Kaymaxi2222: tell am to pay you for your fuel before you open boot. This Lagos eh you gazz get small choko for head oo I didn't open the boot. I just ignored, then I had to wait for another 5 mins before we proceeded. I don't like drama! If I had asked for money for the wasted time and he refuses, na quarrel....more time wasted! If I cancel, I've wasted that time for nothing and indrive will remove their commission, then I'll have to wait for some days to be refunded Like pope said, every hustle get im own wahala! |

This job is just too demeaning! Bn waiting for this small boy for over 20 mins. He came out, asked me to open boot, then put his things and said I should give him another 5/10 mins that he's waiting for somebody. I just tried to tell him that I've been waiting for over 20 mins, Omo this boy said I should open boot, that he wants to cancel. I just weak! |

Omo, see posts! My mentions don reach like 1 billion 😀
Omoapena, I support all you said (including increasing the fare) apart from offline. I have my reasons and it's not even about security.
Pearl, I don't make 40k net. Infact now I don't meet target again, the same day. I carry over till the next day. I use 20k fuel if I buy from NNPC. I use 22k if I buy from others.
Some days I make 45k gross, some days I make 50k gross. Remove fuel, commission, wear/tear, feeding, call credit and data. Do it maths and see if it's reasonable. Infact remove them from 45k. Though I understand that it's the kind of car I use, but then I was making good profit(to me) when fuel was 185 and even when it got to 585. This 900/ltr and the low price on apps isn't encouraging at all.
I'm already thinking of quitting......but to do what now?
It's a sorry situation! |

Pearl1910: Most riders are blind to that o. Some of them will still be telling u, "Aghaa! Bolt said I have discount, how come the money is plenty like this?" Most times I don't respond, but if I feel like talking I tell them to message Bolt. Werey people Are you saying you collect full money and ignore discount |

Omoapena: Do you know there's a way rider can still check price after you accept the request, they just open their app and scroll up the interface, the amount will be there but might be different from what you see on your own end, trust me, that trip you did for 18k plus that you were asked to collect 14kplus, I would prefer to do it for that 14plus on offline, if you do the calculations, bolt will still take small from that 14kplus that you were paid. In this case, when you ask the rider and he/she shows you 14kplus, just politely say he/she has discount and what you see on your end is 18kplus but he/she can add anything to that 14kplus to cover for any traffic you might encounter, they can add 1k and it still pays you... Alright. I get you, but I still can't do offline though. Just trying to know how you cope with bonus. |

Omoapena: This screenshot was from where to where? From addo road side(that road that goes straight after the round about, where addo road goes right) to local airport Ikeja. What I want you to know is that; you're lucky meeting good riders. Some will insist that it showed them so so amount, which isn't what you saw. So what do you do? |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 7:06pm On Sep 24, 2024 |
Omoapena: In cases like this, I tell the rider that he/she have bonus on the trip I don't know if your app is different from mine. When request enters on bolt, it just shows you an amount. It won't show you that this is the real amount and this is the bonus given. As it comes in, it just shows you one particular amount. It is when U end trip that you will see bonus. This trip below showed 18500 when it came in.

Omoapena: As for me o, I'm always setting far destination on bolt then convert to offline and collect same amount they charge online. Bolt hasn't been forthcoming on request for me. I set destination to ajah from Sabo in the morning and I don't get any request. Meanwhile, how do you charge on offline, knowing that bolt can show you 7k and show rider 5800. At the end, they will give bonus and say collect 5800 |

Omoapena: I see those indrive riders as broke people looking for cheap fare. Very broke and cheap, with their entitlement mentality! I blame indrive for all the ridiculous prices. I had to spend more than an hour at landmark events due to cheap prices on indrive. A lot of guys were complaining on the app about drivers picking the cheap prices. Someone even suggested that drivers form a WhatsApp group, and bla bla bla. |

Glithronix: Na because some of those riders sabi tap price. Normal-normal, 1hr trip no suppuse dey less than 11k. Fuel is now almost 1k everywhere. If anyone picks trip of 1hr for 8k, then he's not making the deserved profit on that (excluding Suzuki miscreants). 8k should be perfect for rides 45mins and less. This indrive has not done the needful yet. They are still tossing us around.
Much respect, boss. You're right but since this recent fuel increament, I've not seen an hour on indrive for 11k. It's usually one hour, twenty something minutes, and you can't even try to bid above it cos the riders won't pick. Riders on indrive are too cheap. They don't mind to wait for 30 mins or more. Indrive isn't even helping matters. They make them reduce the price so badly. I tried ordering from Sabo to Abijo GRA and I saw 14200, but I was able to reduce to 12k or so and it was about 1hr 30 mins......it could be more with more traffic! I'm just being truthful with what's happening now. Though I still had fuel to meet my target today but I didn't meet it cos I couldn't pick the prices and drivers were picking it anyhow. Infact before you say jack, they've picked it. I waited for long, then I had to pick one going to ogba side, from VI for 11k......1 hr, 22 mins. I'm sure he picked me cos I was 4 mins away. If I had increased it even a bit, he would have picked someone who is 12 mins away and who picked his bidded price. I even spent far more than the time to get to destination. |

Omoapena: I need someone to explain something to me regarding this people that do park at that alternative road in chevron.
So, I just parked somewhere around there, chilling inside my car and hoping I will get a trip to mainland from there, suddenly, a guy just came to my window and was asking me who am I?, I looked at the guy from head to toe, observing if he's a security guy, I didn't see anything to identify him as security, then I looked at the way he dress then concluded in my mind he isn't living in the building where I managed to park. Then, I told him I don't understand, why is he asking me who am I, he then asked again what am I doing here?, I replied, I parked, I then asked him if he's a security guy there, he said he is and he's not, I asked what does he mean by he is and he's not, he said ordinary people are not allowed to park there, I knew he's a driver and wants to park from his appearance then he said all the people I see that are parked around that place aren't ordinary, then I asked, aren't they drivers?, he said they are drivers then I told him I'm a driver also, he then proceeded to ask me who I know there?, I just told him I know people, he asked me to mention name, I said for security reason, I don't disclose my source names. I just wind up my car while i concentrate on my phone, after that, this guy made a call and I heard him telling the person on the phone that someone parked an he's telling the person to leave but he won't leave and he was going to deflate my tires, I just kept quiet until he started approaching my car with about 5 other guys, they came to me and were like who am I, I said I'm a driver like them and they said they don't allow strangers to park there, am like, I don't understand, aren't you guys drivers as well and this place doesn't belong to any of you, one of them just started commanding, telling me to leave there now. I asked him, what if I refused to go, will they beat me, he said if I don't go, anything I see, I should bare it.
I was stunned with their approach coz to me, it seems like they have formed one occultic group, and they are feeling so entitled to that place at the alternative route, someone should explain, what's happening around there, cox this is very strange to me to see that a certain group of drivers have personalized an area. They are drivers like me and you. They just formed clique, so other drivers wouldn't park there. They tried it on me once and I unleashed the area boy in me. They eventually succumbed |
