RomanceRe: Why Are Many 30 & 40 Something Year-Olds Unmarried These Days? by Banbanna(m): 10:02pm On Feb 21
And you're not anymore wiser than this person you've replied to, by presupposing that an old married couple would not likely end up lonely because he or she is not going lose his or her partner to death or to some terminal mental illness.
So this life no be one way, and not as you see am, bro!

All these baggy tops and pants (Trousers) don help improve some people body insecurities sha.
I mean helping to hide the actual shape of those shapeless women with almost straight figure, and also helping the fat ones look and feel more at home in those biggy clothes. And the skinny ones too, makes them somehow look bigger
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Brentford Vs Arsenal (1 - 1) On 12th February 2026 by Banbanna(m): 11:11pm On Feb 12

What a breathtaking 2nd half game of football!
This Brentford na one kind stubborn winch o 😁😸. I don't think I missed much from the first half coz I couldn't meet up with the game on time.

Those people teasing Arsenal for being experts at setpieces & corners haven't really seen Brentford. This team's setpieces and very physical football do have away of frustrating the football life out of any opposition team, especially that thick Kayode guy throws. He is like the modern day version of Rory Delap of Stoke City years ago.
Brentford could have easily won this game but for that vital block made by Mosquera. At least one point is better than no point at all for AFC.

You made a good point. It's the same strategy Arteta seems to be using now with Gyogeres. And he's so far been better coming off the bench.
dominique:
Some players make better impacts as substitutes than starters. When Sesko used to start, he only had 2 goals to his name. Now that he's being brought in, he has scored 2 crucial goals in 3 matches. He's doing better as a sub than as a starter at the moment, Carrick should not change that for now.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: West Ham Vs Manchester United (1 - 1) On 10th February 2026 by Banbanna(m): 11:19pm On Feb 10

Carrick and his guys just snatched a draw from the jaw of a defeat.
If this was a match during Amorim's time, it would be a very certain defeat against this relegation threatened Westham side that are battling for EPL survival.
Manutd try sha. The game wasn't easy for them. Perhaps it's about time Carrick starts featuring Sesko as a starter. The guy's really improved. That was a pure striker's goal.

EPL and drama na 5 & 6 walai!
They are so effing stickler for rules. Why didn't they just let it be that 1 -3 goal result rather than send off Liverpool's darling at the moment player, Szobo.

I'd bet that most LFC fans if not all of them would have humbly take the 3 -1 defeat just so they could have their best player for the upcoming matches.
E pain me for Szobo sha. He's such a good ball battler, a go getter. He couldn't help himself in that situation, same as Haaland battling for City.

That Arabu looking Portuguese man had better just buried his head in shame given the way this same United team he labeled the worst in the history of the club has turned the corner so quickly. Time and Change has clearly proven that he, Amorim was the one who made the team so wacked up and abysmal with his dumb, clueless football tactics & system.

Since Carrick has been on board, the all-round football play, player's improved work ethic & positive attitude are clearly seen by everyone. I can't remember the last time I found watching a Manutd game quite interesting.
United rode on some luck today sha with that red card of Romero. It was even the same tackle that Dalot made on Doku that he got away with, against Mancity.

You've spoken raw truths here. A bit like what I was telling my churchy Elder sister and my sister in-law the other day, that God has no religion and far predated it, religion is just man-made.
Before the European and Arabs came, Africans knew the existence of a higher, supreme being. Seeing God through only the lense of religion only makes him small and partial.
Kemetian:
THE PEOPLE YOU THINK ARE 'DEAD' ARE MORE ALIVE THAN YOU RIGHT NOW.

In fact YOUR EARTH LIFE is so boring and dry compared to what's happening in the Land of the Ancestors.

You people need to drop that bible and learn some real knowledge.

When we hold parties at the end of an elderly person's life, it's because we know (not 'believe'. KNOW) they are returning home to a place of Happiness and Abundance.

The Land of the ancestors is your natural home from where you came, and you do not need to ''believe in'' any ''saviour'' before you can return Home.

And we have known this for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS before English thieves and invaders twisted your heads with 'Jesus' a mere century ago, reducing you to 'born sinners who need 'white man Jesus' to be ''saved''.

NONSENSE.

City and Aston villa will be watching their backs now coz it seems this resurgent Manutd team will not be slowing down anytime soon on their good run of form. I won't be surprised if Manutd ends up taking the 3rd or 2nd spots from either of them.

Na that Jersey number 9 dem suppose sell or even just permanently retire am sef, not the man 😊😁. That number seems jinxed. If dem still go buy another top striker , he'll even struggle because more often than not, CFC goals mostly come from the field. It's been like that since the time of Lampard who always outscored Fernando Torres.
If not that Drogba wore number 11, he would have had a tough time with that number 9.

He's just more of brawn than brains. Some kind gidigidi player.

