As long as the process is not in conflict with any laid down norms of recruitment, there is no way it will be affected by change in/of leadership. Whether Buhari or GEJ, NLNG is a conglomerate that will recruit weda it is democracy, theocracy, militancy, militocracy or sentimentocracy! A recruitment process doesn't just gets cancelled like that, especially when it has reached 70% or stage 3. Yes, there are factors that could be of great concern, especially if there are political naivety, insensitive, financial crisis, instability or unconditional short on cash, production or market development, this would have been a better argument rather than the PDP/APC brouhaha. Fellow colleagues in waiting, let's be prayerful please, whatever the outcome, it is better we have a greater Nigeria for the common man than to have a job that could crumble for mismanagement, misrepresentation or misdirection of a government. |
I still stand by the principle of rectification! This English is becoming so unpopular, let's go preserve it for the intended interviews. Now, its time to put logic before negation and brainstorm on how we can collectively be judicious to scale through the panel. Ask questions, give answers, raise issues, burn problems to ashes!!! Someone got to take the lead please. |
Eruditor:LOL I sincerely sheath n relinquish my sword. Peace! Great wars are won without battle (Chinese strategy ) |
prelinctus:Prelinctus! I believe as an intellectual you should know that just because you saw an example on the web doesn't in anyway makes it a reference point, people have all over, and they could upload anything, but why can't you just assist by verifying urself if there is anything like 'chosed' in contemporary english? I am happy we have some language gurus here who could help us panel-beat in whichever direction to justify or rather rectify such a claim that 'chosed' is an indicative, subjunctive or conditional perfect tense. These where the examples given by Dapsy06. Again, this is not about levels. Both you n Dapsy06 perhaps are onto a higher level, but dat doesn't in anyway mean you guys are over/above correspondence or corrections. Please lets discuss as one united Kingdom here! It shall all be well in the end. |
dapsy06:Sorry don't feel offended but kindly extend ur research to a higher level, 'Chosed' is not in any form definitive. Even where you got those examples stated clearly 'chosed' is not in anyway a perfect tense for choose, chose or chosen. Gudnyt bro!
|
dapsy06:Wonderful, I guess you must be sleepy! That message again wasn't yours! Pls lets not make it rusty d cordial relationship we share here! I respect you and ur sense of humour. Goodnight |
[quote author=dapsy06 post=31627517]@ Badema, only God is supernatural. Not even in my biggest dreams will I claim to be one. I learn everyday and will not stop learning till I die. However, I know my equals and I also know my mentors so pls don't drag me into another issue. OK. |
dapsy06:Well said! By the way am Male. On a quick one, weda indicative, subjunctive or conditional, there is not a perfect tense as 'chosed' weda as a future perfect tense, present perfect, continous perfect, imperfect or pluperfect tense. I see no reason why you would be so mean! We meet to path as we can path to meet once more, it's just some guys sharing here! Dats all. |
babacha:You conspicuously avoided as if suffering from myopia to see clearly that Hyson sees itself as a partner to NNPC even if you claim otherwise.
|
UGLYS:LOL!!! Age is not a sign of maturity and youthfulness is not a sign of innovation. We are humans ooo! I am not supernatural, perhaps the MSc fella is! |
dapsy06:Accept it whenever you are corrected. Choose-Chose-Chosen The word you referred to 'chosed' didn't scale even Thesaurus dictionary. Pls accept n move on, we all make mistakes as humans. |
I guess even if NNPC sees itself as having 'Hyson' as a subsidiary, on the other hand, Hyson sees NNPC as a partner. I believe we should move on to other topics that would be more beneficial rather than being argumentative. Let's try to discuss functionalities, organograms, present-day scenarios that may likely come up in an interview, group discussions or even presentations. Eruditor, Sombaby I put u guys on d lead here!
