The plans only come in 2 hours and 5 hours.
For 2 hours plan, dial *481*2# For 5 hours plan, dial *481*3#
You can subscribe any time of the day but it only activates by 12am.
And don't argue me please. I use both of them regularly. Can I use it on my pc and is it still working |

Godsgal: Hmmn. Difficult question buh i'll try. More reasons y u shouldn't be alone with him/her in an enclosed place (dats if u knw both of u are too weak 2 resist). Ur discussions should not be centered on sexualy provocative topics dat'll instigate the feeling. Finally, u & only u can resist the urge cos only u knws why u want to wait. Hence, u should always be reminded of ur convictions each time the urge arises. Thanks I agree with her, mencade5 everything we see these days movies and even humans outside our homes shout sex. We must becareful and avoid those point she hinted. Its very hard but its possible. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Losing My Religion by Bartork(m): 6:26pm On Mar 30, 2016 |
MrMister: I’ve struggled for years but I think I’m slowly coming to the conclusion that I don’t believe in God. There are fears that come with admitting this for me. Fears that somehow, I’ll fall out of favour with God, if indeed there’s something to believe in. The he or it is just there, mad and annoyed and will throw a hissy fit if I suddenly say that I don’t believe in him. I’m really not doing myself any favours if there is one right?
It gets painful because I want to believe in something. It hovers between feeling like a want or a need or a feeling that there should be something for me to believe in. It’s just that none of the Gods I’ve encountered feel like ones that should be worshipped as or believed to be “God.” There’s no air or feeling of finality, there’s no “aha” or deep recognition that this person I’m being told is God, is in fact God.
If you have eyes to see and you look in the general direction of the sun, not knowing what it is, and someone tells you, correctly albeit rather simplistically, that this is the sun and it is where most of our light and heat comes from, is there any reason to doubt? You can see the light shining onto everything that it touches and you can feel the heat on your skin. There’s no need or reason to doubt existence of the sun because it’s right there. There’s no doubt in your mind, body or soul.
In the world of religion what I have instead are many suns, many stars actually, as our sun itself is but one of many. Imagine a clear night where you can see several stars, it’s beautiful and magnificent. However, you have someone point to the brightest, shiniest star and say, that is the only real star, all other stars are false. Worse yet, there are other people around you pointing to different stars proclaiming each one they’re pointing to to be the only real star in the night sky.
That’s how all the Gods seem to me; stars in the night sky. Sango, Thor, Vishnu, Jehovah, Allah, Set, Ishtar. All stars in the night sky. So to me, it seems that there is no God but very many personalities for some reason.
These are just inconclusive thoughts I wanted to share. Keeping this stuff to myself is isolating and honestly, rather depressing, especially after seeing how religion or lack thereof seems to be working for almost everyone but you. Please read between the lines. I want to assume you have an outstanding personality and a great destiny that's been challeneged else whatever you choose God or sango things will work fine. But if its not the case then you must break away with focus and faith. If God isn't real am sure the devil is real and we all know evil is something some of us were born into. Our foundation has a lot to do with how things go with us. We must stand up and choose how we want our lives to be. God is so real to me even in the midst of my challenges. His words are so real to me even when all I see is failure and disappointment. I just repeat his words in my mind laugh and face the next project. I see the tomorrow I want not the one it seems I'd have and I have stayed focuesed and faithful. Please hold on, phones cars and others things that seems to be trendy all fizzle out sonner or later. You'd have the best of it when you've totally gotten them off your back. |

Janeyinspires: Have you ever felt a certain moment or time in your life, when you feel so burdened, when you feel the tide is rising and you can't go on,when you just don't know what to table to God in prayer?
I do experience them;We all do! And in such times....... MUSIC does the magic for me.
Yes!Music has a strong effect on our soul-a spiritual effect on our human psyche. And when i talk about music,i mean great music that draws one closer to God: pleasing to the ear and also devoid of negative influence.
Whenever i'm stuck;when my thoughts are going hay-wire,i simply listen to inspirational(gospel) songs,in which i feel a release in my spirit. It gives me a kinda soothing and exhilirating effect. The lyrics that expresses how i feel at that time, helps strengthen my faith and hope in God's faithfulness and better days ahead.
It's about processing the music to understand the message been conveyed completely. Music is a gift from God to mankind.
Have you had an experience of the effect of music in your life? Please Do Share here also.:-) I seem to have followed up on all your threads. Never mind curious minds converge on same ideas. Music is a catalyst. They way God lives in it we gods here too can make the most of it if our minds are not overtaken with the types that lack the oil. It works for me.a lot I am addicted to some artists, they have done it again and agaian even when all my tact seems to be used up. Most people don't agree that what we see and listen to go a long way to determine how well placed our spirits would be. You've spoken well |

