I wasn't amazed at this sad news. This is a boy we all grew up together in a certain area in Onitsha, Anambra state. I have known him for 17years. I'm sorry to say this, from childhood he always exhibited criminal tendencies, eg: We attended the same secondary school (a prestigious and well-respected school in Onitsha) for one day he never entered classroom, bulying the junior ones, mingling with miscreants. Selling and smoking hemps, chasing after women at that age, etc. Handsome Nonso, looks promising at a point in life but to my disappointment he choose the fast lane. People that attended his wedding attested to its robust celebration that brought about questions and murmuring in the same venue how he made such money within short period he joined the force. He's the first son in a family of three. All the scolding & shoutings of his parents to quit bad life fell on the deaf ear. I want to use this medium to say Sorry to his Innocent parents he brought to disrepute. Slow and steady wins it in life. There's this Igbo Proverb that says, If the ear refused to heed warning, when the head is cut-off, the ear joins it. I'm sorry son. So sad |