Chelsea really tried for forcing their way into the automatic qualification spot.
Winning @ the Maradona stadium is not that easy. But given the poor records of any Antonio Conte's teams in Europe, you could have bet that Chelsea would've a chance against them.
Btw,. some of tonight's UCL matches were so exciting, with surprising results. Especially the way Benfica FC sneaked into the knockout phase with that last kick of the ball goal by their unlikeliest scorer, their goal keeper,Trubin beating his Madrid counterpart, Courtois

You see that warm water thing. It works like magic for me. Have been having warm water first thing in the morning for the past 3 months. Sometimes taken with a little drop of honey. Softens my stomach and it even makes my toileting to be easier these days, and it slows down my need for breakfast.
I'm in my mid 40s .Just recently, I checked my weight which I thought would be 75kg, surprisingly it dropped down to 71kg. Though, I occasionally do exercise during the week.
I think you too should develop the habit of drinking warm water if you haven't already.

As far as West Africans are concerned, those East and South Africans are dumb/mumu for allowing those Wildebeests, Antelopes, etc we see in Wildlife videos, to grow in large numbers. Conservation is the least of our concerns down here, It's not like the East/Southern Africans don't poach or hunt for food, theirs is much more regulated by govt

Sonnobax15:
Good day to every Nairalander out there. Hope each and every one of you is doing well today?

Today, indeed marks a day which we will never forget in my family. Exactly this day, last year we could have lost my immediate younger brother to an unknown illness that struck him from nowhere.

I was on the road, hustling for my daily 2k on that morning when I got a call from my father. On his end,I could feel all wasn't well with him because he was sounding so worried. I had to curiously asked him if everything was alright because I've never known my father,a retired soldier to be a weakling or the type who cries over whatever life throw at him.

"Na your younger brother dey sick. He dey hospital like this as me and you dey talk". He replied.

On hearing those words,I could feel still waters running down my spine. For sure,I may be everything but I'm not the type who jokes with my family and my close friends. And that's one fact that can't be taken away from my personality.

That was how I had to drop every single passenger that had already boarded my Keke and I headed straight up to the hospital where my brother was admitted into.

The doctor, being a family friend of ours did everything he could but all his efforts seemed abortive. He had no other option than to tell us to seek "spiritual means" as he claimed he had never came across this kind of illness all through the years of his medical practice.

Looking at my younger brother,a young man in his late 20's who has always been known for his liveliness and smartness, weeping and grasping for his last breath:I couldn't hold back my tear. Right there,I remembered a quote I was came across on TikTok --"Black men still cry"

While we kept waiting for my elder sister and my immediate brother to come around so that we could make our next move, different thoughts kept running on my mind,as I've never been a believer of "spirituality". As a matter of fact,I detest everything that has to do with prophecy being I've witnessed its first hand damages which most fake prophecies have brought upon once peaceful families. But this time around,I just had to believe and for once believe that God can definitely heal my brother.

Finally,my elder siblings came and we were set to move, and was accompanied by our uncle. The first church we got to, happened to be the same Church where my elder sister used to worship in. The prophet came out and the first thing that came out from his mouth was that it was my brother's ex girlfriend that had poisoned him.

Before now,my brother had always been complaining about how fetish his girlfriend was. And she was always fond to threatening my brother that she'd end her life should he break up with her. Not that my brother broke up with her because she was fetish but because she wasn't fateful and was dating multiple men. The argument that brought about the break up was when she traveled and returned back with 3 months pregnancy cheesy. The werey wanted to pin it on my brother but he refused. That was when she swore never to let any stone unturned cheesy

Finally,my brother got healed and he returned home in one peace. Since then, the young dude has sworn never to go into any serious relationship grin. We don talk,we don tire.

So Nairalanders, has anyone been on a similar situation before?

You're now assuming that she's promoting prostitution for renting her own apartment and even going to the extent of wondering how she'll maintain it in the long run as if women don't get educated and work in the same field as you guys.

Some of you are just misogynists and threatened by career women.

The family shouldn't drag this issue further, it's embarrassing enough. Sometimes I just wish this all Social media thing didn't happen, it's become more curse than blessing.
BadBradley:
Truth is that WizKid songs will never be legendary, can never cut across generations or cultures. WizKid doesn't exist where Fela is.

In short WizKid can never produce any classics while Fela has a dozen.
Fela was a musician and instrumentalist, WizKid is a product of technology and has no talent.

His fans are mainly Gen Zs looking for direction in a workd where parents are absent and WizKid offers then gutter music as escapusn from their reality marked by a deep void.

Fela was original, WizKid is a talentless copy.

He and davido have no talent but sold music through the age and agency of social media .

Musically comparing Fela and WizKid is a sacrilege and a taboo

I used to occasionally travel in some of their luxury buses from Cinkasse to Lome and back, once some of them sensed that I'm struggling with my basic French, they just make the communication better by speaking some good simple English to me.

That scorelines was just flattering. This game ought to have been 4 nil. Just within a very short space of time, see the effect that Carrick has on this team. When you're good, you're good.

Even without featuring Sesko who suddenly rediscovered his scoring form, they were able to pull it off.
