninsula. State news agency KCNA said leader Kim Jong-un signed off on the order at a late-night meeting of top generals. The time had come to "settle accounts" with the US, KCNA quoted him as saying, with the B-2 flights an "ultimatum". Pyongyang has been angered by fresh UN sanctions and annual US-South Korea military drills. Russia said it was concerned by "unilateral action being taken around North Korea" and warned against the situation slipping out of control. China, North Korea's biggest trading partner, has called on all sides to ease tensions. Kim Jong-un "finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be stand-by for fire so that they may strike any time", the KCNA report said. "If they make a reckless provocation with huge strategic forces, the Korean People's Army (KPA) should mercilessly strike the US mainland, their stronghold, their military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea," the agency quoted him as saying. Thousands of North Koreans later took part in a march in Pyongyang in support of Kim Jong-un's announcement, the Associated Press news agency reported. A Yonhap news agency report citing an unidentified military official said increased activity had been noted at North Korea's missile sites, but this remains unconfirmed. The US - which flew two stealth bombers over the peninsula on Thursday as part of the ongoing military drills - has said it is ready for "any eventuality" on the peninsula. In a statement, it said that the B-2 planes demonstrated America's ability to "provide extended deterrence" to its allies and conduct "long-range, precision strikes quickly and at will". "The North Koreans have to understand that what they're doing is very dangerous," US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel told reporters on Thursday. "We must make clear that these provocations by the North are taken by us very seriously and we'll respond to that." The US flew nuclear-capable B-52 bombers over South Korea earlier this month, in what it called a response to escalating North Korean threats. In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei reiterated a call for calm on all sides. He told a daily news briefing that "joint efforts" should be made to turn around a "tense situation". He made similar remarks on Tuesday. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov condemned Pyongyang's actions as "unacceptable", Interfax news agency said. He later told reporters that Moscow was concerned that "alongside an adequate reaction from the [UN] Security Council... there are unilateral steps being taken around North Korea". "We may simply let the situation slip out of our control and it will slide into a vicious spiral." Unprecedented rhetoric Tensions in the Korean peninsula are high following North Korea's third nuclear test on 12 February, which led to the imposition of a fresh raft of sanctions. North Korea has made multiple threats against both the US and South Korea in recent weeks, including warning of a "pre-emptive nuclear strike" on the US and the scrapping of the Korean War armistice. North Korea is not thought to have the technology to strike the US mainland with either a nuclear weapon or a ballistic missile, but it is capable of targeting some US military bases in Asia with its mid-range missiles. While North Korea has issued many threats against the US and South Korea in the past, this level of sustained rhetoric is rare, observers say. On 16 March, North Korea warned of attacks against South Korea's border islands, and advised residents to leave the islands. In 2010 it shelled South Korea's Yeonpyeong island, causing four deaths. On Wednesday, Pyongyang also cut a military hotline with the South - the last direct official link between the two nations. A Red Cross hotline and another line used to communicate with the UN Command at Panmunjom have already been cut, although an inter-Korean air-traffic hotline still exists. The jointly-run Kaesong industrial park is still in operation, however, and over 160 South Korean commuters entered North Korea yesterday to work in its factories. The complex employs an estimated 50,000 North Korean workers and is a source of badly-needed hard currency for the North.

Politics / Ogun Govt Recommends Death Penalty For Corruption by babihouse(m): 5:27pm On Mar 27, 2013
ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State Government recommended death penalty for corrupt practices in the country, calling for an urgent review of the Nigerian criminal code and the Magistrate Court laws to sentence people found guilty of corruption to death. The Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa stated this Wednesday at the annual conference of the Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria in the State. Adeoluwa, who presented a paper titled “Criminal Code, Magistrate Court Law of Ogun State and the Recent Trend of Crimes: A Call for Urgent Reformation”, submitted that if this is done, the country would be rid of corruption and corrupt practices. He noted that provisions of the statues on stealing or misappropriation of public funds were alien to Nigeria and should be amended to conform with present realities. “ Nigeria penal policy is at cross roads. The starting point to the fixing of this problem is to learn from our mistakes and endeavour to formulate policies on the basis of our experience. In whatever way it is formulated, it is important that the policy must adopt strategies or measures which may include harmonizing our criminal laws, the removal of factors that encourage criminal behaviour, the offer of incentives and disincentives, education, deterrents and at the extreme end, sanctions. “Also, in view of the fact that the code allows greater sentencing discretion within each offence grade, there is the need to reform the code in such a way as to limit sentencing discretion so as to eliminate instances of disparate sentences for similar offenders committing offenses. “Corruption is posing a serious danger to the existence of the Nigerian nation today, stating that it is high time we began to excommunicate or eliminate people found guilty of corruption as it is being done in some countries like China “In the light of the danger corruption now poses to our existence as a nation today, it is high time we began to excommunicate or even eliminate people found guilty of corruption. After all, in China , economic crimes attract maximum punishment. It may look extreme but I think we can go the China way. “Plea bargaining in itself is not destructive mechanism, but rather a constructive one. Its essence is to expedite the process of justice and clear the court’s desks to make way for the tons of litigation flooding the court. “The reality is that our recent experiments with the procedure shows that it is billionaire offenders that have the privilege, while the common man is sentenced to five years imprisonment for stealing an item worth less than N100” , Adeoluwa explained.
Do you see any president come 2015 putting this into law?
