Business / Article Video Marketing - A Gold In The Mine. by baskettmouth: 2:58am On Sep 20, 2014
Article video marketing is a new type of internet marketing and advertising in which business create 2-5 minute short videos about specific topics using content from articles and other text sources. The videos are then edited and uploaded to various video sharing websites like Youtube for distribution and exposure.

Converting articles into videos
There are several ways to for turning articles into videos. The most traditional way is by creating a powerpoint presentation of the original article, which is basically transforming the article text into an animated slideshow. Relevant pictures are then added to the slideshow and voice is recorded over each slide to create a voice-over narration for the video. Finally, the presentation is recorded using a screen capture software like Camtasia and the slideshow is now turned into a video that can be uploaded to a video sharing site like YouTube for sharing.

Advantages
Article video marketing is an extension of Article marketing but serves as an alternate medium for businesses to convey their message to a wider audience, and get more exposure. Being an audio-visual medium, articles turned into videos also reduce the time required to read the articles.

Fashion / Be Aware Of The Power Of The Handbag by baskettmouth: 12:40am On Aug 25, 2014
If you have never known the true secret power of your handbag as a woman, then this info will be exceptionally revealing.

You see, the fact that your dress is not complete without your handbag shows that there is indeed some power attached to it. How much super power is attached to it you may ask? Well dear reader you are about
to find out soon. You can find most ladies without other forms of clothing, but hardly without their handbags, especially when going to an important occasion or party.

Some people say that ladies use bags due to the fact that they don't have anywhere else to keep their wallet and other stuff, when you are a guy it's a lot easier to put something in to your jeans pocket. These kinds of people keep saying that if the ladies had pockets they wouldn't carry handbags. But this is not the complete picture at all. Even though you may think a lady needs a handbag to put away items, like cash and additional things, girls use bags as part of their dress.

Their dress will simply not be complete when they don't carry their bags. And this is not just any kind of handbag but the right handbag for the right dressing. From queens, first ladies, senators and business ladies. Most powerful women are never seen without their handbags. Powerful men can be found many times without their purses, but never powerful ladies. This certainly tells us that there is a world of power connected to a woman's handbag. So, you should never be found anywhere without your handbag. And your bag should always complement your dress.

You should know by now that handbags absolutely contain super powers. Don't be surprised that it is one of the reasons why the men can't help staring at you when you are fully dressed and carrying your handbag!

Career / Achieving Success And Progress Through Creative Thinking by baskettmouth: 10:58am On Aug 23, 2014
Many people believe that the goal of any
society is progress, however for most of us it
is not easy to get used to something new. It
takes more or less time for every person to
adapt to new environment, even if it is only
using a new tool, cooking a new dish or
finding a new bus stop. That is the reason why
many people cling to the way things are and it
is much easier for them to do habitual things.
Any person's every day of life consists of
many repeated activities, such as driving car,
dressing, eating. People do most of these
activities automatically, without much
thinking. Automatic operations help brains to
avoid unnecessary efforts, but many people
also use this natural capability of brain in a
wrong way.
They create "cliché" for many activities in
their life, use same expressions, eat same
food, and go to same supermarkets. People
live with same world outlook whole their life.
It is clear that in most cases laziness makes
them live with "cliché" because it is much
easier for people to make habitual things, say
habitual phrases and do the same job
everyday, then straining the brain, creating
something new, and making progress in their
life.
However, there are still many activities, which
demand creativity, ability to orientate us in
new, unusual situations. Life brings us
surprises every day, and sometimes it is
impossible to be prepared for all
circumstances. Economical and political
situation of any country in the world
transforms every month or year and leads to
changes in many life aspects. Today people
need to be creative to get ahead, because it is
impossible to find favorable work or life
conditions, without any changes and
unexpected circumstances.
There are not too many people, which think
and act creatively. Most of those people are
successful businessmen, artists or politicians,
because they can effectively use the natural
capability of brain to think creatively. Creative
and imaginative people do not achieve success
for themselves only; they also contribute to
progress of the society. That is why it is
important to train yourself to be creative and
get rid of many "cliché" opinions in your
mind.
First step to think creatively is to comprehend
which activities are indeed in need of
"cliché" (such every day simple operations as
driving car) and which activities demand
creativity (such as work, business, education,
upbringing of children).
Second, do your daily activities such as work
or family creatively, enrich your knowledge
about your business, and find new ways to
improve it, do not be afraid to give work to
your brain, because in daily life most people
use only 4-5% of their brain ability to think.
Last, but not least is to be aware that if you
are creative and imaginative person you
would not be disarmed by unexpected or
unusual life circumstances and changes
because you can always find a way to adjust
and get ahead in your life.

