PoliticsRe: “You Like Prison Small?” — Sowore And El-Rufai Interact In Court by banku: 5:18pm On May 19
Nigerians glorify looters and find fault with true Activists. Sowore has remained consistent since his student days as an Activist.

He has to be careful which other Activist he supports. He got burned a few times supporting those whose supporters came back to haunt him. Just as they later turned against those who support their cause.

One of his Party deputies that has never even suffered a fraction of what Sowore went through, tried to undermine him hoping to corner his funds from international donors.

As long as international are not reactionaries, they are welcomed.
CrimeRe: Former London Imam, Abdu Khan Jailed For Life Over Serial Rape Of Women, Girls. by banku: 1:19pm On May 15
There is what Nigerians call 5&6 with religions and sex. Someone pointed out the millions Catholic Church paid out for sexual abuse. Where are their African victims?

Yet, some people only blame Muslims.

Their heroes are also Christian children abusers like the Muslims. They still hold highest political positions without accountability.

Naira na our hypocrisy dey kill us.
HealthRe: Antidepressant Consumption Per 1,000 People Per Day by banku: 12:53pm On May 15
If you look at the past centuries and what Africans go through, you would be surprised how we survive.

Suffering and Smiling in our genes withstand a great deal of assaults from those outside Africa in search of free labor and untapped resources.

Worse, even our own leaders have exploited same, from political to religious leaders. This is why like crabes fight one another and pull one another down from the barrel.

In Nigeria, call it political opportunities to loot the Treasury.
Foreign AffairsRe: Record Number Of Americans Leaving The Country & Renouncing Their Citizenship by banku: 3:02pm On May 14
These are Americans who prefer good quality of life than political parties at any cost.

Even the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Gainsburg threatened to move to Canada if Trump was elected in his first term.

Most of those who wished they could, were tied down by other consideration. It is more a reflection of how their country is going down.

As for Nigerians, they only care about the political leadership of any party as long as that leader is from their ethnic group. Knowing full well, it has never benefited their generation.

Just want the satisfaction of denying a leader from another ethnic group.
Foreign AffairsRe: Xenophobia: Ramaphosa Condemns South African ‘opportunists’, ‘criminals' by banku: 4:49pm On May 11
As much as I share your feelings, a politician is a politician anywhere. He should have come forward earlier but look at his past and you will know that he is consistent with his latest view.

My horror is how Nigerians have abused their welcome mat in every country to this point. We even call these countries sane climes while we label ours as a zoo.

Instead of us to start stoning our thieves as Ameachi wondered out aloud, we wait for our turn to loot the Treasury hoping for a President from our ethnic group. No matter how good a leader from other ethnic groups is, especially minorities.

Though we know full well there is no party in Nigeria with economic ideology to lift the masses out of poverty in the midst of plenty. Just as Fela say: You Chop I Chop Party. We now see that Nigerians vote ethnic personality, not political party.

Stay out of South Africa and mind your business at home.

EducationRe: Education, Agriculture Candidates Exempted From UTME - JAMB by banku: 1:15pm On May 11
There are sciences in agriculture that require qualifications just as other courses. My only problem with this is that agric and education students will be discriminated against as inferior intellect.

The reason for extra examinations like Jamb is to make sure secondary schools live up to standard before university. It saves universities the tasks of taking more responsibility for remedial courses.

BUT, if they are short of students in education and agriculture, it is the right move.
PoliticsObi May Still Have Time To Build Outside His Base by banku(op): 1:44pm On May 10
While Obi travel all over the Country, some in his base are are turning off his supporters from other parts the country he wants to rule.

The fact is that Igbo best friends outside the South East throughout the world are in Western Nigeria.

If he cannot win them over, he has already lost the Presidential Election. No matter what he does in the North, they will never vote for him.

In the history of Nigeria the North only form Alliance with the the East as a junior partner.

Igbo migrated to Lagos in the 1920s! Name them.

Here we go again with Igbotic stat. that encouraged Obi to go to Alaba Market to thank Igbo that made up the majority of Lagosians.

