Wat I ask is, shld i liquidate d FD and credit ma salary acct whr it came frm, so dat d balance wld be over 1m or I can leave d FD, apply wit acct statement plus d FD cert? Tnx

Vicjustice: It would be an added advantage to have good balance in your account, but it is more important that the account meets these4 requirements: Your bank statement must have up to 6 months transaction records demonstrating your income (from verifiable sources) and expenditures, and it must have good enough fund to sustain your trip and intentions, and also; it must have enough balance to keep you going after the trip

VicJustice, tnx. In other word, I cld credit am current acct wit d funds wen it expire next since it is rolled over every month. My worry is, won't it look like a lump lodgement? Tnx

Vicjustice: You can't use a fixed deposit account to "fund the trip" the money in such account is considered unavailable for your use until the date of release; but you can use the account as a proof of obligation and home tie

If u hav a fixed deposit earmarked to fund the trip, do u just include ur fixed deposit certificate together wit current acct statement and explain or liquidate d FD and credit d current acct then explain so it doesn't look like "money lodgement"? hello, group. pls help. my organisation's letter of introduction to embassies usually carries the total emoluments (no breakdown of the figure into salary and allowances) of a staff. a colleague was denied visa 2 months ago because her total emolument wasnt reflected on her payslip (which only carries monthly salary) and her bank statement. since i intend to apply early next month with similar letter, what should i do? should i just give, in the column for additional information, a breakdown of the total emolument into salaries and allowances and pointing out the dates in the bank statements? my total emolument is abt 6m but the monthly salary is 140k. the rest is quarterly education allowance, medical allowance, productivity, annual rent allowance etc. thank u

@ Omo_Tier1, i want to apply for tourist visa. Also, my understanding is that ECOs have local knowledge of the countries they work in. certainly they will know that northern muslims just do wedding fatihas and only few follow up with court weddings. my assumption is, it is better to admit the obvious than to try and "get" some paper to proof marital status. over to you.

Hello, House. kindly assist. for my visa application, i have no marriage certificate as the marriage was conducted according to Muslim rites in Niger State. my wife and i didn't do a court wedding afterwards either. Will including wedding reception pictures and an explanation be sufficient for the ECO? Tnx

hello forum. i recently started reading this thread and it is so helpful. please i need help. i wish to apply for visitors visa as a firsttimer. my challenge is that i have an official age which is on my passport. but my parents who have 5yr multiple entry visas must have written my real age (2yrs different) on the section for children in their application forms over the years. i dont know how this will play out in the processing stage. i dont know what to do. plsease help.

good everyone. someone kindly help me, i have a situation. i am about to apply for uk tourist visa. my problem is my parents who are both regular visitors to the uk used my real age in filling the application section for children. i now use an official age 2yrs younger than that. i have no idea what to do now as my new passport carries the official age. pls help.
