Good morning. Same as OP.2008 cx 7, 2.3l disi turbocharged. Thanks edward1984: |
You have a bad turbo. Change turbo. My advise, order from the states it will cost just $500. Getting in lagos will cost 150k. Cheers cuteguy1: |
I'm interested too. I had to park my cx 7 since February in search of this engine. Please anyone with a good info should help out . Thanks |
CityNG: When you run your AC and then stop, is there a pool of water under the car or does your passenger front mat gets wet?I'm having same issue and my passenger carpet is always wet. What might cause this? |
Thanks. Will see Dozie tomorrow and post the outcome here. I have noted all your inputs and will make sure I check all of them. 19naia: A ok..Good, no distributor cap.. So you have the elctronic module.. That must be the what you are calling ECU.. that communicates with the master computer which coordinates/regulates everything from fuel, air, and electric signal to the spark plugs.. Focus on the ECU as possible problem.. If it is faulty it can confuse the computer which then will confuse other engine control systems which can affect fuel control, air control.. When this happens, it can give mixed signals and mixed reading to and from the computer.. Even the diagnostic codes will put out readings that show problems that are only a side effect of the original problem... An ECU problem can be enough to confuse the cars engine from air to spark to fuel... |
Issyman: 07034525163- call ds rewirer. Name is muta. Workshop in gwarinpa close to polo club ground. Am certainly sure he will help solve your probelmthanks boss. |
roosebolton: This is so sad.. I spoke to him and made him understand I think this is purely and electrical issue related to bad wiring. My advise is never give your car to any mechanic to take for repairs. Always make sure you are with them during the repairs and keep track of all changes to the car. I know another guy who is very experienced with Tracking electrical issues, he is educated and quite enlightened about cars and eletrical workings and has all the tools needed. Here is his number 07033060775. You can have him look at the issue, also give him the car manual so that he can trace all the relays and to see if there is anything amiss. He has a code scanner and can do a live monitoring of your car (with the scanner plugged in) while you drive the car around this would allow him to see readings of all your sensors in real time and help in tracking down the problem.thanks roosebolton. really appreciate. Will call him on Saturday and have him check the car because that's the only day I will be free. Unfortunately I don't tweet. Please send me your number via my email: eddy_barth@hotmail.com Sultan, I did check for the distributor cab. Don't think this car has it. All the plug wires connects down to the ECU. Thanks guys for all your help. |
roosebolton: There might be a problem with your MAF (it could be dirty or a case of improper connection.. or could just be faulty) it might also be a case of leakage due to improper installation of airfilter. Its best to start with the easier trouble shoot then work your way up.I think it's bad wiring. He said the vacuum wasn't getting current so he had to cut a wire and rejoin somewhere on the body of the vacuum. Now when I try to do sudden overtaking , the car behave as if it's choking. It cut power on the rpm, doesn't allow it pass 4000. These codes weren't there before. So I guess it's an error from him. Have been waiting for him to come and carry the car, he is posting me, sounds like he is out of ideas. rough idling still persist. Fuel consumption horrible. I have printed the Mazda cx7 workshop manual that I want to give him. Don't know if he will use it to trace the issue. If not will have to look for another mechanic. 25k gone already. More problems. |
please i need urgent input here. Thanks barthosa: Hi Roosebolton |
Hi Roosebolton I met with kazeem yesterday. He did some stuffs on the car. Changed the plugs. Change one coil and reprogramed the ECU. But the idle is still rough and it's coming up with more codes. previously had p0300 , p0480 and p0481. Those are gone. what we have today is p0104. P0443. P2006 and p0245. These codes weren't there before, I don't know why they should ccome up now and how best do deal with them. Because the guy is saying I should change the turbo, but the code doesn't say otherwise. Please advise on what to do. thanks |
kenmaro: Noted. Will look for the exact plug type. Thanks. |
Thanks Roosevelton. Noted. |
Yes sultan. I have changed the two relays but same issue. The fan was only coming on when AC is in use. I didn't want any other engine problem due to over heating so I opted for the direct wiring pending when I get a good rewire to slove the problem. guys please give me a contact in abuja. Need to work on this issue before month end. Thanks |
Thanks guys, really appreciate the input. I haven't changed the module before so will probably have that checked too. Unfortunately, I can't snap the engine bay showing the wires because an intercooler is sitting on top the engine and is very hot. I use original iridium plugs. All I really need now is a good referral to a mechanic here in abuja that will trace all this issues and get I done. Even the fuel pressure test. Don't know where to do it. By the way, the car has another high pressure pump mounted on the engine to engine adequate supply. I tried remove the electrical socket on the body to check if it's working, and I confirmed working as the rrough idling increased and ticking sounds from the engine stopped. Please guys I need a good mechanic in abuja. Mr ikenna . I know you deal on Peugeot, if u can help me out, please do. Thanks everyone. |
Guys I just got it scanned. Came up with same codes. P0300. P0480 and P0481. My question now is why does it misfire after scanning and clearing of codes, because on my way back from the scan, the engine light flashes with lose of engine power. Had to park until it stopped. Drove home now without flashing. Meaning it has stored the misfire code again. Please I need urgent help. The engine power is still superb when not misfiring. I can get 180km/hr in 30 seconds. |
Thanks for the reply. Valve replacement was done after scan showed p0302 with weak compression on that cylinder. After which compression went back to normal and the new code was p0300. Having checked online that most users of this car have done valves replacement as a routine, I didn't bother much on doing same. will scan the car again this morning and post codes here. The last scan showed p0300. P0480 and P0481. As at then the engine check light was flashing. It's no more flashing now but still getting the jerking but no misfire recorded. my thinking was towards fuel distribution problem rather than vacuum leaks as different mechanics have checked it out. thanks |
Hi I have a mazda cx 7, 4 cylinders. 2007 car, and I have Been having rough idling and high fuel consumption. The car jerks while in motion, until I press the gas pedal hard before it clears. I have done everything possible to correct this anomaly, but to no avail. I have changed all 4 plugs, changed valves, washed fuel pump, serviced nossles, but still getting random misfire code. The engine check lights blinks each time I have a misfire, but it's no more blinking, light is still on. Rough idling persists, and fuel consumption is terrible, I can always see the fuel needle move while driving a suppose 4 cylinder. Please I need help on this issues If need be., refer me to a good mechanic here in abuja. thanks regards Barthosa |
Dear VO. I have a question and it's like this. I happened to study outside the country for 5 years, had a girlfriend and she got pregnant, delivered the child in US since 2010. We are not married and I haven't seen the child since birth. The child bears my name. What chances do I have to get a visa to see the child. Thanks. |
This is what i have to say base on your questions, for question 1.Once staph infection is properly treated, its gone, no effects there after be it short or long term, staph infections are pretty common. 2.you mentioned the patient is 42 yrs old, all his bones are ossified and as such no bone growth medically possible, that's why bone graft is opted for. 3.No effect on the wife, so far he finishes his IV antibiotics and orals, if sent home wit it. 4.BONE graft is a very good option, reducing fibula bone is ideal for proper healing of the graft, and if he doesn't want graft, he wont be able to bear weight on his own even when the wound is healed. So graft is a good option. MRSA is curable but difficult because first line antibiotics doesn't help. Cheers |
