lassky: wats d worth of d scholarship? Did u also support it with soa?I supported it with an SOA of a sibling which is just a lil above 1m. NB:the worth is sufficient to cater for both tuition n living expenses. I only used d SOA to strengthen my app. |
codebreaker: Did they pay your tuition already or is it after your visa what were the conditions stated.. check your email..No, they didn't pay it.The worth of the scholarship is clearly stated in the letter. I didn't see ur mail. |
Slimdel: Yes they do dear book an appointment with them firstHuge thanks Slimdel.I have been tryna reach their lines to book appointment but it was to no avail. I am on my way there already, I hope they respond to me sha as my schedule is extremely tight during d week. |
bjoseph: To those that are contemplating on where to do their medicals, if you based in Lagos or near Lagos, I would suggest Asaju Medical Clinics. Reason for this is that, I experienced their speedy rate of sending medical result to embassy this week. I booked an appointment with them on Wednesday July 2 and today I got an update that have passed the medical. An indication that, they can process your medics within 2 days. Please friends that have gotten their TRVs, after passing the medics, what next. Are some required to pay tuition after the medics or it ought to have been asked before the medics? Please do u know if they open on Saturday? |
UzoTheZone: Hi bro. Congrats on your medical call up.Applied 6th June via Online route. Yesterday made it exactly 4weeks after submission. |
codebreaker: scholarship letter from the oil comp that is gonna employ me on my return.. Do you guys think I need only the scholarship letter and offer of employment on return..What other docs do I need apart from those two ..Dude, you do not have problem. My success story is in d making already as I got called for medicals yesterday.I was granted full scholarship by the university I am going to for my graduate program. Your scholarship letter would do a very good work for u. In my own case, I submitted my brother's SOA, letter of intro from his place of work, his 4months pay slip and affidavit sworn for my sponsorship.I added all this so as to give a proof of connection to my homeland. Aside this, my sop summarized all I have worked on, what problems I wanna come back home to solve.... In my own opinion, I think u are good to go. You may just add your parent's docs to strenghten it more and also assure them you gat backup finance source should anything happen.Which of d schools are you heading to ? |
bashorunbazok: Hello everyone, |
Hello everyone, I just got notification from CIC instructing me to proceed for medical test. Please where is the best place to have my medicals? And please do they open for weekend? Thanks |
Sure this comes as a great news to you islamophobes. What the clown that made the rule doesn't understand however is that you can't obstruct them as their mind is made up already to fast for their Lord. Fasting is more from the inside. They can only increase their reward from Allah if they make the condition unbearable for them. Na today e start to dey happen? And to you happy ones here on nairaland, I guess you would need to assist the clown in implementing such a laughable rule. Will they tie them down and feed them by force or probably inject food into their minds? Many don't even think deep, they are always quick to cast aspersion when they read anything against Islam. |
How to spend my leisure on reading yuzedo's comments.I follow him everywhere he goes.He is the nairaland man of the year. Oh yea, nairaland was useful for me in getting this new offer from one MNC. |
I applied for Advisory. I was called around 4pm or there about. She told me to come to their Marina Office. I can't be the only one that got the call, may be they are calling based on the section we applied to. I am confident they would get back to everyone. I wish everyone the very best. |
Just got a call from EY to come pick the offer letter on Monday...who is with me? |
For me, it's hard to pick one. There has been series of events I can never forget; both positive and negative. It is this same year I won an all expenses paid trip to attend a conference in Europe for the 3rd time. It is this same year I was disqualified after passing an aptitude test for a scholarship to study in Europe.I traveled down to Port Harcourt from Akure just to write the test It is this same year I was disqualified at the final interview stage (stage 4 of 4) of one of the leading multinational companies in Nigeria. It is this same year I narrowly missed a scholarship to study in the UK...I scored high in the test but someone scored 1 or 2 marks higher. It is this same year my GIRL left me; the only girl I have ever loved truly. It is this same year I got my present job in the Oil industry, and it is this same year I got another offer from a Telecoms giant which I don't think I would consider. *some texts missing* In retrospect, 2013 has been a YEAR that I can never forget! A lot of near misses, a lot of sorrowful moments, and quite a number of awesome moments. Alhamdulillah for everything... |
davide470: They are all downstream.Dude, U are quite on point. I see you everywhere on Nairaland.I am quite impressed with most of your contributions. I see anything you write on Nairaland(cos I follow you)...Nice one! With the way you are going, I am confident you would land yourself a dream job soonest. You know so much about this oyel industry, thats cool. I just entered the industry, the downstream sector. I am in supply&operations section of one of those downstream companies. Quite new anyway, its my 2nd month. I would like to chat u up, if u dont mind. |
