Top of the hour to everyone reading this, I just want to bring our attention to some things I observed in our history and how things are emerging right in our faces and I want us to judge the actors and actions.

Lately many people criticize Nigerians for not trusting the Igbos with power and how they deserve a shot at presidency but I object to that.

Looking back at our history, Igbos have never proved they can be fair in judgement when it involves their brothers and other tribes so it's basically unsafe handling power over to them in a multi ethnic society

In the build up of reprisal attack in the 1960's we read in history books of how the coup plotters were treated like kings behind bars and their salary paid upfront, meaning aguiyi ironsi didn't see anything bad in what the coup plotters did n he felt they didn't need to be punished probably because they were his kinsmen.

The same scenario is playing out today right before our eyes in the sense that till today an Igbo person will never see anything wrong in whatever his kinsmen does no matter how wrong it is

We all saw how they defended the issue of mmesoma even when it was glaring she was wrong and ever created a thousand threads to defend her, many of them even saw it as an attack on their tribe ( I guess punishing their sister who goofed is an attack to them)

The second issue is the case of amaka, I believe we saw how they defended it and even came up with ridiculous excuses so as to paint her the victim, thru never agreed she's wrong till today

To the one that happened lately, the case of the abia state politician, it's with utmost surprise that I found out many of his kinsmen are still defending his and many like kettykin, shortgun and co even make it look like the politician assaulting the driver is the victim

They have created threads in thousands to defend their brother with the usual ridiculous excuses

Some of them even went as far as saying bolt should be cancelled or fined heavily by the Nigerian government ( just imagine)

Now to the question, how do u trust these people with power when they can't have a fair sense of judgement once it involves their brother?

How do we trust their brothers will b held accountable for crimes if they are in power?
