Moral lessons I learnt after being sacked, ridiculed by friends, nairalanders n family members n now this achievement n more to come ... Don't sell your birthright(bright future) for a piece of cake(salary.. No matter how big it is, you can make more than that... Mine was 70k...even when I was sacked I knew my prospect is far bigger than that)...the cake presented to me was for me to go against my spiritual principle... Yours can be for your body, integrity or your faith etc..please don't compromise for anything ... Stand for something so that you won't fall for everything... ... You are working for someone doesn't make you a slave When you stand for God's Kingdom, you will be persecuted but you will be vindicated n rewarded ... You know my story... Was employed in a big private school to work as a maths/Physics/further maths teacher after a successful interview... 70k salary... Was sacked after 3days for refusing to dance to a secular song... Glory be to God... My story has changed... I now own by an adult school...will be paying my teachers 50k/month...all glory to God...You can apply if you stay around waterlines, Portharcourt... But you must be a born again/a qualified English teacher with a great passion for teaching Be inspired..an employee/job seeker can be a company/business owner... Believe in God... Have faith...work in line with your faith... In Jesus Name you will succeed..stop looking for jobs... Create one...change the way you think... If you are not born to teach, even though you're a trained teacher, trust me, teaching will worn you out... But if you have the passion, teaching is fun... I have a degree in Gas Engineering... I don't have a formal training when it comes to teaching but I won the best teacher award in my school... I am Berepiki Boma Otonye, physics and maths teacher in new covenant secondary school at dline pH... I started teaching mathematics when I was in primary 5(20yrs ago)... Funny enough am just 29 I have the passion n calling to teach...but I am not a trained teacher... I give God the glory for using me to invest in lives I don't just teach academics, I teach good morals to... My classes are both physical n spiritual... I teach mathematical principles... I also preach biblical principles... Sometimes, I correlate the both... 90% of my students like me... The remaining few hate me because they lack understanding buh later they will appreciate me if only they will understand that the most effective pills are usually bitter... I love my students... I punish them when they go wrong... I commend them when they do well... I'v made some mistakes buh I'v learnt from them...my advice to teachers based on my experience are: 5LAWS 1. Never allow a student to go beyond the teacher - student boundary if not the student will start disrespecting you... 2. Don't engage a student in a discussion when u are disciplining him or her...break this law n suffer for it 3. DON'T express hatred when correcting a student... If u do, you will be hated for life 4. DON'T fall in love with a student... U will regret it 5. DON'T SMILE ALWAYS... if u break this law, you'll be taken for granted 2 Likes |

'Don't do anything until you know WHY you should do it...when you know the ' WHY ', you will do it with ALL your heart, body n soul' ...Bob's hypothesis I came up with this after I started loving prayer just because I was taught why I should pray... Before when I dint know why, I was joining others to pray buh I never enjoyed it n it was boring n tiring... And those days, I skipped prayers n whenever I couldn't skip it, I did it ceremoniously without a heart connection... Also I never liked fasting until I was told why I should fast Maybe there are some cases this hypothesis might not be applicable... But I strongly believe that you can't get the best of anything until you believe in it through knowledge (knowing WHY) But this hypothesis can be modified if I can get a strong contradictory fact |
