Streetinvestor2: 2027 is no longer too far BAT maybe a god/powerful to some but not everyone one.Gej did one tenure We know how 2023 went down based on inec glitch. Nigerians whr taken by surprise because ithey had believed in inec. This time they are vigilant because they don't trust inec again. Abiola did the unthinkable even with military president Napel guys equally felt too powerful/god
They should make sure 2027 election is free fair to all or anything can happen Bro this na illusion. Nobody born of a woman can win that dude. Let’s just forget about that. It’s better to focus on 2031. PBAT no be GEJ. I no dey even reason 2027 for now.. Totally and absolutely sealed. Be like sey market dey stagnant. My portfolio is not going up or down. |

mikeapollo: These things would most likely push more activity into the informal sector. Many more people would avoid using banks and could channel their funds through other means. How does it make sense that a 70 year old grandma/papa who is not working nor receiving salaries must have tax ID to open a bank account? What is the need for tax ID when already there is NIN and BVN? The clueless, arrogant govt. will surely leave because there is always a tenure limit, whether 4 years or 8 years. What about those outside Naija? |

mikeapollo: Before you buy, consider these questions/factors: i. Do you have the appetite for the risk that Oando carries? ii. Do you appreciate the potential future prospects and value of the company? iii. Are you willing to wait for the long term (possibly more than 6 months and in 1 year)?
Not buy/sell advice. DYOR
Note: I cannot advise a newbie or inexperienced fellow to buy Oando at the moment because of its peculiar situation, even though I am bullish on it. Thanks a lot, although I ain’t a newbie. Lol I have avoided Oando for a while, same way I would never touch Ellah Lakes even if it goes to 50. The TA just doesn’t sit well with me. My target entry for Oando is actually 37 based on my DD. But no one can tell |

Joyful365: 1. On Ellah Lakes - the directors loan of over 6 billion is a fraudulent scheme that will negatively impact shareholders as it will lead to increased outstanding shares which will be dumped on unsuspecting stock buyers. If you are a moralist, you'll question this. If you have sold your conscience for money then it doesn't really matter.
2. On minimising tax liability - learn to buy and sell at the right time to minimise your tax liability. If your stock appreciates, sell it and move the funds to a stock that doesn't depreciate or move much. To be safe, buy REITS with the proceeds and sell for cash withdrawal from your REIT or less volatile stock. By the time you do the calculation of price at which you bought the less volatile stock and price you're selling less expenses, it's the government that will owe you or your tax will be small or you'll not pay tax at all if your gain from selling through the less volatile stock is within 10 million. No need to adopt western style of using loans cos Nigeria interest rate is over 30% while theirs is less than 10%.
3. On Access - the intrinsic value of the stock is ₦20. If you are a bargain hunter then it's better to wait for price close to this intrinsic value. Remember that bank stocks are like currency, they depreciate over time due to increase in os, so don't be afraid to buy cheap. Access at N20 you are a joker right? |
