poverty reduces religiosity. paying tax makes people to hold Thier government responsibility just as we see in Western world. they pay tax heavily and when they felt unsatisfied with any leader, they take it up with that person. Our problem still lies heavily on poverty. we are on survival of the fittest mode which is natural whenever resources are limited. Kobojunkie: I disagree! Nigeria's problem is hinged on the fact that its constitution was created for its failure from the beginning. When you have two different sets of laws for people, you create a condition for failure. Let me provide you with an example. 😒
A couple of years ago, Orji Kalu was arrested and prosecuted. He was expected to spend many years of his life in jail. But suddenly, he came back wearing Islamic garb, claiming he had turned to Islam. And you know what happened right after that? The cases against him simply disappeared, and he was rewarded with a position in government. Why do you think that happened? It had everything to do with Sharia Law. Under Sharia Law, what Orji Kalu's crimes against kafirs(an Arabic term meaning "disbeliever" or "infidel," referring to someone who rejects Allah's authority or Islamic teachings) are not criminal at all. 😒
Here are a couple of books from Islamic Scholars to read to understand Sharia from the fairy tales(Takiyah-driven) that have become commonplace even in Nigeria, among non-Islamics. 😒 1. The Life of Mohammed (aka Sirah Rasullulah) by Ibn Ishaq 2. History of AL-Tabari(History of the Prophets and Kings) by Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari 3. Reliance of the Traveller by Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri 4. Muqaddimah by Ibn Khaldun 5. Tahrir al-Wasilah by Ruhollah Khomeini 6. Islamic Government: Governance of the Jurist (also known as Velayat-e Faqih) by Ayatollah Ruhollah Imam Khomeini
You can read this up for yourself. 😒 |

only you replied with sense, we want to compare what IBB borrowed in Naira to what Obasanjo borrowed, for us to properly make logical sense, we must find a common ground for comparison, that's comparing the money in dollars. Those money were borrowed in dollar. that's why I said Tinubu time as the president of Nigeria is way better than others. I can now see the effect of frequent strike in our institution on the quality of graduates we are producing Poor thinkers without sense. shey 4 years program most of the time will end in 6 years where most of the students would have lost interest in Thier study, tell me how quality graduate will be produced. oyebanji: This is being clever by half. What is the dollar value of the loans for the 2 periods? To put this in context, under Buhari, Naira to USD was averagely N320 while under Tinubu its averagle N1400. At Buharis N75trn and Tinubu's N65trn, loans under Burai is $234bn while same under Tinubu is $46bn. |

chai, Nigeria youths are not intelligent at all, no critical thinkers. look at what we are dragging for several hours. for our information, the same old men will rule us for a long time because we don't have the tenacity and capacity to handle leadership. Tinubu is a thief, dubious and curry but definitely smarter than most of the youth in Nigeria. he planned ahead and put ensure no stone is left unturned. he started by introducing LG autonomy, so that even LG chairmen will be encouraged to mobilize Thier people to vote. it was difficult for him but he Scape through. he tested his experiment through the primary. 2. He already knows human are not rational as we think, they are gullibles, ejsy People were criticizing the same Peter Obi when he was governor but today, most of the same people consider him as Messiah. even Buhari was treated the same way. So, to influence people to vote even against Thier wish won't be difficult. he set up enough footsoldiers to do the job even without rigging. Rigging is not necessary to win elections in Nigeria, just have enough footsoldiers that will brand you in a good light. Otoge was used to end Saraki dynasty in Kwara state. Edo no be Lagos was used by Obasiki to win his second term. those slang just got into the heart of the people, without much thought, they were bewitched to vote for the initiator. very simple, even obi had to use religion sentiment to get votes from Christians especially in the north central |

