Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Islam: I Need Frank And Objective Responses From True Muslims. by Bash419: 11:59pm On Aug 29, 2016
Papist:
I'm surprised you try to exonerate Islam on killing apostates while trying to say it is actually Christianity to blame. While Muslims murder apostates all the time, I a Catholic don't remember ever being taught during Catechism that leaving Christianity is punishable by other humans. Maybe it's actually because Christianity doesn't mandate death for apostacy? Remember unlike Islam, Christianity is not a religion of the book despite you guys calling us ahl al kitab. Christianity is based on a person, Jesus Christ, not a mere book. Let me tell you about something important in Christianity....lex orandi lex credendi...the rule of prayer is the rule of faith....you practice what you believe
Deuteronomy 13:6-9 "If your very own brother, or your son
or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you,
saying: Let us go and worship other gods (gods that neither
you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether
near or far, from one end of the land to the other, or gods of other
religions), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity .
Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him
to death . Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then
the hands of all the people."

Deuteronomy 17:3-5 "And he should go and worship
other gods and bow down to them or to the sun or the moon or all the
army of the heavens, ..... and you must stone such one with
stones and such one must die. "

2 Chronicles 15:13 "All who would not seek the LORD, the
God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great,
man or woman."

Leviticus 20:27 "And as
for a man or woman in whom there proves to be a mediumistic spirit or
spirit of prediction, they should be put to death without fail. They
should pelt them to death with stones .

Jesus in Matthew 15:1-9 , above, praised the Old
Testament's Laws of punishment, and he even rebuked those who didn't follow it.

your pastor hasn't been telling you everything

Pierocash:
you.
New Living Translation
This is my commandment:
Love each other in thesame e
way I have loved you-john 15 v 12,john 13 v 34
christianity is one commandment-LOVE.
it no longer d prerogative of any body to judge or condemn any1 to death.
wow, he quoted some verses from the Bible about love (2verses).....I'll quote 10 from the Quran.....

1. It is not righteousness that you turn your faces to the East
or the West, but truly righteous is he who believes in Allah and
the Last Day and the angels and the Book and the Prophets,
and spends his money for love of Him, on the kindred and the
orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and those who ask for
charity, and for ransoming the captives; and who observes
Prayer and pays the Zakat; and those who fulfill their promise
when they have made one, and the patient in poverty and
afflictions and the steadfast in time of war; it is these who
have proved truthful and it is these who are the God-fearing.
(Al Quran 2:178

2. Indeed, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to
others; and giving like kindred; and forbids indecency, and
manifest evil, and wrongful transgression. He admonished you
that you may take heed. (Al Quran 16:91)

3. And as for those who strive in Our path — We will
surely guide them in Our ways. And Indeed, Allah is with those
who are of service to others. (Al Quran 29:70)

4. Indeed, Allah is with those who are righteous and those
who do good. (Al Quran 16:129)

6. O ye people! fear your Lord, Who created you from a
single soul and created therefrom its mate, and from them twain
spread many men and women; and fear Allah, in Whose name
you appeal to one another, and be mindful of your duty to
Allah, particularly respecting ties of relationship.
Verily, Allah watches over you. (Al Quran 4:2)

121-122. And good and evil are not alike. Repel evil with that
which is best. And lo, he between whom and thyself was
enmity will become as though he were a warm friend. But
none is granted it save those who are steadfast; and none is
granted it save those who possess a large share of good. (Al
Quran 41:35-36)

uwagimboo:
Akpa amu, u haf try..
Tell me which christian country is as violence as the ur brothers in the world..

Tell me which christian brother ve killed a moslem cleric for preachinghuh
1) Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City
bombing, April 19, 1995. Neocons and Republicans grow angry
and uncomfortable whenever Timothy McVeigh is cited as an example of a non-
Islamic terrorist. Pointing out that a non-Muslim white male carried out an
attack as vicious and deadly as the Oklahoma City bombing doesn’t fit into
their narrative that only Muslims and people of color are capable of carrying
out terrorist attacks. Neocons will claim that bringing up McVeigh’s name
during a discussion of terrorism is a “red herring” that distracts us from
fighting radical Islamists, but that downplays the cruel, destructive nature of
the attack.
Prior to the al-Qaeda attacks of 9/11, the Oklahoma City bombing McVeigh
orchestrated was the most deadly terrorist attack in U.S.

2) Suicide attack on IRS building in Austin, Texas,
Feb. 18, 2010. When Joseph Stack flew a plane into the Echelon office
complex (where an IRS office was located), Fox News’ coverage of the
incident was calm and matter-of-fact. Republican Rep. Steve King of Iowa
seemed to find the attack amusing and joked that it could have been avoided if
the federal government had followed his advice and abolished the IRS.
Nonetheless, there were two fatalities: Stack and IRS employee Vernon Hunter.
Stack left behind a rambling suicide note outlining his reasons for the attack,
which included a disdain for the IRS as well as total disgust with health
insurance companies and bank bailouts. Some of the most insightful coverage
of the incident came from Noam Chomsky, who said that while Stack had
some legitimate grievances—millions of Americans shared his outrage over bank
bailouts and the practices of health insurance companies—the way he expressed
them was absolutely wrong.

