I am for positive threads not negative All you are saying in essence is that, you care less about the number of people being killed and kidnapped on daily basis and center on his other claimed achievements right? What is the essence of providing basic amenities without securing the lives of the people who are meant to live and enjoy those basic amenities? |

helinues: Time never reach. We want the opposition to keep on saying this government hasn't done a thing
How many new army Depot do we have now in Nigeria? How many new army barracks? How about medical centre from scratch.
How many new established tertiary institutions?
We go choke the opposition with projects What contribution has the newly erected Depots and Barracks made towards curbing the security situation in the country? Mind you, security is still at zero level. |

Burob: The ADC just a congregation of organized Wailers. Yes, I agree with you that they are bunch of wailers. One thing you fail to know is this, life itself is transient, nothing last forever. The system and the people you are benefitting from today in this government will not last forever, nor APC itself. So, enjoy your time and moment and allow those wailing to wail in peace. So, whether you like it or not, the abnormalities you don't want to be corrected today, will someday hunt your kind and it will then be your turn to wail. Where is Mannergrii the snake and barbecue griller and his darling daddy Buhari today? Who did worse than what you are doing today. They are now inconsequential in the scheme of things today. So, enjoy your time and moment in silence. |

Reference: So what is needed since the club is no longer attractive to high quality talent is to get a world class gaffer who certain capable players are willing to play and die for. Do a total house cleaning and get a new squad.
Now, because of FFP this may take many years but this is the only way and the price to pay for misadventure over the past decade and a half since Sir Alex retired. You made a valid point here, but unfortunately, the management would not admit that will never be patient enough to tread this part you are suggesting.
It will take time. This is what the United management and the fans have to accept. For sustainable progress to levels of the late 90's and early 2000's they need to be ultra patient. Get the right person and stick with him. |

Christianity Etc › Re: How Testimonies Can Grow Your Faith by bakobenjamin198: 11:18am On Dec 21, 2025 |
SmartPolician: You made a very valid point, but remember that this conversation is about testimonies building people's faith. I watch other ministries and their testimony sessions. Personally, people's verifiable testimonies (testimonies whee you can see a clear difference or proof) strengthen my faith.
I just think that those churches or ministries should vet what people want to testify about. If it's not worth anyone's time, they will decline such requests to testify before the congregation. Thank God that you got my point. The truth is that, there are countless things that would help build people's faith aside public testimonies. Mind you, I am not against "testimonies," but rather, I am against " Public testimonies," because of its intimidating effect. So, emphasis should mostly be laid on "love," that is, "the love of God and humanity," which is the greatest of the commandments that Jesus gave us which is greater than any bullshit "faith building." |
Christianity Etc › Re: How Testimonies Can Grow Your Faith by bakobenjamin198: 10:48am On Dec 21, 2025 |
So SmartPolician: That's not true. I'm a Catholic. I've seen my church member get Canadian PR and another get a job that helped her move her family (her husband inclusive) to America.
In a typical pentecostal church, the two church members would've come out to testify about how they prayed and made sacrifices for these things because they actually did, including seed sowing. But they didn't testify because my church doesn't allow it.
Testimonies strengthen the faith of those who want to achieve what God has already done for the testifier. If you choose to lie on the altar of God, that's your call.
Orthodox churches aren't quick to embrace changes because they have established global structures through which ideas are reviewed before implementation. Daddy GO doesn't make a pronouncement and everyone starts applying it, NO! Is just that you don't know where I am heading to. My point is, public testimonies are a bullshit, reason is, there are a individuals who have made it a habit to always appear before the congregation to be given unnecessary testimonies such as, recovering from headache, running stomach, itches on their skins and the like. They make it look as if they are the only ones that God favours above others, or they are the only ones that knows how to appreciate God, thereby, making others feel intimidated and looked down as people that don't really appreciate God, thereby forcing others to come out and lie by given fake testimonies. I have a friend that has been complaining of the same thing in his church, that almost every Sunday, the same faces due appear to give testimonies and it makes them that would prefer to keep their testimonies to themselves and appreciate God secretly feel intimidated and usually forces those even without testimonies to come out and lie just for them not to be seen as ungrateful people that don't want to appreciate God. So, my point is, the Orthodox churches believe appreciating God is a personal thing and should be carried out privately and which is between the person and his Maker and not something that should be publicized. Moreover, public testimonies are not a requisite to making heaven, but your personal dealings with your fellow human beings and your creator. |
Christianity Etc › Re: How Testimonies Can Grow Your Faith by bakobenjamin198: 10:05am On Dec 21, 2025 |
SmartPolician: That's a fact. I don't know why the Orthodox Churches don't make room for testimonies. You should have said, "you don't know why they don't make room for people to come and lie." So, they know better than you do, the reason they don't make room for people to come and lie all in the name of "testimonies." |

GanagiBeetrus: SPIRITUAL INVESTMENT. Investment does not always denote financial or business enterprise.
For instance, Hope you know your kids are your investment? I know, but in the case of nowadays Pastors, they view "Church investment" on the financial angle, not in your own way or view of it |
Christianity Etc › Re: Rev. Akindayomi Overlooked Family And Handed Over To A Young Pastor Adeboye! by bakobenjamin198: 11:49am On Sep 07, 2025 |
besticality: I hope the same spirit of God will be allowed to choose after Pastor Adeboye. This is where you lie. There will never be any spirit anywhere to choose any successor for Adeboye. He has already known who would succeed him and I bet you, it will definitely be his immediate family member. So, he will definitely decide and won't allow any spirit anywhere to do that for him. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Rev. Akindayomi Overlooked Family And Handed Over To A Young Pastor Adeboye! by bakobenjamin198: 11:43am On Sep 07, 2025 |
GanagiBeetrus: That's the right & ideal thing to do. But he probably would have thought twice if the church was a big multi-million naira church then.
But I can't condemn those who hand over to family members, because if I am in their shoes, I may not hand over a lifetime investment I have sweated to build to a non-family member. Since you tagged it an "investment," it means it is no longer a church, but a business enterprise.
Although there may be circumstances that will compel you to hand over to a non-family member. since you tagged it an "investment," it now means, it is no longer a Church, but a business enterprise. |

If you get three yeses to these questions, anyone else's approval is just extra.
I'm hoping you're thinking about marriage—if she's wifable and the girl's family are not against it, then do the needful and start focusing on more salient matters.
However, there's a generational difference between you guys. If you're jumping into this pool, be prepared to encounter differences in thinking. You're both at quite different stages in life.
If you can't be patient enough to deal with it, kindly leave her be. If you are wise enough, I would advise you to heed to this man's advice, for there is no advice greater than this. |

Angelfrost: If Meritocracy and Integrity mattered anywhere in Nigeria, Buhari and Atiku would never have ever contested for elections, not to speak of the former becoming President for 2 terms.
You can't have the quality of leaders (both elected and appointed) and speak of Meritocracy and Integrity.
If we really dig deep enough, she might have strayed far from those terms in getting to that position. On Buhari, I agree with you, but on Atiku, I disagree. The level of Atiku's intelligence compare to that of Buhari is 80 over 20 (80/20). |
