Layiwoo: Hello house members...kindly help me with these!!!
A friend said he was given this scenerio to rank in a job interview, which of them should come 1st,2nd........6th In your personal plans for the next five years, rank in order of importance the following: Job Security,Promotion,Job Satisfaction, New Experience, Training and Salary..
Note..Give reason for your ranking..responses will be appreciated As an inexperienced graduate i would rank them as follows: Training New Experience Job security Job satisfaction Salary Promotion Reasons as follows: 1. Training: the importance of this cannot be over-emphasised. As a graduate lacking the needed experience, training is required for in order for me to get the bearing of what my job role, duties and responsibilities in the organisation are and how to go about carrying them out. 2. New Experience: we all know change is the only constant thing and people, things, ideas and situations change everyday which results in learning new things and gaining new experiences. This brings about contentment and growth. 3. Job Security: I think this in one way or the other contributes to employee performance. If there is a high chance of me continuing with that organisation I would ensure I put my possible best in ensuring I remain there,in the process gain more of number 2 above and if possible climb up the corporate ladder of that organisation but if that's not the case, performance level will drop, would work with less enthusiasm and would very much be planning my exit strategy. 4. Job satisfaction : This has always been one of my prayers and am hoping I get a job that gives this because like number 3 it affects performance also and I don't want to be stuck at a job I hate doing or dread going to. If you have this then it will be as if you are going to have fun everyday when going to work.*big grin* 5. Salary : I picked this as fifth because well as much as money is important, some things are more important than this and also no amount of salary offered would be enough. Your best bet is ensuring you keep a part of this for investment purposes and at the end of the day,you are still able to cater and take care your required needs and everybody is happy.....Lol 6. Promotion: This last because if the mountain does not come to moses, moses might as well go to the mountain. What I mean is if I don't get this in my present firm and I decided its time for me to experience change(new experience) I could easily apply to another firm for a higher position than my current job, harmed with my years of training and experience, which would make me an hot cake(lol) and keeping in mind number 1-5 above. P.S: I hope I made sense cause I was even beginning to confuse myself with the long epistle....lol Goodnight! |

I don't know if this is the right thing to do but if I were you I would come up with an excuse so I can move into the hostel. Because as it is now you are building up resentment and it push you to doing something you might regret.
On a second thought, the man might not realise what he is doing. If you can talk to him and let him know how you are feeling maybe he would change.
Just hold on and don't dwell on those suicidal thoughts. Its just a phase,it will pass.
Best wishes. |

artisticallyart: Yes companies have adopted IFRS in preparing financial statements while Small, medium scale enterprise will be IFRS compliance by next year. Pick up a any news paper with the published account of any Company and see the changes. We now have statement of profit or loss account and other comprehensive incomes as against Trading, profit and loss account and Statement of affairs as against balance sheet.
IFRS is a global trend while SAS has since been abolished the same account we prepare here is now the same account prepared abroad.
The major changes are impairment loss, Property, plant and equipments, fair value, format of preparation e.t.c
Getting a copy is going to the Internet. As regards looking for an Audit firm, I will advice you type that on the Internet and am sure you will know how to go about them. You could visit Ejike, Okechukwu and Co. Ayeni, Bay and Co. e.t.c Many thanks for your reply I appreciate it. Would do as you suggested and I hope I get what I seek. Thanks again |

