the Eck man. glad you graced our thread. Did you read loj's opinion about Eckankar? I specifically brought it up to know what he would say. Kindly share your thoughts and set the record straight on this thread, if you feel you need to

there is really no need to. that was his opinion and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. No hard feelings and no ox has been gored.
i am a very practical person and so far as i am concerned all the religious semantics, logic, practices etc does not make sense if it doesn't make you a better person who gives love to his neighbor without any discrimination. that to me is what matters. and moreover i respect people's space and this thread is not about my path.

just want to encourage you with what you are doing here. for me, i have simply stopped bothering and what is happening in your thread shows exactly why i stopped bothering. those who will know will know and those who will not know will not know and even though they have eyes they will not be able to see and even though they have ears they will not be able to hear.
to reach spiritual maturity as soul to be able to understand esoteric truths is not an easy task. it takes lifetimes upon lifetimes. experiences upon experiences.

Singing the HU sounds and feels the same way as chanting the OHM. Am assuming they are not far off each other

The HU is the universal sound from which all other sounds take origin depending on the plane or level of heaven.
The HU sounds issues forth from the beyond the tenth plane, the ocean of love and mercy giving rise to all other sounds as it flows down to the physical universe.
The OHM is the spiritual sound that corresponds to the mental plane or 3rd heaven and can be used to access that plane. With HU you can access all the planes and straight to the heart of God.

Most of our problems are self-made. When things go wrong, if we take responsibility and do something that gives us greater understanding, life becomes easier.

This is how it should be, rather than having someone always giving us spiritual, emotional, or physical healings.

The idea is not to hide from life: It is to live life, but without making the same mistakes we did before.

@benodic I recently started attending ECK Light and Sound services and I must say I've been opened to a new light. My question is, asides singing the HU, are there other spiritual exercises we can also do?

There are hundreds of spiritual exercises you can also do. Many of them can be found in different ECK books. The book, The spiritual exercises of ECK contains more than a hundred spiritual exercises. As you start realizing yourself as Soul you discover that there are no limitations for Soul.