He woke up Lagosians and Labor lost the rest of the Election as Chinedu for Governor.

Una nor dey hia word.

ottersberger:
Shut up, my friend.

Coming to the public place to rant only confirms you as being emotionally unstable. The whole world knows that the second largest ethnic group in Lagos state is unarguably Igbo.

That is because Igbos migrated to Lagos as early as the 1920s. They contributed to building the Lagos some of you migrating from your SW enclaves in the 90s and 2000 met on the ground.

My family bought our plots of land in what is known today as lekki phase 1 directly from the Elegushi family in the 1970s, where were some you and your people then?.

Why do you think Ahmed Tinubu lost Lagos, and Abuja in the last election?. The same scenarion is playing out in the FCT as we speak. While other well-meaning Nigerians firmly stood with the core message of his excellency and voted for him, including his Yoruba supporters, his Igbo people also broke in large numbers for him.

Those Igbos are Lagosians. Most were born in Lagos. A number of may not even speak Igbo fluently or know where their fathers villages are. But they know who they are. How do I know?, I've met and spoken to a good many of these brothers and sisters.

I know people like you hate to stare the truth in the face, but Lagos is as Igbo as it is Yoruba. Yes, Lagos is Yorubaland, but it was developed by all Nigerians and will continue to be inhabited by all of us until, and if the country disintegrate.

As for saying the rep member scored an own goal, that's nonsense. You are saying he is too stupid to not know who got him there in the first place.

Do you really think politicians are philanthropists?. Abeg, rest.

There has to be a reflection and reorientation toward our loud mouth and aggrandizing behaviors at least outside the country to start gaining back our destroyed reputation.

But in Nigeria, everything turns to politics in support of those who could not care a lobo about us.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Cursed Nigerians In African Countries by banku(op): 3:49am On Apr 27
So true and straight to the point

HacheNoire:
Let me tell you our problem as a Nigerian!

WE ARE TOO LOUD!

That loud that we throw it in the face of our host. Nigerians are not the baddest in anything, but the loudest in everything.

How did you think we get detested in all those countries? It’s not that they found our nationality from thin air, but heard from the horses mouth!

Look at Indians, they will get into any system, keep killing the system, and you won’t hear PIM if you not in their circle!

Nigerians will show off, come online to tell you immigration loopholes of their host country! Tell you social benefit loopholes inclusive. Do you think the citizens of those host countries don’t see it?

Also, that belief that they are the sharpest in the game. You go to people’s countries to sell drugs and prostitute. Not that we are the only one in the game, but like I said, the loudest! We are one way traffic!

Nigerians are not dynamic! Open a loophole to them and they will jam it till it exhausted, AND same time be publicizing the act on air and telling anyone who cares to know!

You selling drugs and still living lavish? Is that not a fool? The likes of Hushpuppi. They just too loud.

Put a Nigerian in a grave yard and you will know the dead can speak.

They just have a special way of irritating their host.

….and the ones at home tarnishing the image of the country through fraud and blackmail, that’s another crime demonizing our identity!
Foreign AffairsWho Cursed Nigerians In African Countries by banku(op): 3:13am On Apr 27
If Nigerians do not know where we are going, we should remember where we came from.

Almost on a daily basis Nigerians are abused in one African country or another.

We overstayed and abused our welcome.

Are Nigerians the same people invited and welcomed in these countries
PoliticsRe: How AGF Cleared Saraki On Offa Robbery (see DPP Report) by banku: 2:40pm On Apr 19
Most of you are selfishly shortsighted once you decide on who to support.

If you hire thugs and supply them with weapons, do you take back the weapons after the election or do they listen to you after elections?

This is what Nigerians are accusing dead Buhari of. He hired bandits and terrorists outside Nigeria to create mayhem in case Jonathan won. Buhari won and lost control of his thugs terrorizing his state, the North and South today.

Saraki thugs robbed bank with weapons he supplied them. His family also robbed Heritage and Society General banks.

Omisore thugs killed Bola Ige.

Yet each of these have supporters defending them with their stomach infrastructure brains.

