Dude, you want to help, which I commend, but escrow no be beans work, you've got to be careful, it's not just about standing between two trading parties, scammers on this thread have become smarter than most traders and you as an escrow have got to be at least two steps ahead of their game.

They say experience is the best teacher, maybe next time, you should have contacted the person who made herself available for escrow when you needed it and sought her opinion (although I can't guarantee that would have yielded a much better result because peeps are extremely careful these days)

What I am 100% sure your 'soliciting for escrow duty' would do is make you a target for a MITM attack and believe me, that is by far, a worse place to be than being scammed.

An Escrow service that don't have to wait for the availability of just few persons, i really don't know how possible this is.

Need an expert to quote me on the best way to do this. We can all agree on how to really make this work. For me i really don't like how the present Escrow works, its slow and most times unreliable. Sometimes you want to deal by 2am and no one is available for Escrow.

Good question, but you've got to realize what you propose can't happen outside of nairaland since th tranders are on nairaland, which means Seun has2want it, but as things stand, Seun doesn't want it: his stance is this: NL is a forum, not a market place, and its even in hi rule book that bitcoin is 'illegal' (paraphrasing here) (Rule #16) so until that changes, the little selfless service that is being rendered by some people here, is all you can get.

When that changes, then other modalities like percentage of trade which would go into escrow as fees, how disputes should be arbitrated, duration o trade liability etc can now be discussed and ironed out.
