I served in the South East over 2 decades ago.
I happily embraced the language.
Was not threatened by anyone's language including the non-Nigerian languages I lived within later in life.
But lack of respect for others when speaking one's language is insensitive.
The Error of speaking it so loud in public buses to disturb others should be looked into.
I can speak any language I chose to without infringement on the right of other people.
Many members of all tribes are culpable of this insensitivities.
It is a Nigeria thing in which we always don't care about the impacts of our actions on others, but always want the govt to care for us.