The land is a breeding place for 'mouth virus' as displayed thru words.Sarcasm is at it's peak here....It's really a battle field where peeps try to outdo eachother. One would even think that, their's a monetary reward attached to the lashing out...Jeez!
I'm not gonna take it personal here.In as much as we are entitled to express our opinion here,it is also an avenue to see thru people's mind, sense of reasoning n what they represent.
I'm putting on a costume here that says,'tread carefully'.
Tnx for d quip! You are welcome Most times I just see comments and I have to refrain myself from commenting too so I don't become a bird that shares same feather with the person in question. I also noticed that most people don't actually know what freedom or/and maturity means. How was your day |

Don't know how to get to the other spies whose names where not given. Please,if you see them, tell them to start sending in their reports(I am about to pitch my tent) ;-) :-D Am certain patience and time will show them to you. Nairaland is worse than what you saw in war room. Words don't mean anything here and people talk like we all must air our minds and tots. I disagree with saying what is in your mind or the first thing that comes to your lips. Although I know the virtual status makes it easy for them to do as they like but if "here" is exactly how the world is then ............ But you'd sure find some of the peeps you've set out to find |

Education › Re: Peer Pressure:My Own Taste And Opting Out. by Bartork(m): 9:40am On Mar 29, 2016 |
Janeyinspires: I WANT TO OPT OUT.....
Peer Pressure can show itself in these ways: Dressing in a certain way, getting involved in a particular activity, decisions about who we date, choice about who we become friends with, etc. And when you find yourself being influenced negatively, this is HOW to navigate out:-
1.Intervention-DIVINE: Nothing can stop a man who's time of salvation has come.In my own case,God engineered my opting out the day i steped into the fellowship. You need God-seek Him.
2.Understand Your Values And Beliefs: One of the reasons people yield to peer influence is the idea of trying to fit in or be accepted.Life is not about fitting in.Life is all about values and beliefs.Values guide our every decision while all human behaviour are belief-driven.Whatever you decide to act on or not to act on,should be based on your values and belief, not on what everyone is doing. What is most important to you? What do you value most?(I value my relationship with God,my purpose n future)
3.Self Confidence-Have It: People with low confidence or none at all, tend to seek approval from peers by giving in to risky challenges or suggestion. When you are not sure of yourself, your abilities;you tend to do what people ask you to do,or do what you see them doing....Believe in yourself.Boost your confidence,Don't be afraid to stand alone.Have a healthy dose of self confidence.(I always tell myself this,'I am God's Best) it sure helps.
4.Value Common Interest:I will always say this anytime, anyday;Friendship is not an obligation, neither is it a constant thing in life. You don't go about looking for friends, you only recognise them by interest.Look around, there are people who do what you like to do,go where you like to go.When you become friends with them, you'l no longer be pushed or pressurized, since you are in your area of interest.
5.Learn To Say No.......And Don't Make Excuses: Learn to feel comfortable saying no.Do you need to offer an apology or explaination for saying no? No! Seriously, don't turn to madam or oga excuse just to remain in their good books, clique or whatever.Say exactly how you feel about what they want you to do.Instead of coming up with an excuse of why you won't go clubbing with your clique(i have exams tomorrow or i'm working early),simply tell them, that it's against what you stand for-It doesn't align with my faith, simple!
As long as Peer Pressure is concerned,it's not about what your clique will think or how they will feel, but it's about it will affect or affects you as an individual. How beneficial is the association to you? Is it detrimental to your well being? Always be out for your well-being.You should come first, not cliques. It's your life, not theirs. In most cases everyone gives in to peer pressure at first. We must be brought up in ways that would ensure we don't stay stuck. Some never did the bad things we did in ss1-ss3 but then 2,3 years after school when we had grown up and dropped smoking and visiting clubs they were into it big time. Some of us had std's in ss2 going to town @ night to enjoy the dangers of booze and sexx others stayed back and picked it up when we had dropped it. Most of us no longer smoke or do club girls but some have failed to let it go. Its cool you came out. Ensure you stay out |

avicky: Not that it is better but it depends on your choice. A 3 bedded room is 8,500 while single room which is mostly given to phd students is 12,500. So the choice is yours. But if you want pg hostel, you must pay your fees before they open portal for allocation. Thanks You are very wonderful and helpful. So the 8500 is for a year bah What if I wanted a room off campus. What's the cost. Thanks a lot |
Education › Re: Oau Postgraduate Harmattan Semester Form Sale Is Out by Bartork(m): 3:01pm On Mar 27, 2016 |
avicky: Whatever he said may be true only on the condition that you don't want an accommodation. If you don't pay within the stipulated time, you won't have access to apply for the hostel. So you can keep your money for as long as you want.
And yes to your last question. Sorry I had to cut you guys in. Please is the pg hall better than getting a room off campus. I didn't get my first degree from OAU so I don't know much about housing. Also what's the cost of the pg hall. I don't have my admission letter yet but I have been recommended by my department. I just want to know how to proceed about acommodation and how much to save up. You should go to the pg school I had to do so too. They asked me to go to my department and few days later I was recommmended. I haven't seen my admission letter too but I'd give them till next week. From the posts I have seen and with what I know about masters even when we have started paying fees and all some peeople will still be admitted. All that's needed is a good grade, good ref letters and submition of officail transcript. So if alls already there I guess you should check the pg school. |
