Upper Sokponba in Benin city Edo state is known not only for its huge population, i mean, the population of residents in upper Sokponba area is second to none in whole of Edo state...just like every other areas in Nigeria were you get to see the good, bad nd ugly to a large extent upper Sokponba is filled mostly with the ugly ones( not facial looks tho)..

let me not bore you with ugly tales emanating from upper Sokponba but do you know that the violent protest that erupted benin city yesterday was orchestrated by the upper boys? several areas like ugbowo, kings square, aduwawa have been protesting peacefully in the past week and there was no incidence or report of violence nd attacks. not until it was time for upper and st savior to commence theirs yesterday and we all saw the result...im an upper boy and i know what im telling you...upper boys matched all the way from upper Sokponba to benin prison and we saw the outcome, you needed to see the population yesterday my people that soldiers wouldnt even dare come out to stop them..these guys were unstoppable.they didnt end their they went straight to all the police stations in upper and gutted them all with fire...i felt really really bad..now without police stations the crime rate is definitely going to increase and we are going to suffer the consequences of our actions.

upper Sokponba is an area you get to see teenagers of 15yrs wielding different weapons and you dare not question them or show superiority over them if not "you go too collect", yes it is that bad...they didnt stop there they went straight to welfare, a facility built solely to cater for the less privilege, carted away sewing machines, stabilizers, electronics, laptop and even went as far as killing and taking awaythe Turkeys being reared in the facility..ohhh upper Sokponba why?

upper Sokponba why? you needed to see the way police officers and DPO ran for their lives the moment they heard upper boys are coming..you needed to see teenagers going home wit dpo appliances, gas cooker and some of them even wore DPO uniform..

we really dont know how the government is going to tackle this menace from upper Sokponba because of a truth the police alone cannot handle and maintain law and order in upper Sokponba area.

Even cultists from other locations tremble at the mention of you saying "i be upper boy o" when they try to oppress you. That is to tell you how notorious the place upper Sokponba is.

how are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of the paramilitary pensioners have been taken away by the dictatorship of the federal government,by seizing our gratuity in paying our monthly pension...what an error

question (1) is it our gratuity that contributory pension scheme is supposed to manage?
question (2) since most of what we contributed is not even up to N500,000 or better still not up to a million naira, will that warrant the seizure of our gratuity?
question (3)if the contributory pension scheme is good enough, why did the then head of state Gen.Olusegun Obasanjo not put his own into contributory pension scheme?

This is one insensitivity on the part of the federal government to the paramilitary pensioners, who fought to make sure the nation is safe guarded from disintegration. series of letters of appeal have been sent to the NASS and Head of State. these letters have even scaled through the second reading in the house of representative and a public hearing on the matter on the 28th of August 2018, but because we do not have the money to lobby the members of the house no action was taken up till now.

This is man's inhumanity to man, what an irony of fate. rather they are swelling up their pockets, changing their vehicles to the detriment of the paramilitary pensioners who gave their all to safe guard lives and properties.

what we are asking for which is our prayer is give us our gratuity which is our entitlement and our pension arrears. it may shock you to note that Chile where Obasanjo copied the scheme from have been in protest for the past one year now, no rest for the government.

please hear our prayers and make things right as this will also enable those in service now to give their best.

Please your advise and solutions will be greatly needed...... A friend of mine complained to me that she plugged her phone to a stabilizer due to the low voltage at the time to charge her phone... And when she got to her place of work the next day she decided to charge the phone the normal way. It did charge but wen it got to 94% it didnt go further than that.it remained at 94%.

Please my fellow nairalanders, i know some of you might have experienced this or have experience in handling such issues..what could be wrong with the phone? I tried consulting google but no satisfactory answer.

Good day nairalanders, here some of the road projects executed/currently in construction by the Godwin Obaseki led administration.

Please note, these are not all the roads constructed..i had to bring these ones up because these were the ones i could lay my hands on them. Not even the major road that leads to my house is included in the pics(will do that later)..

This post was necessary to quench the lingering question of "which road/project has obaseki done in three nd half years of his administration"?.. A nairalander last week posted 8 laudable capital projects of Gov Obaseki yet some people said just 8 projects for 3 nd half years? We Edolites are the ones on ground here, we know what we are seeing and we can never be fooled again.

