HealthWoman With 2 Vaginas, 2 Wombs Opens Up On Condition by Bensmart04(op): 11:23am On Apr 14, 2019
A woman who has more than one vagina and one womb may sound like a fairy tale to hear, however, Elizabeth Amoah has been living with this condition for quite some time and has now decided to let the world know about it.

According to Ghanaweb, Elizabeth, also known as’ Special Lady,’ revealed that after being diagnosed with sexual complications she had to undergo seven medical surgeries.

“I found out that in 2015, after an MRI scan, I had a double womb and a double vagina canal, so I had to undergo about seven surgeries,” she said.

According to her, the scan also found that she had Endometriosis: a sexual disorder in which uterine tissue linings grow outside the uterus. She explained that having a double vagina means having one outside vagina and the other inside.

He added that the double womb usually has no symptoms but exposes one to health challenges such as irregular periods, fibroids, irregular fainting and, in some cases, infertility.

“After four years of not conceiving, I had a premature baby and it wasn’t easy to go through such health situations,” she said.

Having gone through the ordeal, Elizabeth is now back into her home town to kick-start a campaign called “The Unspoken Topics,” a project she plans to use as a tool with her Special Lady Foundation to educate women, especially young women, about the challenges of reproductive health.

The Silicon Valley-Nigeria Economic Development (SV-NED) says that the five Nigerian girls from Regina Pacies Secondary School, Onitsha, and the four boys from St. John Science and Technical College, Alor, both in Anambra, are worth a couple of billions.

After Jumia listed on the New York Stock Exchange, SV-NED Chief Temitope Ajayi said the Anambra girls and boys were littered all over Nigeria, adding the opportunity they need.

NAN reports that Nigeria and Africa were represented by the five girls at the Silicon Valley World Tech Challenge in San Francisco, where they won the Gold Medal in the competition.

The girls— including Promise Nnalue, Jessica Osita, Nwabuaku Ossai, Adaeze Onuigbo, and Vivian Okoye — defeated other technology giants including the U.S., Spain, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and China to win the gold medal.

With a mobile application called the FD-Detector, they won the Challenge, which they developed to help address the challenge of fake Pharmaceutical products in Nigeria.

Likewise, the boys–Meshac Ugwuisi, Anthony Chika-Umeora, Daniel Nwachukwu and Dominic Machi–clinched the bronze medal at a recent Tunisian International Engineering, Science and Technology Festival (IFEST).

PoliticsObama Shares Throwback Photo, Visit To Moneygall by Bensmart04(op): 4:34pm On Mar 17, 2019
The former president of America, Barack Obama took it to his instagram account to share memories of his visit to Moneygall

He wrote on his account

“This was back in 2011, when I was visiting the tiny town of Moneygall, the place where my great-great-great grandfather, a shoemaker named Falmouth Kearney, lived his early life. I marveled as I walked around on the same old floorboards that he did, then I had the privilege to address the people of Ireland on College Green. For me, this photo pretty much sums up their joyful spirit; a warmth and generosity that stay with me to this day. Happy St. Patrick’s Day—on this day, it’ll always be O’Bama.”

BusinessStop Acting Like Vultures, ASUU Tells Vice Chancellors, Others by Bensmart04(op): 8:41am On Jan 28, 2019
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has told vice chancellors and council chairmen of universities to stop "acting like vultures who roam the sky in search of carcasses to feast on".

Ade Adejumo who made this statement, called on top university officials to join the union in its struggle for improved tertiary education.

The union however, also denied reports that it had received the sum of N163billion from the government for the three-month-old strike to be called off.

Stop Acting Like Vultures, ASUU Tells Vice Chancellors, Others

Mr. Biodun Ogunyemi, on Saturday told newsmen that the reports that it received such amount of money was false.

he statement read: “Once again, the attention of our union has been drawn to another piece of misinformation which gives the impression that ASUU collects money from the government.

“For the umpteenth time, let it be known that our union is a patriotic organisation whose activities are driven by the principled conviction that the resources of the country can better be managed for the ultimate benefit of the Nigerian society, especially the education sector which is our immediate constituency.

“It is in the context of the above that our union calls on the vice-chancellors and council chairmen to stop behaving like vultures that wait silently by the sidelines, waiting for the game to fall only to descend on the carcass.

“They should join forces with ASUU in its struggles to attract requisite funding into our public universities, rather than working at cross purposes with us. Part of the least expected from them is to come out openly to put the record straight each time the government comes out with the deliberate falsehood that money has been released to ASUU.”

CelebritiesYoutube Takes Down Tiwa Savage’s Video After Danny Young’s Copyright Claim by Bensmart04(op): 8:31am On Jan 24, 2019
YouTube has taken down the official music video of Tiwa Savage titled ‘One’ following a copyright claim by Danny Young.

YouTube takes down Tiwa Savage’s video after Danny Young’s copyright claim

Conversation over whether or not Danny Young had a case began late last year after the singer accused Tiwa Savage of using contents of his 2009 song, ‘Oju Tiwon’ in her ‘One’ song without his consent.

Danny Young claimed a line in his song, ‘O d’odun lan ri orogbo, o do’dun lan ri ahusa, o d’dodun lan ri omo obi lori igba’ – which when translated means ‘cash crops such as kola and walnuts are valuable every year’, was used by Tiwa Savage and since she did not bother to seek permission, it was a case of intellectual theft.

Barely months after the accusation, Tiwa Savage’s video, is unavailable on YouTube.

“This is not a social media battle, it is just about doing the right thing,” Danny Young told NET while confirming he made the claim.

“When I heard her song last year, my lawyers reached out to her lawyers but they ignored us. They thought it was just one small boy talking. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Tiwa Savage and I respect her craft as well, but you see, two brothers can have a case in court and still have a good relationship with each other.”

EducationFG Slashes JAMB, NECO, Basic Education Exams’ Fees by Bensmart04(op): 11:54pm On Nov 28, 2018
The federal government of Nigeria has on Wednesday reduce JAMB, NECO and Basic education fee. This development has been approved by the the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

According to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who disclosed this at the end of the Council’s meeting which was presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

NAN told newsmen that, the JAMB fee 2019 for the UTME has been reduced from N5,000 to N3,500, the Senior Secondary School fee charge by NECO is now N9,850 as against N11,350 while the Basic Education certificate by NECO is reduced from N5,500 to N4,000.

Today the Council approved a reduction of fees paid for JAMB, Senior Secondary and Basic Certificate Examinations.

“This has been long awaited since the current administration came into office and then (effected) a change in JAMB Management (to one) with prudence.

“We were able to see that what is being charged as fees for JAMB examination shouldn’t be because a lot of it was siphoned in the past by corrupt officials

“So, in answer to the yearnings by parents, the President directed that we should look into ways of reducing the charges.

“So accordingly, with effect from January 2019, JAMB fees for tertiary examinations will be reduced from N5,000 to N3,500; for the SSCE fees charged by National Examinations Council NECO will be reduced from N11,350 to N9,850 and for the BSCE by NECO, it will reduce from N5,500 to N4,000.”