3) The Centennial Olympic Park bombing, July 27,
1996. Paul Jennings Hill is hardly the only Christian terrorist who has
been praised by the Army of God; that organization has also praised Eric
Rudolph, who is serving life without parole for a long list of terrorist attacks
committed in the name of Christianity. Rudolph is best known for carrying out
the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta during the 1996 Summer Olympics—a
blast that killed spectator Alice Hawthorne and wounded 111 others. Hawthorne
wasn’t the only person Rudolph murdered: his bombing of an abortion clinic in
Birmingham, Alabama in 1998 caused the death of Robert Sanderson (a
Birmingham police officer and part-time security guard) and caused nurse
Emily Lyons to lose an eye.

kilo4sure:
It is apparent you are ignorant, you opened this thread because Christians accuse Muslims of violence, hence to show that Islam is not uniquely violent you quote Deuteronomy which addressed a theocratic Jewish era, and in your little perspective, this is enough to show that Christianity is also violent. Hence it is of little wonder the Christians who have responded so far do not take you seriously because it would surely be a waste of time.
keep reading and don't make blind comments

does Christianity have 0 tolerance for murder as Christian say? NO lemme prove it Deuteronomy 17:12 ► New International Version Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the LORD your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel.
Exodus 22:18 ► New International Version "Do not allow a sorceress to live.
◄Exodus 21:15 ∆ New International Version "Anyone who attacks their father or mother is to be put to death.
Deuteronomy 22:20 ► New International Version (NIV) If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
Leviticus 20:13 ► New International Version "'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

if you've got another god rather than God then served him all what you've said about Jesus is true and we Muslims believe in him 150%... do you follow his teachings? for if you do you'll remember in the book of John 16;7 it says Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I
depart, I will send him unto you. ...please tell me who that comforter is......Issac Newton? Abraham Lincoln? Alexander Fleming or who?
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Islam: I Need Frank And Objective Responses From True Muslims. by Bash419: 8:10am On Aug 27, 2016
salamualaikum, may peace be upon all of you... answers to all the questions.
1) 2;178...16;129....3;135 etc

2) yes, and this is to make sure that Muslims don't regard him as a god the way Christians now refer to Jesus as god. it says Muhammed is nothing but a messenger of Allah.

3) The Quran does say so but that was applicable during the time of war when IG they reverted they carry military intelligence to the other party. after the war verses like Quran [2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion; the
right way has become distinct from the wrong way.
Quran [109:6] “You have your religion and I have mine”
Quran [10:99] Had your Lord willed, everyone on earth
would have believed. Will you compel people to become
believers?
Quran [18:29] And say, “The truth is from your Lord.
Whoever wills-let him believe.
Quran [88:21] So remind. You are only a reminder.
Quran [88:22] You have no control over them. all this verses teaches us to mind our business.

4) No, it says max of four not minimum of four. Quran 4:3. the verse also says that marrying one will be better.. Islam is the only religion that put a limit others say infinite.

5) Yes, and the Bible support this in Numbers 31; 17-18. save for yourself every GIRL who has never slept with a man. and it's an historical fact that people marry early those days e.g st Augustine 350 AD married a 9 year old and Catholic encyclopedia says Mary married Joseph at age 9

6) Yes, for he was but a servant and judgement we all know is for God alone.

7) In 1978, Jewish American astrophysicist Michael H. Hart (born
April 28, 1932) released a book titled "The 100: A Ranking of the
Most Influential Persons in History". This book, which has sold over
500,000 copies to date, has been somewhat controversial, not least
due to its placing of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, over
Jesus Christ , the founder of Christianity.. And he was a prophet and prophet we know were the greatest people on earth.

cool it's prohibited as a test. you like something and it's bad for you on earth because you're mortal but when in heaven you're immortal it can't harm you.

9) It was named in the Hadith's which is an authentic collection of saying ad acts of the prophet.

10) The Quran states the rules while the hadith's shows its implantation I.e how the prophet implemented the rules.

11) to reserve the meaning in context as we all know that translation leaves room for errors. but Muslims make dua in any language.

12)yes, the Qur'an confirms them but we all know it has been corrupted I.e revised... you are revising God's word #why.

13) the moon is just an architectural signature.my mosque doesn't have one.

14) we should not reply according to the hadith's of the prophet and the Quran says The servants of the most merciful are those who walk upon the
earth easily , and when the ignorant address them they say
[words of] peace
Quran 25:63

hope that answers your questions masalam