Sports / Nigeria U-17 Players Fail Age Tests Ahead Of The World Cup by baskettmouth: 11:13am On Aug 20, 2013
Nigeria will be without key players for the Fifa Under-17 World Cup in October after wrist scans showed them to be over the age limit.
The squad, which finished as runners-up at the 2013 African Under-17 Championship in Morocco, underwent MRI scans in Abuja to help determine their ages ahead of the upcoming World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) was used to scan the wrist plate of players to accurately ascertain their true age, with only players between grade 1 and 5 of the scan eligible to participate.

But Manu Garba, coach of the Golden Eaglets, insists he will still be able to choose a strong squad, despite losing several players.
"We are not oblivious of the challenges posed by the MRI since we started this campaign because the players are growing," said Garba.
"But imagine a scenario whereby a player who was on Grade 4 in April has grown to grade 6 in July but what can we do than to call on other players from our reservoir.
"We are working in conjunction with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to esnure that only eligible players will represent the country at the World Cup and we are on the right course.
Nigeria have won the Fifa Under-17 World Cup three times - 1985, 1993 and 2007 - but fans and media alike have long questioned the ages of some of the player representing the country.
Former African footballer of the year and Nigeria under-17 assistant coach Emmanuel Amuneke was quick to dismiss age-cheat allegations and remains optimistic about the prospect of the team despite obvious challenges.
"We know that this journey was going to be full of challenges when we started," Amuneke explained.
"But we have been transparent enough as regards the twin issue of player selection and the MRI test and it is important for the public to be well educated on this matter.
"The truth is that these players have not remained the same since we picked them almost two years ago because they have been training and eating well and their growth is expected, but we shall overcome the setback."
Football's world governing body Fifa introduced MRI scans to check the ages of players at the 2009 Under-17 World Cup, which took place in Nigeria.
African champions Ivory Coast, runners-up Nigeria, Tunisia and Morocco - have qualified for the Fifa Under-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates from 17 October to 8 November.
The official draw for the tournament will take place on August 26 in the UAE.

Entertainment / Justin Bieber’s Crew Gets In Hamptons Fight, Charges Filed by baskettmouth: 12:20pm On Aug 06, 2013
Where Justin Bieber and his entourage go, drama follows (whether or not it actually involves the "Beauty and a Beat" singer).
The latest hit?
Bieber's security team was reportedly the cause of a major fracas outside of one of Southampton's trendiest clubs on Saturday night.
According to multiple outlets, including the New York Daily News, the New York Post, TMZ, and E! Online, Bieber arrived at South Pointe nightclub with his crew at after 2 a.m. The Daily News reports that his security detail was both "intimidating' and "overbearing" to patrons.
One thing all of the outlets corroborated in their reports: At one point a blond woman tried to talk to Bieber, and then a male friend of hers got into some sort of antagonistic exchange with the 19-year-old pop singer.
According to the Daily News what happened next was, "He [Bieber] ripped his shirt off and went nuts. He was screaming." He then reportedly left the hot spot with his crew, and some sort of fight took place outside of the club. "One witness reported seeing blood."
E! Online reports "authorities were not called to the scene but a police spokesperson tells us the unidentified male victim went to the Peconic Bay Medical Center at noon on Sunday and later filed a complaint alleging assault."
TMZ claims that "the alleged victim was knocked out on the cement," and "according to cops, Justin's people apparently went after the guy, although we're told the alleged victim was aggressive as well." They add that Bieber is not a target of the investigation, only his crew is.
Here's what omg! knows:
"Justin was not involved in any altercation," a rep for the singer confirms.
Meanwhile, multiple witnesses tell omg! that Bieber did not "go nuts" inside the venue and that Justin was "extremely well-mannered in the club."
The trouble all started in the parking lot while Justin remained inside his vehicle.
"At 2:40 a.m. Sunday, Justin Bieber arrived with friends and security at Southampton club South Pointe. They enjoyed the venue and left at 3:20 a.m.," a spokesperson for Southampton club South Pointe tells omg!.
"The police are investigating an incident that happened off premise of the club, down the street in which Justin Bieber's security confronted the individual after their car was struck with a rock after 4 a.m. The police have confirmed that there was no incident in the club or anywhere on the premises and the altercation took place off the premises."
A spokesperson for the Southampton Police tells the New York Post that indeed "the victim is pressing charges."
While the victim may press charges, nothing will be filed against Bieber.