Family › Re: Whose Church Is The Family Church?? by beau49: 9:53am On Nov 14, 2014 |
HARDDON: Eph 5:23 how could man hv made this? Huh?
Christ is the Head of the Church as d man is d head of the home. As much as we all love to hv a lil chat n reach a compromise on certain issues , there r some that r none negociable. And this is one of them. For peace to reign, the wife must acept d leadership of d man in dis regard . Thru out the bible , God spoke with Men not their wives. He wanted Issac sacrificed , he spoke with Abraham , and Abraham never consulted Sarah. U can imagine what her response would hv been. So wives, follow ur men, at all cost n by all means.
Now u deviating from d argument when u mention both having to attend separate churches( that shouldn't even occur nonetheless) What we were on about was d fact that after wedding, the wife much follow her husband to his church! If u ain't comfortable with his church, then don't marry him! Period.
We all know: any two headed animal is a beast and two captains can't be on same both. From time immemorial so itz been, women move from their family, abandon family names and churches, n Clive to their husbies .
But u indomie n egg gurls not only want a man that would pay ur bride price, u also want to keep d unknown family name with a dash, dictate which church all will attend and generally lord it subtly over ur supposed head of the home . And u just begun ***very deep sigh** Head? Leadership?? From what you just wrote I can deduce that you think women are of less importance than men since the Almighty spoke to the men and not the woman. Am afraid that chapter does not in anyway relate to a woman going to the husband church. What is leadership? Or what does it mean to be the head? Does being the head mean you can't listen to or take into consideration the feelings, opinions and perspective of the people you have headship over? Do you know leadership also means to serve?or you prefer to ignore that aspect of leadership and wield control or flex muscle? Like I said earlier, this issues should be discussed between both couples 'before' marriage,so they know what is acceptable and what isn't. If a person decides to leave someone who makes him/her happy and fulfilled just because of 'church' was never ready for marriage to that person. |
Family › Re: Whose Church Is The Family Church?? by beau49: 8:58am On Nov 14, 2014 |
tete7000: Hmmm!, true love to me entails loving someone and learning to love and enjoy what they enjoy. Now regarding the issue of faith, it becomes more important that a woman loves her husband faith. It is the wife that is expected to give up and follow her husband not vice-versa. I am not totally ruling out the reverse case but it rarely occurs. The house needs to have a common front as regards faith as the house divided against itself cannot stand. If they don't share faith, it's the children that suffer. They are the ones who ends up not having strong faith, so on that ground the woman who loves her man and invariably her children should embrace wholeheartedly her husband's faith. In case she can't, I advise she marry a man whose faith she shares for the sake of her children. Reading through all I can see his faith this, his faith that? Please define his faith or rather explain what you mean by his faith? People tend to forget that during judgement you stand alone and solely bear the punishment/reward for every decision, action, words or deed you carry out when it was premeditated or not. An individual should do what is good for him/herself as long as it does not harm the other in the process. A persons belief or conviction should NEVER be based on man-made rules or just because it is what is expected of you. If both parties are spiritually alert then they would know better than to allow minor and earthly things like church deter them from having a peaceful home. A man(male and female) is not an animal that has to agree to every whim and decision it spouse take, which is why they have brains and the free-will to decide and come to an agreement. So far nobody has given a concrete reason why a lady must go to the husband's church. From what I read people do it cause that's the MO or to give the impression of being submisive(which you and I know is beyond going to a spouse place of worship). I know of a couple here on NL who both go to different place of worships and they have a beautiful marriage and family. So the argument that it would break the home if couples go to different place of worship does not hold water. |
Family › Re: Whose Church Is The Family Church?? by beau49: 8:21am On Nov 14, 2014 |
HARDDON: There is no discussion there. It is d responsibility of the man to lead the family, Abram got called, his wife followed not even knowing where they were going to.
First man , Adam failed because he let d wife lead him astray, when God came, he didnt call Eve, it was Adam he called, the man ,as d pilot, is to be held responsible for any ish that goes wrong with his fam. Christ is d head of d church, since d church can't lead Christ, why would a woman lead d fam to her church?
A guy left a sworn cathollic Gurl cos of this. So what you are trying to tell me is that because a couple decide to attend different place of worships even when they serve 'the same God', God would still hold the husband responsible? For what exactly? Should place of worships even be a cause for argument? As long as we serving the same God shouldn't that be enough? Like I said place show me a place in the bible that supports ' a wife must move/go to the husband's church'. Am beginning to believe this is a man-made rule, just like the doctrines most churches adopt. |
