A dreaded and most wanted criminal element, Christian Lucky Kenjika popularly known as School-boy has finally met his end after being killed and beheaded in Rivers state.

It was gathered that the notorious gang member and kidnapper was allegedly killed and beheaded by his fellow cult members after he ‘failed to share proceeds from his kidnapping business’.

He was killed in Ubima community, Ikwerre Local Government Area along with a gang member and their body parts cut off.

The deceased whose corpse was abandoned by the road side – was alleged to have led his gang to attack the executive chairman of Ikwerre and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) entourage at Ipo/Omaedeme area of Rivers state.

Last month, armed men attacked several members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Ipo Omademe in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers state.

According to reports, the publicity secretary of PDP Rivers State Chapter; Hon Darlington Orji JP, Hon Barr B S Emerengwa, Hon Samuel Nwanosike and the leadership of PDP in Ikwerre LGA, were in Ipo on a sensitisation tour before the heavily armed men came out from the bushes and started shooting at the crowd.

It was gathered that one Mr. Uche Nnana, and a lady from Ipo were killed in the attack while several others are injured.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has promised to begin the process of restructuring the country with the first six months of his administration if elected president in 2019.

He made the pledged on Thursday at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) southwest presidential campaign flag off in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

“What is important is the restructuring,” the PDP presidential candidate told a crowd of supporters at the rally. “Within six months, I shall start the process of leading us to the restructuring of this country.”

He added, “I will ensure that the southwest is returned to the PDP. If you give me your support, you will never regret it.”

Atiku accused the Muhammadu Buhari administration of putting the country in debt, saying it has borrowed so much money in the last three years.

He stated that the PDP administration was providing the best educational advancement and job opportunities for the people before the All Progressives Congress (APC) came to allegedly deceive them.

“We believed in them; they told us they would give us jobs, prosperity, but instead they gave us menial jobs,” the PDP candidate alleged.

“I stand before you today to say that we shall return the prosperity of this nation. I want to say that the southwest will be known again for its educational advancement.”

The campaign enjoyed the presence of the party’s bigwigs, including its National Chairman, Uche Secondus; Atiku’s running mate, former Governor Peter Obi; and Senate President Bukola Saraki.
In his address, Secondus said the nation was in crisis and only the party’s candidate can rescue it from its challenges.

He described Atiku as strong, fit and articulate to lead Nigeria and asked the people to cast their votes in favour of the PDP in the coming elections.

The PDP chairman insisted that the party was on a rescue mission and called for a minute’s silence for all those who lost their lives, including the late OPC leader Fredrick Fasheun.

Mr. Adesina, who gave the statement while appearing on a programme on Arise TV, corroborated President Buhari’s stand to the citizens and the international community that the 2019 elections will be free and fair.

Adesina ensured that his principal would rather lose fairly than to rig the 2019 elections.

According to him, the citizens of the country have shown faith in what the president is doing and hope that the administration of Buhari will take Nigeria to the place the country deserves.

Mr. Adesina who said he was surprised to hear that some people may have entertained the idea that the president will attempt to rig the presidential elections, however said that he finds the idea offensive.

The presidential spokesman however said that if anybody was going to try to rig the elections, then it would certainly not going to be the president.

He however assured that the president would do everything possible to ensure a free and fair election.

He said Nigerians should jettison the idea of a possible rigged presidential election.

During a previously chat with Legit.ng, the presidential spokesman also commented on the Buhari’s ‘Next Level document’, saying its main aim is to deepen the development presently taking place in the country.

“It is based on the consolidation and progress of what has already been done and what is to be done in the future. The development will continue and will give its fruits soon.”

Femi Adesina stressed, during the interview, that “if Buhari is re-elected such focal areas as economy, security and infrastructure will receive the attention and funding.”