Politics / Jang Opposes Fashola’s Bid To Withdraw NGF Suit by baskettmouth: 12:19pm On Jul 18, 2013
Factional Nigeria Governors’ Forum Chairman and Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang on Wednesday opposed moves by his Lagos State counterpart, Babatunde Fashola, to withdraw a suit seeking to restrain him (Jang) from acting as the forum’s chairman.

Fashola’s lawyer, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), did not disclose reasons for the sudden decision to discontinue the proceedings, which is before an Abuja High Court.

However, Jang’s lawyer, Tayo Oyetibo (SAN), who opposed the plaintiff’s move, instead prayed the court to dismiss the suit in its entirety.

Oyetibo’s prayer, it was gathered, would stop any further plan to re-file the matter.

Oyetibo’s opposition was based on the provisions of Order 27, Rules 2 and 6 of the High Court, which stipulates that a motion to which defendants had filed statements of defence could not be withdrawn without the permission of the court.
Hearing in the case had stalled twice following disputes over the identity of counsel for some of the defendants.

However, the presiding judge, Justice Peter Affen, on Wednesday settled the dispute by announcing that four NGF Registered Trustees had deposed to affidavits electing Friday Nwosu, instead of Awa Kalu (SAN), as their lawyer.

Kalu, the counsel for the second defendant – the NGF Director-General, Aisashana Okauru – had also announced appearance for the NGF Registered Trustees, the fourth defendant, a brief, Nwosu is laying claim to.

But the identities of the four registered trustees, who deposed to affidavits to choose Nwosu as lawyer of the group, were not disclosed.

The NGF registered trustees are governors Babangida Aliyu, (Niger); Isa Yuguda (Bauchi); Martins Elechi (Ebonyi); Godswill Akpabio (Akwa-Ibom); Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta) and Fashola.

Having settled the dispute over the brief of the Registered Trustees, Osinbajo announced that he had filed a notice seeking to withdraw the suit against the defendants.
The notice was dated July 16, 2013, but copies of the notice were served on the defendants in the courtroom.

Osinbajo therefore asked the court to strike out the suit.

But Oyetibo immediately opposed the move.

Oyetibo noted that since the plaintiff filed a motion to which the defendants had already responded, it was no longer possible for him to withdraw the matter without the permission of the court.

He said, “An applicant is bound by the prayers contained in his motion – they are seeking leave to run away. My submission is that the proper order is to dismiss the suit, not to strike it off as requested by the plaintiff.

“This is because, in light of all the materials placed before this court so far, the plaintiff has realised the weakness of his claims against the 1st defendant.”

But Osinbajo disagreed, stressing that the decision to withdraw the suit was not based on any purported weakness.

Justice Affen later adjourned to September 9, 2013 to hear the motion for withdrawal of the suit.
