In my town it's a taboo for a woman to climb a tree. Imagine having a woman on top of a tree and men are standing around the tree; what a sight. I believe our forefathers had good intents behind some of these taboo/don'ts but the problem is method of enforcement which are mostly superstitious. i think this one and some others are meant to promote decency; then why not come clean about it instead of attributing to revelations of the gods. |

In my town, Abba, Anambra state, it is a taboo to eat python or tortoise. There are some superstitious beliefs attached to that. But I think the logical reasoning behind this is that man has to work for his food. these two animals can neither run nor defend their selves, so why eat where you don't work. Staring at the world from a rear view. |

All muslims were either born into Islam and they grow up reading quran or already a convert by whatsoever means before they start reading quran. So, they read the book with the mind set that whatever I find here-in I must believe. I have also studied 'The Rosicrucian Order', Abd Ru Shin (grail message) and many more, yet none makes sense like the Gospel. So brother I'm not challenging you, I'm only asking you to take the Bible with an open heart, read the gospel, then check your ways before and after in as much as you remain a muslim. Qura'n 2:2 :[b]This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil)....you are on your own ooooooo....and you are warn Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72: Whoever commits 'shirk' (invoking anything with Allah), Allah shall forbid for him Paradise, and Hell shall be his abode. And for such wrong doers there will be no one to help.[/b]I have read quran from the begining to the end; the book is full of crap and the compilers did a very bad work. Some early recitations of mohammed appear either in the middle or toward the end of the book. The book contradits itself in so many place, God's revelation cannot be so. Because Islam is a human idea, no muslim can boast reasonable understanding of the content of quran in terms of God's will. This is why mohammed told a disciple "allah forbids you for asking too much (hadith)" where as the man needed clarity but mohammed found his self in a tight corner. this is still happening today. The quran as mohammed claimed was revealed says that christians have 'God the Father, God the son and God the mother' where as the Holy Trinity in christian faith is God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit: this is just to tell that mohammed did not read the Bible well befpre cooking up the quran. these I mentioned are just but a few of the craps in the quran. Muslims do not understand the concept of the Holy Trinity; hence the animorsity. The attitude of mohammed towards the issue is likened to black man's attribution of anything beyond his knowledge to 'juju'. In a nut shell, reading the quran made my faith in christianity stronger. 1 Like |

Jenny only people like you understand the danger in having likes of Nwoye in government. I was in Unizik 2003 and I know how the Ubahs operated with those frat guys which included Nwoye and a state assembly member from Ukwulu-Dunukofia lga and many more. So it's necessary that the people rise and resist their advances on public positions. |

Not all the registered voters will be available vote for one reason or the other. I am one among the 1.8 mil, but I'm not in Anambra now. Credible elections are not characterised by high figures. Just saying though. |

Mine is 2000 accord. She is not showing any signs of problem, but the 'check engine' and 'maintenance required' indicators on the dashboard are always on. I changed the engine oil and every other thing checks out, but those indicators are still on. Help!!! |