This company is quite funny o. I am not surprised anyway, since they have luxury of choice to make from the millions of graduates hustling for jobs. I can remember that the recruitment process started in August when we wrote the test. Why does it take them so long for them to decide? I could remember the Head of HR telling us at the AC that they would get back ASAP. I wonder if their 'soon' isn't ripe enough yet. And now they are calling for another AC. I am not sure they can't try all this crap in a sane world. Its just taking forever.... At least if am expecting response from an 'oyel company', I am sure its worth it. I only hope their pay is worth all this wahala. Congrats to those that got the new AC invite o.All the best to us all |
jumzzy448: Salam,Please where did u read such? How would someone having those attachments covering her hair be able to perform ablution properly? I heard its not permissible. Allahu Alam |
pacmanito: Think I now have a genuine info. D regret mail wasn't 4 d AC pple it was 4 some dat did d interview. Buh any how am not expecting reply of d AC till December 31.Its not compulsory to believe anyway, my teammate at AC case study exercise told me he got rejection email on Friday evening. And bros, why December 31? |
Its a tough question for me.I believe Japanese cars are more fuel efficient and ofcos their spare parts are readily available. However, my ultimate love for Mercedeez, BMW and Audi would make me go with German machines. Talk about German machines, talk about elegance, talk about class. ![]() |
shuddii: Aii sir, anywys am only mkin enquiry for a friend>>since his not on NL.......HE DOESNT NOT BLIVE IN D FORUM TINS, AM THE ONE THAT AV BIN PERSUADING HIM TO FOLLOW UP WIT THE FORUM TINS........DAT Y I DEY ALWAYS DEY OPTIMSTIC ABT THE WHOLE TIN....AND WANTED 'FACT' IN ORDER TO MK HIM SEE WAT NL GOT..................YOU GET!!! SUCCESS TU U ALLYou must really love that your friend o...for u to be one of the most active members on a thread for job u never applied for. |

DMainMan: Salam'alaekum my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters. Can a Muslim work in bank. I know that benefiting from interest is haram. My bro in the deen, my strong advise for you is to let go the offer.I know it is quite tempting, very tempting. However, your creator has something better in stock for u. I am also in d job hunt too.Despite the dearth of job openings, I still maintain my job search criteria.I have never applied to any banking institution, brewery, and even tobacco manufacturing companies. I am confident I would have secured a job in any of those(insha Allah), if I was actually applying to them.I studied engineering, and I made a very good grade from it in one of naija's top schools. My philosophy has always been that " no matter how terrible the economy of the jungle is,Lions will never feed on grass". I am still seriously searching but I have opted for a small halal means that keeps me busy. See, Akhi, the mouth watering offer u are talking about is ephemeral. How would u feel if u bring up ur family with an haram means.Would u be very confident to pray to him who had instructed u to stay away from such? Again , what if you die in the course of your haram banking career(I pray u live long)? How would u explain to ur creator? Do u know the punishment involved in benefiting from usury?...Allah said such person should prepare to fight war with him.Are u ready for that? There were times I had all it takes to pursue a career at Goldman Sachs,It was dis fear that made me back out. Weigh the worldly benefits and compare it with the punishments of the hereafter. Weigh the duration our stay here on earth and that of the hereafter.I think if u ponder on all this, u would be able to decide....this is just my one cent. You can, however, go with other people's opinion of accepting the offer sha,if ur Iman can't withstand it.But what I have written above is purely my own Islamic view about it. Salam Alaykum ya akhi |
pacmanito: Pls does anyone have any info or updates about d AC. Kind of thinking dis our EY self isn't organised as d other Big4No news yet ooooo. D wait is getting too long |
ecolime: Both of you were in group 2. Lol koret! How many dem won pick abeg, any idea? |
ecolime: Seems almost a EY aspirants are nairalanders. I know you and DayborrLolz ...don't be too sure. |
dayborrh: it was a challenging but rewarding experience.i gained a lot frm d exercise.i tink it stil boils down to God's favor.i wish all of us whu attended d exercise bst of luck.i wish they cud jst pick all of us.or does any1 av an idea of d final selection number.Yea, definitely, luck has a great role to play in the whole thing. Imagine the luck involved in selection to be a member of a particular group(for the case study), and now imagine that of the impromptu speech...Some topics were just "harsh"....lolz. Deybor, all the best to our group, and all d best everyone. |
pachuxy: My application status is still showing "Under review".Same here oooo. |
rien05: Please when is ur assessment?30th September... I think I remember seeing u on 6th September during d interview.... u z u studied Geology.I am d guy that wore glasses that did the interview before u.Pls have u being able to extract dia visions from dia site? |
Me too |
Guys, who has an idea of d resumption date abeg. Also, who knows how much dia pay is? |
Someone should bring this thread to life. Its dead...someone should tell me d latest na. Where are d guys with insiders at EY? |
Just got a mail from them, notifying me of change in venue for my interview. Whereas the date for the interview wasn't specified in d mail. The venue was changed to their office in Marina. Anyone in same situation? |
In the end, it will turn to a place where we would be making sajda for almighty Allah. ![]() |

. It is only few multinational companies that can pay it. Should I take it and risk sins upon sins as usury was mentioned quite upon numbers in the Holy Quran. Or is halal due to my circumstance and accept d offer den b a real man, marry and cater for my expenses in dis dunya and d deen. Working in d bank could also affect my Masters as there is two years bondage if I leave or risk paying two million naira. I heard ASSU strike could b on till next year.
koret! How many dem won pick abeg, any idea?
...don't be too sure.