The ousted national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday encountered seeming disgrace in Esan Land, Edo State, during the governorship election campaign for the APC candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu in Uromi. The embattled former Governor of Edo State, perhaps, being conscious of the public opprobrium awaiting him in the state because of his legacy, changed his campaign strategy from dancing at campaign venues to kneeling to beg for forgiveness. Oshiomhole within his reasoning imposed the burden of sin upon himself for which he has continually been kneeling and begging for forgiveness, most times attempting to beguile Edo leaders and stakeholder into believing that incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki is the problem of the state.

Meanwhile, Oshiomhole appeared to have led the APC candidate, Ize-Iyamu, into a hypothetical electioneering misfortune at the palace of the Enogie of Igueben on Monday. National Daily learnt that other traditional rulers were invited by the Enogie of Igueben where the APC leaders coordinating Ize-Iyamu’s governorship campaign were hosted.

A PDP stakeholder in Edo State, Andrew Emwata, on AIT morning programme on Tuesday monitored by National Daily from Lagos, said that most traditional rulers did not receive Oshiomhole with open hands. He said that at the opening session of the meeting with traditional rulers, journalists who accompanied the APC campaign team were ordered to go out. According to Emwata, it was at the time that journalists were sent out that Oshiomhole knelt before the traditional rulers begging for forgiveness. Unfortunately, that section of the meeting was recorded by a participant at the meeting, and the video later leaked where Oshiomhole knelt before the traditional rulers.

Emwata recalled that Oshiomhole dethroned the Enogie of Uromi when he was Governor of Edo State. He added that the former Edo governor transferred his aggression of having political dispute with Chief Tony Anenih to dethrone the Enogie of Uromi, noting that he has at last come back to the royal father on his knees. Barrister Emwata said that Governor Obaseki of Edo State later intervened and reinstated the Enogie of Uromi. Emwata alleged that Oshiomhole was later walked out of the meeting with the traditional rulers.

Paramilitary pensioners pulling out of PENCOMM is non-negotiable. And we thought Mr president is out to ammend or correct the wrong done to this great country by the former head of state, General Olusegun Obasanjo. He tried by rectifying that of late Abiola and many others but leaving out the paramilitary pensioners in pencomm inspite of series of letters to the head of state and members of the Nass by the prisons branch Benin of the paramilitary pensioner where i belong.yet we are expecting the present corp of officers in the paramilitary to give their best, when those before them are treated like scape goat or better still like broom which is being used to sweep the house and dumped behind the door.

The time to do the needful is now except they want us to start dieing like chickens because there is no sympathy in them.

The Nass members felt unconcerned because it does not affect them rather they are fighting for their own luxury. This is hurting us old pensioners alot. But one thing is clear, if we continue to die as a result of hunger and poor treatment to our health, our blood will be required from their hands by God Almighty.

Alternatively, those that have served above 20years before 2004 be pulled out of Pencomm.

It's a British/American movie with lots of actions, and sex scenes. For an adult, the 'movie' is ok, but do not allow your kid stay with you while watching it. The television series is based on a novel sharing the same name and written by Chris Ryan, a former Special Air Service soldier.

3. Spartacus



We all know this movie, infact the sex scenes was one of the idea used in selling the 'movie'. It's an American television series produced in New Zealand and premiered on Starz on January 22, 2010, hit the last season on the 12th of April, 2013. It's not good for kids as there are many blood/sex scenes.

4. Survival island



Was released in 2005, and it's an erotic thriller film which was written and directed by award winning Stewart Raffill and featured Juan Pablo Di Pace, Billy Zane and Kelly Brook. This three survivors had alot of sex in the movie which is totally not good for a child to see.

It needs no introduction as it's a popular movie which have succeeded in corrupting alot of children, but for the kids who haven't watched it, please keep them far away from this movie as there're alot of sex displays starting from the first season.

A statement credited to the Mexican police authority stated that the six bodies including that of a teenage boy 16yrs old juanito pistola who belonged to a drug cartel ambushed the Mexican police. All six of them were killed in the shootout.