Hmm, You are also believing the same thing as far as you support Iran. Iran was never a Muslim country but islam was forced on them Egypt too were not originally Ahab but today they are. if you are condemning Isreali action which I think you raised a valid point, you should do something to Ahab countries too KobolanderSegun: The reason why Turkey want to Join us because everyone saw how Germany started in 1938. Conquest mentality never ends. Look at Nigeria and terrorism only a mumu thinks you can pay a terrorist off.
A terrorists goal is control of the land, to turn people into slaves and to rape women, if you give them money they just buy arms to continue
The Germans have shown the world clearly that you never allow people who claim land and fight wars to flourish.
If you think a land grabber and a killer is your friend or has a sense of morality just wait till when they come for you.
Jesus said " By their fruits you shall know them ". It is not from the Bible or from history you judge people, it is not by the name they call themselves or by what people call them. Just look at people's actions and you will see them very clearly.
If God told you he was going to give you your brothers shirt do you have a right to take his shirt without his permission ? If it was truly God that same God will tell him to give it to him.
It's amazing how the 10 Commandments say Do not Covert your neighbors house, wife and anything your neighbors own but people are using God to covert land and kill for land. Does the Bible not say "thou shalt not kill ? "
It's Amazing how Christians disregard the teaching of peace of Jesus Christ but embrace the actions of Moses.
Who is the Messiah. Jesus or Moses.
Alot of the supporters of Genocide do it because they have been brain washed to believe in Superiority and deem themselves as inferior
You see them giving their alliegence to America and Israel as life America and Israel are ordained by God to save the world. God's Chosen people where not Ordained to Save the World. Noah who saved the World was not a Jew Enoch who went to heaven was not a Jew
Religion did not start with Abraham, it started with Adam, Adam and Eve were not Jews.
When people have a broader view of the Bible they read they will see that God has no favorites and His Word's are his favorites.
Jesus Christ never spoke of any Promised land neither did he preach about it. But the Nigerian Christians believe in a promised land their savior never spoke upon.
Christian Fanatism and Fundamentalism is very alive and well. I will not even call it Christian it's more about Racial and Religious Superiority that Nigerian Christians believe in.
This is what happens when people worship people based on their skin color not looking on wether their deeds are good and bad.
A group of Nigerian private University school students went to badagry in 2018 for an excursion and they saw the slavery chains.

If the president of America has been Bibi, do you think Isreal wont strike them? Do you know how many lives of civilians that would die that day. we should stop analysing war with emotions. we should think about what could make Iran to use civilians? that's not boldness, that's recklessness. Using your civilians as shelter. They really tried to stand US and Israeli forces for 40 days, they showed resilience but they don't have a chance to stand US and Israeli at the same time Thier major weakness is, they don't have strong defence system to intercept missiles from Isreal and US. isreali saw the weakness that's why Isreal kept on killing Thier officials and destroying thier infrastructure because nothing is protecting those things. I disagree with that, even if they produce more crude oil than this, it won't affect common man. if the little we are producing is managed maximally, it will affect the common man nairalanda1: Let's be honest, common man cannot feel impact of crude oil, because Nigeria is not producing, and has never produced the amount of crude that we need to give everybody a good life.
(Note that I did not say that there is no corruption or that government is good, and that tinubu na good leader, so don't go there).
Income from crude is not even enough to provide for one to three states. And yet, that's where 80% of our income comes from.
Even if Nigeria goes up to 10million bpd , it won't improve our life much
The thing that sane nations with saner climes have is a diversified industrial economy that works and a massive tax system that pays into the welfare system, among other things. Countries that rely only on oil, like Saudi and Bahrain and Qatar, can afford to do so because their populations are tiny, and they run the risk of becoming broke if oil prices crash.
Where all your governments have been failing is that they have not developed a diversified industrial exporting economy for Nigeria. Especially APC which promised that in 2015, and has not effing delivered, which is why tinubu is weak
Instead, everyone has been following Awo's lead. Sell raw materials and share money, which leads to a situation where the money would never be enough and where stealing happens at the highest level because the closer one is to where the sharing happens is wheere stealing happens.
And even if there is no stealing, oil revenue, before we start talking about allocating money, is not up to 150 billion dollars...and most of the time it is below 100 dollars. Nigeria needs something like at least 500 billion dollars revenue for budget issues and so forth.
