NYSCRe: Scrap the NYSC Program: Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Labour by Beextra(m): 6:39pm On Jan 02, 2009
kjunkie word !.But you need to look at the labour market during popsy's time. The number of graduates then is only a fraction of what we have today.Meaning, its now more difficult for these youths to get jobs in the labour market and the so called NYSC wasnt primarily founded on principles to address this unemployment monster.Whilst am not advocating throwing the baby away with the dirty water, but we must  not forget it is gradualy loosing its relevance not only because of its corrupt directors but also because its not addresing the present day needs of our youths.'' Prepare them to create jobs, and not prepare them to undertake jobs which are not available  '',

The REP might be erred in his analysis and solution proferred, but truth is NYSC is one of the major frauds starring at us in the face. And truth is the Nation can do well without it,so why should scrapping it be an headache compared to some other important 'sick, corrupt ridden Govt/public institutions.
NYSCRe: Scrap the NYSC Program: Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Labour by Beextra(m): 6:01pm On Jan 02, 2009
lol @ kobojunkie. And your recommendation would be,allow the ' sick programme ' continue because you feel  it cant be saved or just crave in to natural death.
NYSCRe: Scrap the NYSC Program: Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Labour by Beextra(m): 5:13pm On Jan 02, 2009
@ Naijex.Yes - i agree it used to be a catalyst, especially when National unity was at its infantry level and thus fragile.Currently, the programme has completely lost its values by further isolating itself from the principles which it was founded on.It has become another avenue for funds drain, and its benefits to the graduating youths has abruptly came to an halt.My recommendation - the programme should be either be scrapped or redefined to ameliorate the present  fundamental issues which affects youths after graduation in relation to National development. The major scorge 'now' is unemployment, the programme should therefore be amended towards this direction i.e making fresh graduates job creators instead of wasting off a year and adding pressure/expanding the labour market all in the name of ficticious 'National development/unity' and ofcourse funds embezzlement.

Music/RadioRe: Best Nigerian Real Hiphop Track For 2008 by Beextra(m): 7:31pm On Dec 22, 2008
I think Lord of Ajasa Genre of Music can be branded '' Hip Hop '',the fact that he rhymes in a different language doesnt make it any different. For clarifications see here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_hop_music

Excerpts : '' Hip hop music, also referred to as rap music, is a music genre typically consisting of a rhythmic vocal style called rap which is accompanied with backing beats ''

Is it now a new trend for some ' Big 'artistes to allow their Albums saturate in the market before releasing a Video for their hits.Cant believe Dbanj hasn't shot any video for '' Entertainer '' yet . Or is it,just another marketing strategy huh Your views are welcome
Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Responds To Death Blow (the Mode9 Diss Song) by Beextra(m): 12:44am On Dec 14, 2008
@ Kay , your analysis is onpoint . When i joined this forum i got the whole scenario confused myself - i.e got caught in the '' Rugmode Sauce '' controversy. But after a thorough observation of all these rappers,You will agree with me they still got room to improve.

Well,if you did ask me - its actually meant to be a healthy competition. But then a vivid observation of all the rappers in question you will find out they represent different unique styles of Rap i.e both the modern day rap and hardcore rap( which is more of poetry),which means the basis of comparism doesnt exist.

Sauce kid is quite good when it comes to fusing swag/slangs into rap ( modern day rap ).Rugged is cut in between the modern day rap and hardcore Rap,whilst Mode9 is definitly a lyricist major( Hardcore lyrical/poetic Junkie ).We cant isolate these attributes from these Rappers,or hence we left with a '' personality void ''.

We should all therefore be encouraging them to improve, and that will spark/ignite an inspiration to upcoming Nigerian Rappers - making Nigerian rappers 'Thick '.Dwelling solely on '' beefs'' or who comes out best should therefore be discouraged, that is ofcourse if we really do,want to see our Rap industry grow. Just my 2kobo .

'' You just wait make i hold my money, wait make i hold my rabbar, wait make i hold my kishy, honey-honey ,sweety-sweety, i want ya, '' That line dey addictive,