One have to wonder if Nigeria can ever recovered.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Doom Until Rawlings Success Cures Ezeogwu Betrayal by banku: 11:12am On Apr 04
The retired Generals are able to hold power in Nigeria because they have successfully distracted the attention of the polity to Tinubu, Atiku and Obi that must promise their invisibility and privilege.

If the President of Nigeria said if he tries to hold them responsible they would kill him, who the hell is Atiku or Obi but distractions.

Ezeogwu will always be remembered for trying but eventually set up to die at the war front after he was betrayed.

Jerry Rawlings will always be remembered not only in eliminating the retired Generals but for coming back as civilian President.
Obasanjo did that in Nigeria but not as junior officer.

Ibrahim Taore and Sankura before him remain the only Junior Officers that succeeded after Rawlings.

Nigerians are too blinded by ethnic political power to allow the elimination of the former Generals in charge.
CrimeRe: Alex Barbir Narrates Gruesome Killings In Jos by banku: 2:45pm On Apr 02
Many of you are so obsessed with the little devil Tinubu who confessed more than once that he knows the former Generals Oshiomole bravely I must say, talked about. But if he goes after them, they would kill him. This is the President!

This American mercenary is now telling you to forget the beginning of another World War in the Middle East where their conquest is obvious and focus on Nigeria. Of course we are suffering in Nigeria, Muslim or Christian. It easy to exploit our suffering and turn our attention away from the root cause of problems in Africa.

If you want to scare villagers away, start a fire. They will run away and you can cart their resources. Not only in the Middle East but in Sudan, Congo, Nigeria etc.

You call and beg them to invade your country. Which of them Christian Europeans or Arab/Barber Muslims have not and continue to take you as slave?

PoliticsRe: EFCC Bias? “no Yoruba Arrested” — Prof. Yusuf Usman Sparks Reactions by banku: 1:57pm On Mar 31
I cannot believe this "whataboutism" is coming from a professor.

They loved it when OBJ dragged Chief of Police Tafa Balogun, his friend Folabi and other prominent Yoruba including this Tinubu to court.

They love to see Yoruba slaughter one another so that they can label them the so-called sophisticated race.

After calling him the most detribalized Nigerian, they are still kicking him today.

So it is the Yoruba that is untouchable today, not Fulani.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Public Debt Growth: Buhari Vs Tinubu — 2026 by banku: 2:46pm On Mar 27
This is what some say about hate blinding some Nigerians. Someone asked if the debt is being paid in naira or dollars.

This is after someone has converted the naira debt under Buhari and Tinubu showing clearly that the debt is smaller under Tinubu.

But you raised a point about how much was dollar under Buhari and under Tinubu. How did round-tripping under Buhari benefit the average man looking to buy dollars?

Do you realize how Buhari and Emefiele pampered privileged insiders subsidizing the dollar, how much did you make?

Tinubu is lucky they did not kill him for taking their privileges away.

Wispower:
How did a less educated man manage to keep exchange rate lower than over rated educated man? Subsidy was removed and Naira floated without a sound export status,

budaatum:
I agreed until the following.

I spoke to my cousin earlier today and we mentioned the quality of wood we used to cut for his father at the sawmill. His father had a Roll Royce generator, so the quality of his electric was high. Used lots of diesel too, meaning we were not cheap. Now you got me thinking we should go revive that Rolls Royce.

I agree if we intend to museum it, but as a working generator? Mba!

My point is, most of our old neglected factories are not up to modern standards nor cost efficient, and wouldn't even be if we hadn't neglected them which we did because they are inefficient today. Most countries have abandoned their own factories that were built when our old neglected factories were built too, so we shouldn't expect to differ.

We need new factories, more modern factories, and we should get them from wherever in the world we can get them is what I think.

Now petrol is high, perhaps we can let China sell Assembled In Nigeria electric motor cars, with a view to manufacture for West Africa in ten years time. It would include light.

For old factories. I'm thinking the likes of the rotten Ajaokuta Steel, note.

P.s. I agree with everything else.
If you only know how much is sucked out of the country by individuals that award contracts to themselves and then subcontract it out for kickbacks. Enough to build a new country!
