Biodun1929: This business really takes a toll on one's car. Now I understand my friend when he said he stopped cos he was using most of the money he made from uber/bolt to repair his car. They will come for you! Let me guess the line......"he's not using the right tool" I have spent over 200k in a month fixing my car. If it's not engine, it's cranshaft or cranshaft sensor. Just changed tyres this afternoon. Got a trip on bolt to ajah for 16k. Another from Ajah to Anthony village 17500. I don dey happy say the day is going well until tyre kpafuka. 50k don go for tyre and alignment. Don't get it twisted....people are making millions in this same hustle 😊 |

Djdamian: I actually had good HP deals with three partners.
My main concern with HP is the uncertainty around vehicle price over the next few years. For example, my most recent car purchase was the same model of Honda Civic I sold less than two years ago—except I had to buy it at twice the price I sold it for. Granted, this one is tokunbo standard, but the point is that inflation keeps rising, and it often eats into the ROI from HP deals
If i see a good HP deal, I might consider it You can sell one out of 3. What kind of car? |

My first and probably my last rental was barely two weeks and the car was never the same again.
Seems the business is really a dead investment at this point. But you had a good HP deal with omoapena, asides the small ish you guys had, which isn't new to the biz.....so why not put one or two on HP? Car wey dem no drive for long dey develop problems o |

Pearl1910: I beg u in the name of God, don't give ur car out to anybody without collecting deposit. Except it's ur brother/sister or very close friend. If u like collect 20k as weekly rental but u see that deposit, don't do without it. Deposit for what bro? It's not HP na. |

Omoapena: like I said, you self don tey for the hustle, abeg buy car and give me, I will gladly/consistently pay you 6k daily. I know you well when it comes to argument, so I rest my case. You win bro. And yes, I don tey for the hustle but unfortunately I no fit buy car because I get plenty responsibilities and it's been there since I started 9-5 and I'm glad I could be there for them. Like I said before, it's your car. Put any condition you want |

Djdamian: I'm planning to restart the business with a focus on rentals, I currently own three cars, since I work remotely and rarely drive, I don't need at least one of them for now.
However, the 30k weekly remittance is nothing to get excited about, especially since owners are responsible for most of the repairs.
I go just keep my cars jejely That means you haven't done rentals before. Your question came as though you've done rentals before. I did rentals around 2013/14 or so and the condition based on maintenance was shared btw me and the owner and I think I did most. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 9:49pm On Apr 03, 2025 |
Omoapena: is this assumption or you personally know an owner that takes 25k weekly? I know 2 that do 30k. I just showed you a screenshot too. I rest my case on this issue. It's your car. Put the conditions you want on it |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 9:47pm On Apr 03, 2025 |
Omoapena: okay, I will take anyone solely from you to deliver 40k weekly while the person takes charge of all maintenance, you will use your car to stand as collateral for the person and if the person damage the car without fixing it, I will take ownership of your car...
Trust my word, I will do this only for you. I don't have anyone interested and even if I do, I don't do guarantors for people. These conditions aren't the prob, it's the theft |

Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 9:15pm On Apr 03, 2025 |
Kaymaxi2222: but the person is taken car of all the maintenance even self Na the driver revamped the car by himself to start with oo see eh cars no too dey now and even expensive than for someone to be collecting 35k weekly This is one of the conditions for rentals, so it isn't new |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 9:07pm On Apr 03, 2025 |
Kaymaxi2222: don't mind all those people oo people using Camry wey get 2.4l engine self dey pay 40k weekly and still dey do all the maintenance on the car. Gone are the days of that 35k weekly 40k is not too bad compared to omoapena's 56k. It is still around 5700 @ 40k |

Omoapena: lol..
this man, you funny gan I swear, 5k daily for a car and you said why 100k deposit, so I should just give out a whole car like that to a total stranger without any commitment? I'm not a clown. I'm only saying what I know.....maybe it has changed now, I do not know. I have driven someone's car before, years back and I didn't pay any commitment fee. 35k is what I see people do weekly. Moreover, you don't just give out your car to a stranger. You need to know the person very well and do verification. What exactly is the essence of the 100k commitment? Theft? Damage? To crown it all, it is your car, so you decide how you want the deal to go! I'm only advising, and if I have a spare car, I would be glad to give it to you for 6k daily, and that's if you will be the one to drive it personally |

Pearl1910: Some people will always have obstacles in their life because of the obstacles they put in other people's life until they repent and apologize publicly. U intentionally stand in people's way to progress and change and think ur own life will progress? Na lie. You and your cohorts; Una go chi chomchin. Except u have always been lying that u are in d business, cos everybody in this business knows that there has always been money in ehailing, even on it's worst days, u are better of than a Senior staff in civil service. But if u are in this business and u lie and deceive people that it is not profitable thereby discouraging others then u will get your reward. This man 😊 U no dey taya o! ksmart027: Check your app if you are owing as the will restrict you to card trip. Turn on your rider app and check if you can see your car icon. If not, your have been blocked from receiving cash trips. Also check the kind of phone your using, avoid budget phones. Requests are generally scarce on bolt, especially on the mainland. You can have everything complete and still not get request for hours |
