This is juxtaposed with the panel after Eren's birth where Grisha says to Eren : "Eren, you are Free"

Wrong interpretation 1 : Eren doesn't know why he did the Rumbling ❌

Wrong interpretation 2: Grisha's manipulation led Eren to do the Rumbling ❌


Correct interpretation in my opinion:
There is a reason why both scenes were juxtaposed. That is, in order to answer the question in the same panel.

We know for a fact that the Attack Titan can see memories of its future inheritors. And as such the future inheritors can use these memories it shows to manipulate the past users. It is even more effective when it is founder + attack

The Attack Titan's nature is a manifestation of Eren's innate obsession with freedom

Kruger stated that every past user of the Attack Titan has always had that obsession to fight against oppression. And it was revealed later in the paths plottwist that this obsession was as a result of Eren's ideology of freedom passing across time to past users -
So the reason the past users of the Attack Titan were that way was because of Eren's Will

At the time of Eren's birth, Grisha was a holder of the Attack Titan and as a result was affected by Eren's will.
Basically, Grisha saying to Eren: "Eren, you are free" is more or less future Eren reinforcing his freedom belief on his child self


Thus, the panel means that despite all the various reasons Eren started the rumbling e.g ending the Titan Curse, or saving his friends...
The main reason that enforced Eren into starting the rumbling was his "IDEOLOGY OF FREEDOM"

Whenever I watch movies like Shazam, I lose more hope on the Superhero genre

I mean I get the idea on making every movie appropriate for most audiences, but come on...a little actual violence won't hurt...

9 year old kids on Reddit are watching super violent shows, even mature anime are being watched by kids...
I'm not asking for some gory shii...but a little blood won't hurt...

Multiverse of Madness pulled it off, mature content but managed to pull off the age rating (I think)

Disaster is happening and everyone is smiling happily.
Why are the background characters casually jogging around in circles? It doesn't take more than a few minutes for the area to be cleared off in a disaster...
It feels like the directors don't even care...
The background characters aren't even running, they're more or less casually jogging while having fun...

That is aside the fact that no one is actually allowed to get hurt on screen...

And finally, why should I even care about what the villains are doing if the producers and characters don't?
Why should I even care if the villains destroy the world, when the movie makes no effort to actually give me a reason to care

The audience will not automatically care just because the world in a movie is about to be destroyed...you need to build things up...
Show the audience people suffering, scared, show the heroes actually struggling, actually caring

We need to see people in peril...
Not 100 CGI buildings getting destroyed


Look at the action, heroes and villains keep fighting with useless punches and kicks that do 0 damage except maybe knock someone unconscious when the plot decides to ..

Japan has been having hits after hits internationally in recent years with their anime. Demon Slayer smashed records. Jujutsu Kaisen did very well. One Piece Red also did good. The hits just plenty.

Follows a girl who is being stalked by a psychopath

Movie shows how someone can stalk people by hacking into their mobile phones. The dude could see everything you're doing by accessing your phone's camera. He can hear everything through the phone's mic/speaker

While the target is asleep, he would take full control of her smartphone, he can access everytime, all her social media accounts, take and post pictures with her phone etc

Shows how scary it is if someone is able to install a spyware on your phone.
One of the telling signs of malware is quick battery drainage

Pretty scary knowing how much control people have over us. How scary our personal data can be in the wrong hands...

Torturing viewers to watch hours in black and white just to make a point that could have been made through many other ways is a TERRIBLE DECISION


Compare this to how Mr Robot S4 did it's visual storytelling
That's a method that is powerful and entertains the audience as well...

The Black and white is mostly to portray the tone. The use of black and white is to draw the viewer's eye and aid in the framing of shots is spectacular. It is also underscoring and symbolizing Saul Goodman's journey out of darkness and toward the light 🤭

If you're watching a series in high quality and they decide to turn some episodes into 240p quality in order to pass across a message....would you enjoy it?


Black and White is a major turn off to a lot of people. I don't envy 1900s television, I don't want to watch anything in black and white whether as a stylistic choice or not

I found lots of similar complaints...
If it was only for let's say 10mins, we can manage that...but doing so far full episodes is a terrible decision.

There are other ways to effectively pass across the same message without affecting viewers experience

I was unable to enjoy the black and white scenes, the viewing experience almost bored me to death...it felt like torture

5 seconds of a cigarette fire being in coloured does not make up for long suffering of watching Black and white

The intention was good. The message was good. It's clearly a dig at the political structure of Lagos and how a "certain someone" has Lagos in his palms with youths wasting their lives fighting for those in power and dying for nothing.

Unfortunately, Nigerians don't learn from their movies.

The problem with the movie however is the execution. The writing has way too much flaws. The characters act in absurd ways. Several characters just feel like they're there for nothing.
