Fashion / Glow Today, Groan Tomorrow by beautytherapist(f): 6:23am On Mar 23, 2017
This is a campaign targeted at creating awareness for bad skincare practices and unqualified beauty professionals. There is a reason some of us went to school to learn all about the health and the structure of the skin. Do not be carried away by claims and promises. The fact that they claim a product is organic does not mean it is. Please be aware and educate yourself as much as possible. You will not take your car to a gardener for repair, why would you now take your skin to a quack? Please join this campaign and be aware of the dangers of patronising quack skincare practitioners. Do not #glowtodaygroantomorrow
I am not out here to sell anything. If you reach out to me, I would carry out proper consultation and prescribe what you would buy. Say no to skin bleaching and enough of damaged skin. Do not pay for the death of your skin. The glow you see today may cause you to groan tomorrow

Poems For Review / You Need To See This by beautytherapist(f): 5:08am On Mar 23, 2017
I stay in the rain, stuttering
Water running down my lips, muttering
I reminisce as showers penetrate my clothes, shattering
My world playing in fast paces before my eyes, alarming
I laugh, cos i'd rather not cry, stammering
And all seems like a dream, awakening
Dunno why everything had crashed, weathering
But alas, I feel there is light ahead, catering
Are these tears running down my cheeks? glisterine
Are they truly tears of joy? Amazing
Finally the light has come through, glittering
The storm is over, calming
Now I can feel my face, glowing
I have stretched out my hands again, testing
Will you meet me half way? Trusting
I am calling you out loud, shouting
Will you recognise my voice? Soothing
I hope you do and show up, meeting
And that we remain forever friends, loving

Tired of spending on products that dnt work

What cream can i use(for a long time that is not harsh)
mix raw african black soap with honey, turmeric powder and carrot oil. Use this twice daily. Buy clinic body lotion to apply as body cream. Make your body scrub with brown sugar, honey and coconut oil to use once a week. For more tips and answers follow on instagram @thebeautytherapistnigeria

Fashion / How To Make Carrot Oil For Skin Glow by beautytherapist(f): 12:23pm On Mar 12, 2017
Carrot oil is widely used in cosmetics for its skincare properties and nourishment. There are several brands out there that can be purchased but I always advocate as a dermal consultant that you can always make your own.
RECIPE:
2 Organic fresh carrots
Any oil of your choice ( sunflower, sesame, olive, coconut)
Grate the carrot with a cheese grater, pour into a pot and add the oil. Make sure the oil covers the carrot. Put on a stove at low heat. After a while you will notice the oil becoming orange in colour. Leave on the heat for between 24 -72 hours and then remove heat, allow to cool and store in a bottle. The oil can last for 6-8 months
Can be applied on the skin for natural lightning, skin glow, fade acne scars and for additional sun protection.
