This guy is an idiot. His statement will only encourage more kidnappings.\

Sometimes the police conceal the truth about ransom to discourage intending
kidnappers.

Na your Papa born you.
Don't mind those challenging your comment, they don't know any better.
Same goes for the Falae guy who think emotion is any thing to rely upon for guidance.
Talk is cheap you know.
Moreover, too many secondary school leavers on nairaland, you know them by the way they curse.

I have the same car and i would advise you simply change the steering rack. If it is repaired it may not last.

Thanks bro

Hi friends.
I have a 2000 accord. recently I changed a leaky steering hose that used to smear the whole place with the fluid. A day after I notice a bigger leak from the steering rack itself. Some people has advised me to change it while some said it could be fixed. I need expert opinion on this issue being a tough decision now the fix is N6000 against N23,000 for changing it.
So the question is, "is it adviseable to repair a leaking 2000 accord steering rack instead of changing it completely?"
God bless us all.

Politics / Re: Buhari's Certificate Matter - Tune Into Channels Television by battyman(m): 10:51am On Jan 21, 2015
tete7000:
With this certificate issue alone, I can't vote Buhari. There is no way a man who is not faithful in little thing like certificate can fight corruption. NEVER.
The annoying thing is: going by the mode in which he attained his accomplishments, he will not see a big deal in promoting people with mediocrity. Giving people (especially the northerners) appointments even when they are not qualified cannot be alien to him. People may argue how has a man with PhD fair with his qualification? That question however rather brings another twist to the drama. It raises another serious question: If a man with PhD seems to be struggling, what can we then expect a man without SSCE to perform?
I don't want to be taken away by argument that Buhari rose to become a General in Nigerian Army . The truth is that Hausa/Fulani controlled and dominated the military for long that getting to the top irrespective of your qualification or background as long as you are from their stock cannot be a problem. Example is what we see in Abacha. It is their attitude of not caring about qualifications that brought so much rot into the Nigerian Army and even Nigeria as a whole.
I personally went to school, studied hard, know my onions, have come to appreciate distinction and professionalism and believe how well read you are determines how you will perform in any given office. I refuse to give in to argument that a man with little education is better than one with higher education. If that argument holds water, the world can as well wipe out secondary and higher education while we all simply go to school to learn to read and write. What is the essence of people spending their resources and life time studying if it can be argued that such is not necessary.

You shall not die, you shall live to see the glory of God.

9jacrip: ^^^^ why use dexron II or III when Honda has its own (highly recommended) transmission oil.

The dexron is meant to be used for a short period when honda tranny oil is unavailable and should be completely flushed out upon acquisition of recommended oil.

Please take note.

I concur.
Car Talk / Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by battyman(m): 10:35pm On Sep 21, 2014
numen: My Maintenance Tips:

1.) Change Engine Oil every 3000km (I use Mobil)
2.) Use Oando's Dexron II for the Gear Box (Abro will knock your gear) - (already mentioned)
3.) While driving be mindful not to always turn the steering to the last possible angle(helps the shaft)
4.) If you have an open roof, periodically clean the drainage hole to avoid water leaking into the car
5.) Vibrating Sound infront of the car? Check your engine sitting(already mentioned)
6.) Your single pipe radiator which used to work might not be the cause of your current over-heating...Check your water pump!
7.) Your car is not accelerating according to pedal pressure? Timing Belt might be the culprit.

Just my 2cents guys. Hope this helps someone. I luv this thread like I luv my Honda.

Bros your effort is appreciated.
But Oando dex II or any other dex II can't be good for honda. I've tried oando dex II on my 2000 accord after reading this very comment last year. It did not perform, it foams after long hours of operation and leaves the gear jumping. Now I'm using Seahorse dex IIID, everything now is smooth, fuel economy improved. Though I'm watching it closely.

About 3000km for oil change. You did specify the type mobil you use. If it is mobil 1000XHP in this region, I don't think so.

ozodigboo: It pains me as a doctor to be saying this, but i think our problem is that we have allowed JOHESU to brainwash the public.
Most people support JOHESU because they see us as oppressors. So many people here are commenting on issues they know nothing about.
We are NOT gods_ we are just like any other employee, protesting unfair advantage given to others in the health sector.
We went on strike January 6 2014, we called it off when Nigerians pleaded, & the FG promised things.

They did not. By June, we did a WARNING STRIKE, yet nothing.
And some are saying negotiations are better than strike - negotiate till when ?
ASUU were on strike for almost a year. . .people were lambasting FG.
ASUP is still on strike.. . . . . . . . . . . . . .people are lambasting FG.
Why is everyone attacking us now ?

Pharmacists, lab guys, nurses etc are being appointed directors in Teaching Hospitals. Good.
And yet, they say FG should abolish the post of Deputy CMAC, THAT THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING. why ?

In a hospital, the doctor is the head [ its the truth, lets not confuse the public ]. it doesn't make us gods.
In a home, the father is the head, [ irrespective of salary size ] it doesn't make him a god.
In the University, only Profs can aspire to head as VC. . . A man who became professor 5 yrs ago, can contest.. . . . a grade 1 lecturer who has been there for 20 yrs cannot. This is just the way it is.

Patients come to hospital, to see a doctor. The doctor prescribes drugs which a pharmacist may/may not want to edit. The doctor recommends lab tests for a patient, which he/she goes to meet the technician's input. The doctor outlines patients care for nurses to carry out.

Now. . . . there's a strike . . . . . everywhere is empty.

Strikes are not good, but we have been pushed to the wall. Doctors feed, we queue at petrol stations, we train our kids at school, WE ALSO FALL SICK. We are not asking for heaven and earth. We are asking for our due.

Just imagine if Police and Military should ask for their due in a like manner. More power comes with more responsibility and more responsibility comes with more sacrifice. Ponder on that.

Great to know that my understanding of someone not looking shabby in a uniform is not same as yours if great - meaning we still all unique.

No need for me to, we are talking about dressing smart now . . . Mind you, you could look at any pix and see what you wish to see, and same for me, but the level we are now is, post a pix of most Nigerian police officer and let us compare . . Lol

I won't do that either. But you may think I don't like her, NO. The faulty thing here is your understanding of being smart in uniform.
