FamilyRe: 70% Of Nigerians Are Mentally Unstable - Psychiatrist by bawomolo(m): 5:36am On Jul 10, 2010
buzugee:
without a question of doubt this is a very anemic estimate. i am leaning more towards 90 percent. folks you have to remember that craziness is relative. you dont have to be outright crazy to be certified crazy. nigerians are a very peculiar bunch. they all have some kind of mental defect that either makes them extremely hot tempered ( our igbo brothers and hausa brothers should know about this one), extremely morally bankrupt ( fraud, embezzlement, armed robbery, police checkpoint robbery, immigration officer robbery, etc etc), extremely ostentatious (this is a mental defect too), extremely inconsiderate (this falls under sociopathic behavior and includes closing a whole street because they are havin a party), extremely arrogant (this is sociopathic behavior), easily bawled over by material goods (this is sociopathic behavior ).
my point being over 99 percent of nigerians have sociopathic tendencies. this is a mental disorder
who hacked you grin

abeg this is exactly what martins needs let him have i great season at kazan and european clubs will rush him. it is better to be a star man at kazan, than to be playing 20minutes once every 2games. the guy martins still has it for me he is good as yekini when he is on form. just watch how martins would become top scorer and find a new big club
why would they rush a 30 plus year old geezer?

FamilyRe: Lagos Parents May Go To Jail For Flogging Their Children by bawomolo(m): 8:24pm On Jul 09, 2010
You guys are misconstruing punishment with respect.

A punishment is a reinforcer to let a child know what is wrong or right. If punished, they'd understand  next not to repeat the same mistake or mistakes of its kind.

I've been beaten by some of my relatives, some I respect and some I dont respect at all.  It's all abt discipline and training. Respect is another factor.
is beatings the most effective way to instill respect.  most of the time, you are instilling fear and not respect.  what happens when the child becomes immune to the beatings?

weren't most of the agberos and omo-otas beaten too?

when do the beatings stop, when the child is 10,15,20? beatings lose their effectiveness pretty fast hence the reasons lots of Nigerians have bad relationships with their fathers.

FamilyRe: Are Marriage Vows Difficult To Uphold? by bawomolo(m): 7:22pm On Jul 09, 2010
zoelife:
Yes, they are becoming more and more difficult to uphold because the society we live in is becoming more and more morally decadent, wat with the internet and globalization.
when was society not decadent?  it's only broadcasted more now.

you think prostitution and the likes just started 10 years ago? cassanova was born 20 years ago?
larry flint and hugh hefner are older than the internet

They are God made laws and are as old as creation itself. Except we want to change God too.
humanity does that easily. we have gone from worshiping sango and amadiorha to worshiping jesus and allah in a matter of a few generations. gods change over time. Is polygamy a God made law, folks like Abraham and solomon had no problem having concubines.

presido is now associating with the tura soap gomina now?

BTW, I don't think spending 10 billion dollars (abt US $65m) is too much to celebrate a nation's 50 years anniversary. My opinion.
what exactly are we celebrating? is spending millions on lectures/symposiums now a form of celebration. which kind symposiums on independence day cost millions shocked
