You are asking why I said a business degree is a useless degree for anyone coming to Canada in 2026. Let me explain why.

Most people coming to Canada want to stay after finishing school. To do that, you usually have to go through the PR process. If you have been following the recent Express Entry draws, most of them have been category-based draws for things like healthcare, social work, senior manager and French speakers. Sometimes there are a few exceptions, but overall it has become more difficult.

They have not even done a STEM draw in a long time now and PNP are not as easy as 2021 times

Then you could add 2 years of Canadian work experience, which gives about 53 points, plus the points from a Canadian education:

1 or 2 year diploma/certificate: 15 points

For Canadian work experience:

1 year gives you: 40 points

2 years gives you: 53 points

So the real question is this: if you calculate your CRS score without coming to study or work in Canada, and your points are already around 450–470, then yes, you could study business and still possibly get invited through the Canadian Experience Class.

But if you are not already in the 450–470 range before coming to Canada, it becomes very difficult to encourage someone to study business in Canada because getting PR may be hard except you learn french

Unless someone plans to use another pathway, like what Badadvisor has done getting married to his 150KG GF for PR.
