I think we need to look at the overall idea which is to get absorbed into the bank...I feel the salary expectation stated on Jobberman is based on that. Moreover, I don't think the money to be paid for the training is actually a "salary" in its real sense. It's more like a training allowance. It's just a ten week program, so we really cant tag it a salary.

Its not salary..its seen as peanuts to help you with your transportation and feeding....the salary is close to 180 if not 200......

Its not correct....union pays close to 180....that might be contract staff...the recruitment is for core staff

HCP will normally show your test score immediately after the test if they are handling the whole process.

Why do we always like to twist stories to favour us. I happen to have someone that is a contract staff that was converted to full time employee recently in Stanbic IBTC

So yes the staff in question are contract staff from several outsourcing agencies and the company has a policy of not engaging contract staff for more than 5 years but they have a process for converting to full time staff. It is a computer based test. All contract staff and new hires have to pass this test before being employed as full time staff. Ask anybody that has gone through Stanbic IBTC recruitment process. The contract staff that passed were employed. Those that didnt pass were let go off and the outsourcing companies were asked to bring replacements. It was not a downsizing, the affected staff were replaced.

Also, those staff asked to leave will be paid till January. They were not let off without benefits. Which other company does that?

Please let's stop spreading half baked news. Get your facts right before you jump.

Nawa o...why asked a contract staff that has worked close to 5 years for you to write an exam again like a fresher...if the person is not productive on the job you can lay the person off...if the person is productive you retain the person...so after close to 5 years for them and giving them the best...because I could not pass an exam I will be laid off...and then they go out and search for replacement contract staff.....if those guys sacked where not productive the bank would have sent them back to the outsourcing firm they came from... After 4 years someone will write exam again...for confirmation... Its not fair...its time the contract stuff is scrapped....

I knew of an agency where 46 applicant wrote the test last year in the whole of the federation, last last Abba Kyari daughter daughter got employment with a pay of over N32M annually, the rest are still hoping for merit. Dis same agency is housing same building with Development Bank of Nigeria in Abuja

Thats the fact..I was the first person to come there that day....and I came by 9 AIG exam started by 10.....I don't think we were up to 100 that sat for development exam...and after we started no one came in again...did we occupy all the computers in the hall?...I don't think so... And there was no other batch again that came in

I don't think the people I saw was up to 400.... We were not up to 100 self.. Don't forget those that came before us were not for Development bank exam but for AIG exam that was scheduled from 10-12.....ours was by 2...so I think you're including those that wrote the AIG scholarship exam...we were not up to 100 in Lagos

There is a reason HCP later his the the name of the bank and started using development fiance institution... I think its a low key stuff...they can bring in people but not for this recruitment...except that person took exam

The test I don't know what to say... If it was a ploy for them to confuse to us...but the settings of the test I've not seen that before...it was not numbered.....you can't even know the ones you've done and the ones you've not done..some questions repeated themselves
