We serve God and life out of gratitude. Why? For the blessings we have received.

What is the greatest blessing? The gift of life itself. It’s living. It’s getting more experience in life, learning more about who and what you are.

The more you learn about yourself, the more you have to give back to life. It’s natural. You have to. Your heart opens, you have greater capacity for love. To get more love, you have to give more love.

As you give more, you get more.

You make a conscious effort to align yourself or put yourself in tune with Divine Spirit. And you do that by chanting a spiritual word, such as HU (pronounced like the word hue). HU is an ancient name for God. It is also a love song to God. You sing it silently or aloud, with love in your heart.

All that a true spiritual teaching can give you is assurance of the eternal nature of Soul: that you live beyond the death of the physical body; that you are Soul, and you live forever. A sword can pierce the body but never Soul.

And if you know what you’re doing, when you leave this body it’s not much of a change.