|
babacha:Well you didnt care to indicate which of the two has its office at 'Pagama' as you clearly referred "that is why THEIR Office is in pagama", adding "both are subs...." in ur next sentence. Thanks for the update on E&P. |
aligs:Well I didn't actually sent it to you, let alone u sending it back, if u care todo some digging, u will come up with a mindset regarding subsidiary-JVC relationship n how both can mean either way, I was at Hyson for a couple of months, I hv read all n heard all d basics right from 1989 to recent days. If u take hyson to be a subsidiary, yes I would accept but only when you refer to that as not 'wholly-owned' by NNPC, which practically gives room for a JVC arrangement. And yes, of course Hyson is a JVC, MD n EDS from NNPC, EDO from Vitol. Kindly feel free to avail urself at the Pent house, Ceddi plaza, CBD. For verification and re-affirmation. |
babacha:Sorry but HYSON has its head office in Abuja @ Ceddi plaza, its a JV between NNPC nd Vitol (Mansel n Algasco), NNPC's interest is represented abroad as Calson Bermuda operating mainly in Europe, NNPC Secondee staff holds d positions of MD and EDS while Vitol Holds d position of an EDO, so with utmost conviction its a JVC And again pls try n verify ur facts, cos not in all corporations NNPC owns above 60%, e.g NLNG, NigerMED etc |
Switlife:Yea any JV mentioned as a subsidiary means, NNPC owns slightly below or more than 50% of the shareholdings. Hence companies like HYSON, NLNG, NIDAS mentioned as subsidiaries |
Switlife:DUKE Oil, HYSON, NigerMED, NapOil, Calson Bermuda etc are Joint Venture companies with NNPC, not wholly owned by NNPC |
softrise:Yes NABTEB is NECO's equivalent if I am not mistaken, they are all considered as 'SSCE' alongside WAEC, GCE etc, and besides it was dsame NABTEB U used am sure to gain post-secondary education. |
When people fail to realise how important it is to heed to advise, they may end up facing hurdles and in the end realise it was a costly mistake. 'if/when the centre can't hold, things fall apart'. |
Eruditor:Bro! I think you don't have to abuse him, 'old fool' is a little bit invective, I would rather advice we all keep praying, in the end it doesn't matter which side of the coin faces up! Pls lets make our country great again by staying calm as we wait. |
It is important that we continue to pray to God almighty as we wait for yet another Quarter, we pray it shall come to pass and we will be successful in the end. |
Alhamdulillah! I got a success SMS too! Wrote in KD, applied as GT. Congratulations to all, I pray others receive SMS too. |

PDP’s troubles insurmountable - ACF chieftain Category: Sunday politics Published on Sunday, 09 November 2014 05:00 Written by Ibraheem Hamza Muhammad Hits: 161 0 Comments Alhaji Saleh Gacha Bade is a chieftain of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), three-time senatorial candidate and a former member of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) during late Sani Abacha’s era. The former member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) spoke on his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Excerpts: Why did you leave the PDP for the APC? My reasons for dumping the PDP are so many. The PDP does not respect the rules of law. The reasons also include bad leadership, insincerity, dishonest and above all lack of cohesion. For instance, this government under the PDP breaks international laws as in the case of about $15 million scandal in South Africa. The party does not respect or obey even the Nigerian Constitution. You can consider the recent withdrawal of Hon. Speaker Aminu Tambuwal’s security details, and the 50 per cent reduction of Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s security details during the appointment of the Emir of Kano etc. The problem which the PDP is facing is insurmountable. The level of corruption has worsened the matter as most Nigerians don’t believe that the missing $20 Billion has not been siphoned or corruptly diverted. Another issue is the allegation that N10 Billion was used to charter aircraft by the Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke, who has refused to be probed by the National Assembly. Even internationally, the world acknowledges that the present administration is highly corrupt. Don’t you think that the PDP government under President Goodluck Jonathan is doing well in the fight against insecurity? That is the worst aspect of this administration. We have over 150,000 soldiers, but few insurgents have taken away substantial parts of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. The occupied territories include Bama, Gwoza, Dikwa, Michika, Mubi, Buni Yadi, Nafada etc. The PDP has failed Nigerians. We need change. Apart from its failure to tackle the insecurity, there is lack of infrastructural development, high level of unemployment, and gross indiscipline. The administration is dividing Nigerians along religious, ethnic and sectional differences. We really need change before it is too late. You have declared support for Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso’s presidential aspiration. Why do you think he is the man to beat? Kwankwaso is very honest and hardworking. He is fearless and open-minded. His performance in Kano is commendable. For instance, he has transformed Kano State to a modern state with so many infrastructural developments all over the state. In his effort to develop educational sector, Kwankwaso sponsors over 3,000 children of less privilege people (talakawas) to abroad to study. He has the courage and zeal to bring positive changes in Nigeria. He is not a religious bigot. He is not despotic. He is not a jingoist. Above all, he has cordial relationship with most of his colleagues’ governors, both in the PDP and the APC, including past governors, senators and members of the House of Representatives etc. This was confirmed during his declaration that was attended by 27 senators, 70 House of Representatives’ members, eight governors and the multitude of his supporters all over the country. Definitely, Kwankwaso may have a courageous running mate as a “Winning Team” for APC 2015. Kwankwaso has the support of so many traditional rulers, retired generals all over the country. Even some PDP governors, including previous leaders and other prominent Nigerians will support him. What will you do if Kwankawso fails to get the APC ticket? If former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari or Sam Nda-Isaiah emerges the flag bearer of my party, I will do whatever it takes to render my support. I will be ready to serve under any committee of the presidential campaign as I did in strategy and planning committee for Buhari in 2007. Our main goal and objective is to have a change so that Nigeria will heave a sigh of relief. Change by God’s grace is inevitable as the case in other countries where leaders have failed. Why did you declare similar support for Governor Ibrahim Geidam of Yobe State ahead of 2015 governorship election? Governor Ibrahim Geidam has performed wonderfully well in terms of infrastructural development despite security challenges. For instance, there is a road which the PDP awarded its contract between Gashua and Yusufari. After paying mobilization fees, the project was abandoned for 12 years. Geidam has completed it within a short time. Similarly, township roads in Nguru, Gashua, Potiskum, Gaidam, Damaturu etc have been solidly constructed. Also, his administratin has completed different housing projects. Many hospitals have been upgraded despite security challenges. He really deserves another tenure to enable him achieve his desired goal of transforming Yobe State from a poor and rural state to a modern and developed state. What will you advise Nigerians in view of the forthcoming 2015 general elections? Let’s all be law abiding citizens. We should respect the laws of our land, our constitution. Let’s be God fearing in all our dealings as one day we shall all account for our deeds. Both Muslims and Christians should imbibe the culture of brotherhood. God decides to place us in one country called Nigeria. Thus, let us team up to develop our country. We should not allow people to fool and throw us into chaos. |
