ComputersRe: Networking Challenges & Troubleshooting by Beextra(m): 7:34am On Aug 10, 2014
Interesting thread, multicast will definitely be an option like you suggested. Since the traffic is not in anyway traversing wan and with the mention of 6500 at the core, bandwidth and latency shouldn't be an issue (hopefully your network doesn't have layer2 throttlers) smiley . Please keep us updated on your implementation and if possible, major milestone(s). Thanks.

TV/MoviesRe: CPC Wants Pay-as-you-go Subscription For DSTV Consumers by Beextra(m): 5:29am On Nov 21, 2012
It is funny how Nigerians come out to condemn companies who ignored the odds and invested in the country at a time when our politicians were busy stashing funds abroad. Mtn,DSTV etc invested in the country when other investors avoided Nigeria like plague.

Obviously, they are not saints in their business operations but we need to remember the business environment in which they operate. The industrial sector is in comatose, the likes of Dunlop, textile mills are good examples. We should hold our government responsible for the bad operating environment, which has discouraged improved services and healthy competition within the Nigeria business climate.

These companies run on DIESEL,operate under hyper stressful commuting situation and Government parastatals who constantly demand bribe from them.like common,How on earth can they offer pay-as-you-go TV ?
Christianity EtcRe: The Difference Between 'spirit' And 'soul' by Beextra(m): 3:28pm On Aug 07, 2012
This is not in anyway an attempt to derail the topic. But,if the body is the hardware as people have said here.
And,the soul that sinneth is out-rightly condemned to Hell fire which is believed to be very hot/a place prepared
for punishment.

How do you feel without the hardware( the body )? especially since the soul has lost the ability 'to feel' after death
i.e the body has been dropped.

PoliticsRe: In Nigeria We (the Followers) Are More Corrupt Than Our Leaders. by Beextra(m): 1:21pm On Nov 18, 2011
Nigerians simply complain, complain and complain, whilst they are the architects of their own plaques that befall them.Come 2015 they will still vote in these same crop of corrupt ridden politicians and expect good roads, constant power supply, more jobs etc shocked

[b ]Truth is,We still have credible Nigerian Followers, which means we can empower these corrupt free followers to become credible leaders.(i.e if we want to )[/b]

Until there is a mass understanding of the true power of our votes,we should expect more damage to the Nigeria state .If we really and truly want the positive and progressive change we all clamour for, come 2015 vote wisely and guard your votes jealously.

Our generation can still save the next Nigeria generation !!!

TravelRe: Don't Fly Bellview! by Beextra(m): 1:03am On Sep 04, 2009
The situation here is  really terrible,i am typing this right from the hotelroom Bellview arranged for us.We are about 60passengers stranded right here in this hotel with different pathetic stories,we were able to come through with a mild protest yesterday(03/09/09) at Heathrow terminal 2 and we were lucky enough it caught British Airport Authority's attention.

Well, you might say we all deserve it - But trust me most of us were forced to purchase Bellview's air ticket out of time management constraints/last minute resorts and were  mis-informed about the level of decadence at the airline company. What touched me most was a lady whose wedding is slated for saturday weeping profusely for her refund( or alternative arrangement).

I can see how fast and effective the Nigeria Rebranding project is working.Whew !

(Apologies for the incoherent write-up,so tired but just had to come up with this,so people wouldn't fall for ' Bellview's Madoff ' scheme)
BusinessRe: Is Forex Trading Real? by Beextra(m): 12:50am On Aug 31, 2009
Fx is like every normal business, you need to learn its basics before going into it .If you take it as a gamble, ofcourse you then have the odds stashed against you.Its more of an art ,and only long overtime practice can make you successful at it,its not a Get-rich-quick-scheme.Remember,' you can't rush perfection '.And to answer your question - Forex is real and quite profitable for ' professional traders '

BusinessRe: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by Beextra(m): 10:06pm On Aug 04, 2009
@ Mr. Bac - While i hate to agree with you as regards the fast declining rate of oil production in Nigeria, which is Nigeria's main economic driver for foreign Reserve.I did also advice you to note that the Government is working aggressively to address the low production level,( Note: not because of Govt's interest in the nation's economic stability but because of ' their personal selfish interests' which is tied to the oil industry).

Also judging from recent economic reports ,(whilst U.S is one of Nigeria's oil largest consumer ) U.S and many industralized countries are gradually easing out of recession .This translates to increase in risk appetite, more consumer spending, increase in manufacturer's production etc and all these points to more demand for Oil.So what do we have staring at us in the near term : Increased oil demand + Increased Oil production = More significant increase of $ in our reserves.THis would further enable the naira to appreciate against the dollars.

But hey,  if the south-south restiveness continues aggressively, then the Naira is doomed !!! God forbid tho'  smiley.Cheers.

dinggle:
If you think dollar is gonna drop think again, the price is already going up at the dutch auction system, the only reason it has not reflected in the black market is (a) the already high margin level (b) the mallams/alhajis are trying hard not to make it look as if their own (lamido) is weak when it comes to forex. When the bubble becomes to heavy it will burst then we all will confess. The current price at the black market is artificial, i say hold on to your dollars if you have any, and if you need to buy, buy now.
I think its more of the oil price stabilising above the $50 mark, thats the only bubble that can burst the present rate of exchange.Panic buying shouldnt be encouraged.

The video is of topnotch Quality ,except for some few hitches - which can still be ignored in my own opinion. The striking difference with this video is its drift from the Peter's et al standard and that obviously is going to set new standards for the industry.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Launches 24-hr Surveillance Camera Operation by Beextra(m): 6:34am On Jan 15, 2009
skylooh:
A bold step in the right direction, will definitly provide an atmosphere of security and an atmosphere of security will bring about investor confidence, and what does that mean ? More investment by multinational firms in lagos and that means more jobs for area boys and jobless grauduates and less crime and armed robbery cases as those jobless will be gainfull employed and that means food on the table for the family.
so did i hear someone say na cctv we go chop? Its a win win situation, so ladies and gentle men lets give it up to this young gov fashola while his fellow govenors are busy lootin their state treasury empty fashola is aggresively fighting to building lagos to a world class city.
You nailed it mate ! Funny thing is most peeps wouldnt see it from that perspective ,until the fruits starts emerging. Security is a paramount factor a potential investor considers.Yes,cctv is not going to arrest anybody, but then information dissemination is very important to security. The police force is short of manpower especiallyy in lagos and that is a federal issue,The lagos state Govt. has little to do in this regard - hence its incentives to support policing in the state.

The present efforts of the lagos state govt should be applauded atleast for taking steps in the right direction ( eye & pocket servicing nothwithstanding) ,i was impressed with the state of development in lagos during my last visit, considering the poor support from the federal Govt. to its states. We all should be advocating how best to use these cctv to avoid crimes or better still survey crime activities in the metropolis in a view of avoiding future occurences.

Yes,fashola cant put food on the table of lagosians but he can help create a setting that will make it easier for lagosians to fend for themselves.

Yes,fashola cant achieve generating the required megawatts to enable constant power supply, but he can help attract/woo investors who will assist in independent power projects.

Truth be told,it is only natural for us to criticise - but then a person who only sees problems but no solutions : is the true definition of the word problem itself. The good thing is the present administration in Lagos listens, you did be suprised how far your advocacy can go.
