Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari was “accordingly reprimanded” but remains part of the national team after an explosive argument with the team’s coach last weekend, according to the Ghana Football Association.

The federation released the statement after reports that Muntari had been kicked off the team after arguing with Coach Milovan Rajevac during the 1-1 tie with Australia on Saturday.

The federation said that Muntari, who plays for Inter Milan, “reacted angrily and in a manner that was offensive to the team’s code of conduct”
