Hismajesty44: The man's lucky they called his act "attempting", though nothing wrong for a man to sexualised with late friend daughter but not with underage. Nothing wrong with "for a man to sexualised with late friend daughter"? Really? When the man had died he began to show interest as she's vulnerable and weak. You have the morality of a co-c-k-r-o-a+ch. I bet you find nothing wrong sleeping with your friend's exes too. |

Crime › Re: Husband Arrested After Wife Dies Following Domestic Dispute In Imo State by BadBradley: 7:56pm On Feb 05*. Modified: 8:35pm On Feb 05 |
Emmalez: A man identified as Kelechi Prince Okeke has been taken into custody by the Imo State Police Command following the death of his wife, Olumma Chizoba Lucy Akataobi, 29, after an alleged domestic altercation in Owerri.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, February 2. Okeke, who is from Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, is currently being held at the Homicide Department of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Owerri, as investigations continue.
According to accounts from the family of the deceased, the incident stemmed from a disagreement over ₦35,000. Olumma, a vegetable trader at Relief Market in Owerri, had sold goods worth the amount to a customer. When the customer attempted to make a bank transfer, the transaction reportedly failed. Olumma then provided her husband’s bank account details, into which the customer successfully transferred the money.
Family members claim that when Olumma later asked her husband to release the funds so she could reinvest in her business, an argument broke out. Her sister, Ezinne Akataobi, alleged that the disagreement escalated into a physical assault that led to Olumma’s death.
However, Okeke has denied the allegation. He reportedly told investigators that his wife was eating when she suddenly complained of chest pain, shouted “my chest, my chest,” vomited, and collapsed. He insists she died shortly after, without any physical confrontation.
Olumma’s family has rejected this version of events, insisting that she was subjected to repeated domestic abuse and is now calling for justice. Her sister stated that the family had on several occasions advised Olumma to return home, assuring her of their support, but she repeatedly went back to her husband.
Police authorities have confirmed that the matter is under investigation. Images circulating on social media show the suspect in handcuffs, fueling public outrage and renewed conversations around domestic violence.
As of the time of filing this report, the Imo State Police Command has not released an official statement on the cause of death. The outcome of the investigation will determine the next line of action.

They were waiting for doctor's report and autopsy in the absence of physical bruises and marks. Nigeria police arrest on mere accusations and conduct investigations after. Such a waste of taxpayers funds. If there are no bruises, cuts, violence on the crime scene or body of the woman, the police should interrogate the man, get his sentence and release him until evidence is procured. Sports › Re: Morocco Set To Pull Out Of Hosting WAFCON 2026, South Africa Ready To Step In by BadBradley: 11:08am On Feb 02 |
semid4lyfe: Good news. Morocco should officially withdraw already, they shouldn't waste time so South Africa can step in timely. They should even go further and withdraw from participating in the WAFCON, good riddance to bad rubbish.
Morocco has well-developed infrastructure, state of art stadia and sporting facilities, and were very good hosts but they're terrible sportsmen and their sense of sportsmanship is zero.
This thing started after the WAFCON when they filed a petition to CAF against the Namibian referee that officiated the final for "refereeing injustices" and the fallout was the resignation of the Ivorian head of the CAF referees committee who cited "interference" for quitting.
CAF subsequently appointed someone from DR Congo to head the Referees Committee and the outcome was the poor and blatantly pro-Morocco officiating we watched in the 2025 AFCON.
As a result, they got away with too much on the pitch. Their players constantly foul-baited referees, played to con VAR, committed bookable offences without being carded, penalties not being awarded against them etc They stole opposing keeper towels, used lasers, physically assaulted players and committed all manners of gamesmanship tricks so the whole of Africa was happy they did not win the AFCON.
Also, I am tired of Moroccans acting like they did Africa a favour by hosting the AFCON as if the infrastructure and sports facilities are not for the benefit of Morocco and Moroccans.
Morocco did not just host AFCON, they corrupted and poisoned football. Even the CAF awards is no longer based on meritorious performance. That's the reason a Moroccan coach of TP Mazembe in DR Congo who did not win the domestic league or anything in the continent will win the Women's coach of the year award ahead of Justin Madugu who won the WAFCON.
So I welcome and applaud their withdrawal from hosting the WAFCON. Make another country host am. yet you say they are good host. |

Rhymesy: Nigerians will just be posting just to make fame. Let's understand this. UK is a temperate country locating in the temperate region and temperate snakes are nonvenomous; meaning that there are not poisonous. Nigeria is a tropical country locating in the tropics. Biogeographically, equatorial region is a home to most deadliest species of animals (reptiles inclusive). In UK, out of 50 snakes, the chance of seeing one that is poisonous in the midst of them is less than 1. Comparing snake bites in UK and Nigeria is a bias argument that lacks credibility.Netizens are not fools. We came from different field of studies. Stop blaming the government. Fumigate your environment and stay safe. May her soul rest in peace. dumbest quote of the century. All of Europe are more keen and invested in anti snake venom in a place, according to you, they has less venomous snakes than sub Sahara Africa that has one of the worst snake mortality rate in the world. I don't know why you people who sold assets and family property to travel abroad for survival believe you can lecture anyone on reality. Sub Sahara Africa still rely on anti snake venom from Europe that don't suffer same fate and you're here saying the government shouldn't be blamed. Pffts |
