Pls, my ogas, what tweak can I do to this my 4g smart box, highest speed I've been getting for close to 3yrs now is 5mbps and it get worst I the afternoon to midnight. Nothing is wrong with your present tensioner/adjuster if it's "that rattle noise".
Your current belt is stretched out.
You'll need a 2160 or 2165 belt.

I'm in Lagos, and I repeat there's no OEM 7pk 2170 belt. Even tokunbo is scarce.


I'm assuming you haven't distorted your belt/pulley arrangement.

You're correct about the adjuster, I recently changed mine to as advised by mech due to the noise but sadly it remain same until another mechanic told me the belt is big and he changed it to a smaller size and the nosie went away, though recent the noise returned but very little compare to when before. Pls I also need the compressor and will be glad if you can share contact of your reliable source.

How much is front Honda civic 06 bumper and head head lights

My Honda civic 06 has been making this annoying sound coming from the belt adjuster my mech advised that I change the adjuster which I have done and thereafter the noise/sound went off but after some time it's back and getting worse. Pls what do I need to do, has anyone experience such before as I learnt it's common with this model

Check if the correct belt size was used. I suffered this thing last two weeks on mymy car. My mechanic fixed a wrong belt size and I didn't know. My bearings started making embarrassing noises. It became so noisy shame dey catch me tonput on the car at home. I bought 2 more belts of same size and the noise won't go away. He said it was the rollers. I told my colleagues and they said na wrong belt size. I went to my former mechanic and he got my main belt and the noise stopped. My car uses 6pk1753 belt size and the former mechanic was putting 6pk1791. Until I got the right belt size, that's when the noise stopped.

Exactly, the noise is sometimes embarrassing and just like you said I guess it maybe the belt isn't the correct size, pls how do I know the correct size or number for civic 06

Yes, in fact it was fixed wrongly(too tight) so it cut and since then the noise has increased after fixing again

There is this sound coming from my car civic 06 at time it becomes very loud and sometimes not much but it happens mainly when I am not speeding my mechanic said it's the roller and I should continue with it for the time being then change it later, the sound it very annoying. Pls any idea of the cost of roller,(timing belt tensioner )will it not cause more damage if I continue to leave has he advice? Pls help
