A Kenyan woman has committed suicide after she claimed she could not handle her husband’s infidelity and maltreatment.

The deceased gave a poisonous substance to her 3 kids before hanging herself with a rope in the room she shared with her husband.

The deceased, Jane Mwende, a resident of the capital Nairobi in a suicide note detailed how she is suffering in her marriage.

She added that she was ending her life and that of the two kids, a boy and a girl to teach her husband a bitter lesson.

Edimond Maubi, husband of Jane Mwende admitted he had some marital problems with his now-deceased wife but was astounded how she could do such a dastard act.

The corpse has been taken to the morgue for preservation as police begin investigations into the unfortunate incident.

A Nigerian couple will spend a lengthy period behind bars after they were found guilty of sexual assault.
The couple identified as 49-year-old, Shola Ogundare and his 35-year-old partner, Oluwafunmilayo Emmanuel were put before a court in the United Kingdom in 2018.

At the end of the trial, the two were found guilty by the Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

Ogundare and Emmanuel had been earlier arrested and taken into police custody for questioning over an assault on a young boy, a charge the couple pleaded not guilty.

During investigations, it came to light that the couple had also sexually abused a young girl in their home.

The judge sentenced the male accused to a total of 15 years for te sexual assault and his female partner handed four years for her cruelty to the young boy.

The prosecutor thanked the court for such a strong sentence adding that it will send a note of caution to other evil perpetrators of child abuse.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 10-year-old boy for allegedly having sexual contact with a 19-year-old while she was sleeping.
Deputies say the incident happened in the early morning hours of April 6.
The boy was arrested on April 13 and charged with first-degree sexual abuse,
He was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled to return to the Oneida County Youth Probation Department at a later date.
An order of protection was also requested on behalf of the victim.

A Wakefield couple has been arrested after authorities say they only fed their two children only one meal a day, and would hit or choke them if they left their locked bedroom.
Angel and Patrick Henderson were arrested early Wednesday afternoon and charged with two counts of child abuse.

According to court documents, shortly before 6 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2018, the Dixon County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Angel saying her 14-year-old son was missing from their home in Wakefield.

The teenager was eventually found in the back of a vehicle and taken to Providence Medical Center in Wayne for treatment.

A couple was arrested on abuse charges after they said a 9-year-old boy told them he and his younger siblings were "tired of being beat."
KAIT reported that Greene County sheriff’s deputies arrested 30-year-old Cody Tyler Baker and 26-year-old Alexis Leanna Murray of Beech Grove on three counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor first-degree.

Baker was also charged with three counts of second-degree domestic battery.

KAIT reported that the charges stemmed from a reported filed on March 14 by a woman babysitting the three children. The woman allegedly told investigators that she needed to leave but couldn't get in touch with the parents who had left the children the day before "without adequate supplies."

Deputies called the Child Abuse Hotline after seeing that the children's home was "not a clean, safe environment."

Investigators said, while waiting for the Department of Human Services, they reached out to Murray, who said she was heading home but was two hours away.

KAIT reported that one of the victims showed the deputy a TV with a broken screen and told him that Baker had "grabbed his head and slammed it into the TV, breaking it."

North Carolina deputies said they discovered a newborn baby inside a plastic bag underneath leaves after getting a tip on Wednesday afternoon.
WFMY reported that deputies with the Union County Sheriff’s responded after hearing that a newborn might be at or near a home.
While outside the home, deputies said they heard faint noises consistent with a crying baby. They found the newborn inside the bag next to a fence.

The child was alive with the placenta still attached, officials said.

Police responded to reports of a man trying to rape a woman in the area of State Street.
Officers said 31-year-old Michael Greenspun was wearing only a shirt and no pants or underwear when he attempted to sexually assault the woman.

The victim was working in a first-floor storage area at the time of the incident. She was able to break free, run to the lobby area, and call for help, according to police.

According to officials, Greenspun is homeless. Greenspun was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation, then taken by NHPD to detention.

"In a separate incident, he was charged for spitting at and on a detention officer," police said in a release.

South Africa’s coronavirus cases jumped again to 709, the health minister said Wednesday, as the country with the most cases in Africa prepared to go into lockdown.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize announced the new number on state television and pointed out a worrying cluster of cases in Free State province among attendees of a church gathering where five cases were reported. All were in people who had recently traveled abroad.

South Africa’s lockdown begins first thing Friday.

White House officials on Tuesday called for people who left New York City in recent days to quarantine for two weeks in their new location, saying that they might have unknowingly contracted the coronavirus before leaving.
“Everybody who was in New York should be self-quarantining for the next 14 days to ensure the virus doesn’t spread to others, no matter where they have gone, whether it’s Florida, North Carolina, or out to far reaches of Long Island,” Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus coordinator, said at a press conference Tuesday. “We’re starting to see new cases across Long Island that suggest people have left the city. This will be very critical.”

People should quarantine for 14 days based on the time they left New York, meaning if a person left four days ago, they should quarantine for 10 days, Birx said.

Seven people were wounded after a mortar attack by al-Shabab militants hit the area around Mogadishu airport on Sunday, Somali witnesses and officials say
The mortars landed on the heavily-guarded Halane area of the airport that houses the African Union and United Nations Mission in Somalia.

The Nigerian Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Ramatu Ahmed, says no fewer than 10,000 Nigerian girls are forced into prostitution in Burkina Faso.
Mrs Ahmed disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) in Ouagadougou on Monday.
She said the victims of the sex-trade were mainly underage girls kept in appalling conditions in Ouagadougou and in mining camps across the West African country.
Mrs Ahmed, who has been in Burkina Faso since August 2017, said over 200 Nigerian girls had been voluntarily repatriated this year.
According to the Ambassador, many of the girls, who were promised jobs in the country and Europe by the human traffickers, are not willing to return home.
"The spate of human trafficking here in Burkina Faso is a big concern to the embassy because at present, we have nothing less than 10,000 Nigerian girls who have been trafficked into Burkina Faso as commercial sex workers.
"And most of these girls are underage; most left schools and are roaming about doing commercial sex work in Burkina Faso.
