220 US Forces killed,1800, 950, 370 killed..even when it's only 4 US Forces killed grin
At least they confirmed over 200 missiles, 16 ballistic . More than 100 drones follow am. Military bases scatter across the Gulf take hits, aircraft grounded, ship burst into flames.

So all those bases wey dey normally full of soldiers suddenly turn ghost town the moment missiles start landing?

Interesting times.

abuhusna1:
They have a point. Nigeria only gives their citizens 3 months visa so they are reciprocating giving nigeria citizens 3 months visa as well
If Nigeria can issue a 3-month visa in 10–15 working days, then the U.S. should reciprocate with the same efficiency—not this ridiculous system where you wait a year just to get a 3-month visa. Reciprocity isn’t just about duration, it’s also about timelines.

The Iron Dome hasn’t been destroyed —it’s actively protecting Israel, but it’s not infallible.

High-volume, coordinated attacks have breached the system’s defenses, causing real damage. The broader system still functions, though under pressure.
PoliticsRe: President Bola Tinubu Commissions 11 Completed Road Projects Across Nigeria by baslone: 12:36pm On May 31, 2025
creolehunt:
The signs that in the next 100yrs successive governments both at state and federal level will still be playing politics of road building.

Every single year, every government builds never ending roads that will be destroyed in few years, and the cycle continues.

Tueh!
Absolutely spot on.

Look at the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway — one of the busiest highways in Nigeria. It was first commissioned by Obasanjo in 1978. Since then, every other president has practically “recommissioned” it.
-Obj again as a civilian president initiated repairs in the early 2000s.
- Jonathan flagged off a major reconstruction in 2013.
- Buhari finally commissioned it in 2023, 45 years after it was first built.
- Now, in 2025, President Tinubu

That’s one road — built, rebuilt, flagged off, and re-flagged for nearly five decades.

So yes, you’re right. At this rate, in 100 years, our children may still be attending “commissioning ceremonies” for the same roads we’re driving on today.

A complete joke.

so that law says anyone house can be demolished without the person having a day in court ?by the governor?

Wait till one day a Governor will claim his political opponent is a kidnapper and demolish his building without appropriate lawful process of court proceedings.
Their state house of assembly wrote the law.

If it brings sanity to their land. So be it
CrimeRe: Governor Mba Demolishes Building Of Enugu Billionaire Kidnapper (Video) by baslone: 3:53pm On May 28, 2025
masseratti:
i don't understand how our governors think, they even lack the powers to demolish anyone's building with out due process,it's a civil government..not a military...
Understandable but in the case of Enugu State, there are existing laws that specifically address kidnapping. According to the state’s legislation:

- Kidnapping with a firearm is a capital offense.
- Kidnapping without a firearm carries a 10-year prison sentence.
- Landlords are held liable for any criminal activity that occurs on their property whether they were aware of it or not.
- The law also mandates forfeiture and demolition of any property used in the commission of kidnapping.

These laws were passed by the Enugu State House of Assembly, not arbitrarily enforced by the governor. So, in this case, the government is acting within the legal framework already in place.

If he is good enough
We have seen lots of footballers children who didn't reach the height of their fathers
Or even come close
That’s true in some cases, but there are plenty of examples where the sons have matched or even surpassed their fathers. Erling Haaland did it, , Schmeichel did it, Paolo Maldini . . .

Being a footballer’s son doesn’t guarantee success, but it doesn’t limit it either. Talent, work ethic, and mindset matter more than bloodlines. If he’s good enough, he’s good enough—name or no name.

PoliticsRe: EFCC ‘Arrests’ Aisha Achimugu Upon Arrival At Abuja Airport by baslone: 11:20am On Apr 29, 2025
DeLaRue:
Most police investigations are based on a degree of speculation. Police can arrest you if it has a reasonable cause to believe that you're connected to an alleged crime. If the investigation establishes that the arrestee is not connected to the crime, then the arrestee is released.

What's important is for the Police not to abuse the 'reasonable cause' basis for initiating or embarking on an arrest.

As for Mr Yahya Bello, he underwent a police investigation, and his case is proceeding in court. The Nigerian constitution permits him to 'walk free' - as you put, until and if the court finds him guilty.
While it’s true that the constitution presumes innocence until proven guilty, the reality on the ground tells a different story. The same constitution allows ordinary Nigerians to be thrown into jail within 10 days over mere allegations—many without trial for months or years. Yet, high-profile politicians accused of stealing billions walk free for years, shielded by endless court delays, injunctions, or outright withdrawal of cases.

Take Peter Odili for example—since 2007, he’s been protected by a perpetual injunction stopping the EFCC from even investigating him. Saminu Turaki was charged with laundering billions in 2007, but his case is still unresolved almost 20 years later. Orji Kalu’s conviction was overturned on a technicality and he’s yet to be retried. Ladoja’s case has dragged on since 2008 with no closure. Danjuma Goje’s corruption case was withdrawn by the Attorney General.

It is not just about the law, but a lack of political will and deep-rooted judicial corruption. If ordinary citizens are denied such leniency, then justice in Nigeria is clearly not blind—it’s selective.

There is a House Committee on Works. A representative from every state and FCT. They monitor construction and maintenance of Federal roads and bridges.

Tony Tetuiila never planned to be a musician until he watched Remedies perform in Ilorin’s. Unilorin and KwaraPoly held concerts back to back then.

L.T 1 on P.S hosted some of the biggest artistes in Nigeria at different times. We watched the likes of Tribesmen, Maintain Okey Bakassy, ArtQuake, DJ Shina perform at on stage.

We watched Tuface, basketmouth perform at newly built stellar Obasanjo at Tanke. Students used to look forward to Engineering Week. I can remember we brought Jimmy Jatt to P.S back to back.

Kwara Poly used to bring the biggest Fuji artiste to town. It always ended with frat fights and so called counting scores…

Good old days…
Foreign AffairsRe: 900k migrants Who Entered US Through Biden-era CBP One App To Leave Immediately by baslone: 5:43am On Apr 09, 2025
MasterTeeUSA:
If you have followed documentary of migrats from Venezuela and so on, they do the same thing that we do...take loans of close to $30k to pay smugglers, or from families...sell assets with the mind that they will work in the USA..now Trump wants all of them to self deport. Some are even stranded in Mexico as we speak. Power is transient. Govt ought to be a continuum. Trump's legacy I am sure history may not be so kind. We shall see.
The way I see it, Trump’s immigration policies primarily target documented migrants—people who entered the U.S. legally through official programs or valid visas (student, work, tourist, etc.) and either overstayed or are transitioning between statuses. These are the individuals caught in the crossfire of stricter rules and policy changes.

Meanwhile, undocumented migrants—many of whom, like thousands of Mexicans, Venezuelas cross the border illegally—continue to enter the country without being tracked. These individuals are essentially invisible to the system until they get into legal trouble. Ironically, Trump’s policies don’t even address this group effectively; instead, they create more roadblocks for those trying to follow the legal path.
