Politics › No Investor Can Invest His Funds In Abia, Dr. Enyinna, Investment Expert by Basic123(op): 6:52am On Sep 06, 2017
No Investor can invest his funds in Abia, Dr. Enyinna, Investment expert SEPTEMBER 5, 2017

A businessman and Chairman Fundvine securities and investment group ltd, Dr. Michaeal Kasarachi Enyinna has decried the decay in infrastructure and lack of basic and necessary amenities required to make businesses and investments grow in Abia state.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia on Sunday during the Eid Mubarak holidays ,Dr.Enyinna expressed surprise at the state of infrastructure in Abia inspite of all the funds that has been credited to the state from the federation account within the past two years in the life of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu administration.

In his words I was shocked seeing the huge decay in infrastructure which has seriously slowed down businesses and killed investments in the state, he expressed shock that the governor is yet to embark on serious infrastructural repairs in the state and that all he had seen in Abia especially aba is nothing but paying lip service to duty. He decried the governor’s unseriousness to duty and wondered how he expects any investor to invest his funds in a dying and unstable economy as we have it in Abia today.

Dr Enyinna said he was surprised that while states like Ebonyi, Anambra, cross river etc. are advancing in infrastructure and investors are trooping in, what we see in Abia is hunger, decay in infrastructure especially roads, insecurity, kidnapping, robbery etc. he advised the governor to cut short his overseas jamboree, tagged investment hunt, come home and concentrate on developing the enabling environment needed to attract investors, he said, what woos investors is the business environment and not preaching or smooth talking, he added that no serious investor both local and international will invest in Abia because the investment environment is lacking.

The security and investment expert, who hails from Ukwa, said he supported Okezie Ikpeazu PhD, during the elections believing that he will grow the state from where he met it, but unfortunately all that he had seen in every sector is depreciation and decay, he advised the governor to pay salaries and embark on road reconstruction across the state. He went ahead to advise Ikpeazu that if he fails to improve on service delivery which at the moment is lacking, he should also forget coming back by 2019 to ask for votes as no Abian will vote for a man who could not pay salaries or improve the much needed infrastructure.

Ah I know. Only Lagos counts in Yoruba land. I think I've heard some pigs and idiots say something very similar. This is why threads like this and the Ibadan thread must be kept alive so that young Yoruba will know Lagos isn't our only asset. There's brains, brawn and even geographic assets.

I used to think like you some 3 years ago until I saw the rabid hate on us from the powder sellers. Then I discovered how empty their boasts and braggadocio was and I threw all gentility to the winds. We are better than them and will forever be. If this is childish pride, I can't help it grin

If you truly mean what you say about more pressing issues to discuss, start those threads and we'll be there to contribute as much as we can.

If Lagos,Ogun and Ibadan are to be in Igboland or Dangote,Adenuga, okoya, otedola, folorunsho Alakija, bola shagaya are to be Igbo(s) or U.I ,OAU and Unilag are in SE,their noises will haved deafened other tribes!..I really love yorubas,we dont shout.well, empty barrel makes the loudest noise.

@ dollyak oo look bad at all.

For the education aspect, you need to visit other regions during waec and see for yourself, or just ask people that served in the south east and North about their experience during the exams. Am sure you will know that even the missionary schools in South East need to be shut down not to talk of other Hopeless schools.

Education generally is bad in the country but when comparing South West to other regions we still remain the best. Currently, many of our University output have proven this over the years.

As for poverty rate you mentioned, I don't think I need to comment on that because you didn't do your research at all. Bigger economy translate to better standard of living directly or indirectly. Secondly, most industrialized region also translate to lowest unemployment rate.

My dear we have a lot to be happy about just that we are still far from where we are going.
WAEC results is a very bad measure of how educationally advanced a region is.I have a friend from the east that always narrate how they do perform all forms of exam malpractices over there

OkutaNla:
I don't expect you to really grasp the motivation of the Yorubas contributing to this thread. No, I do not. Like I said in my earlier comment, this thread was created to set the records straight. It started as a response to igbo taunts, but by now it's evident that it has taken on a life of its own, so to speak. Does that mean that everything is 'peaches and cream' with the Yoruba nation? Certainly not. But that isn't limited to the Yorubas alone. Every race on earth is a work-in-progress in one form or another, and will experience its ups and down moments, rise and decline, and what have you. And I guess Yorubas are not an exception in that regard. Entirely separate threads can be opened to discuss other relevant matters that may be confronting us as a people. But this particular thread will continue to grow as more Yorubas break new grounds and make their marks in their chosen field of endeavour, and that could include even you, if you identify as one of us.

I believe the ibadan thread was also created to project the city from a more complimentary and Yoruba perspective, as opposed to the many misrepresentations that abound, especially among certain ilk on this same forum. I don't see nothing wrong with that.
The pseudo-yoruba wailing just showed that this thread and that of Ibadan are achieving their aims. Its giving those ewedu picture posters serious headache!

how come Igbo's are winning elections in Lagos , if I'm not mistaken 4 Igbo's are in Lagos state house of Assembly, how come Oba of Lagos is threatening them to vote for ambode , they constitute highest population in Lagos , ambode crawl and prostrate to eze Ndi Igbo for his support, omo go back to ur village in Ogun
, According to a letter written by the late General Adeyinka Adebayo, the industries in Oyo are owned by Lebanese and Indians, but 70 per cent of the industries located in Lagos State are owned by Igbo. So the industries that are manufacturing goods in the South-West and some in the Eastern Region have the whole of Nigeria as their market, a market of about 200 million people. Well, I don't know about that.
Fashola operated in a time of surplus and didn't build as much core infrastructure in 8 years as Ambode who is operating in a time of scarity has built in just 2 years.

Worse still, Fashola's performance at the federal level is as terrible as terror can get!
What is the definition of core infrastructure?

because all what Ambode has been doing are just roads.Fashola achievement cut across all sectors..water plants, jetty, roads, health, education especially LASU etc.

may be your meaning of core infrastructure is "road".
