Truth be told, PDP is far more better organized than APC

During PDP’s era, things were moving fine as a result of the sound Economic policies being put in place... Yes there was corruption, but tell me, which government in the world is corrupt free?

Since APC took over it has been from one excuse to another, from one lie to another, from one propaganda to another... No concrete plan on ground!
Only God will know the level of corruption and mismanagement going on currently
You are wise!

Lalasticlala pls let's celebrate the PDP!

PoliticsOver 3,000 Delegates Gather For PDP’s Unity Meeting Ahead Of Convention by Beress(op): 6:38pm On Aug 11, 2017
Over 3000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party are expected to be in attendance at its unity convention in Abuja this Friday at 6pm.

The meeting which holds at the party’s national secretariat Abuja is to prepare the party for its non-elective convention selected for Saturday, August 12, at Eagles Square Abuja.

The Friday’s convention is also meant to afford the delegates an opportunity to celebrate the Supreme Court’s victory.

Earlier on Wednesday the party had held a committee meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, where the Convention Committee chairman, Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and his subcommittee chairmen, deliberated on matters concerning the successful conduct of the convention, where principal officers of the party will be chosen.

Also, addressing a world press conference on the convention, national publicity secretary of PDP, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, had said that delegates from the six geo-political zones are already in town for the big event.
According to Adeyeye, the convention is a unity gathering of the PDP family which the international community will monitor.

He said, “It will be a carnival-like convention, the like of which we have never seen before. We have delegates from the Africa Union, the United Nations and the rest of the international community.

“This unity convention is going to be a celebration for the PDP. I can tell you that if the decision of the Supreme Court had gone the other way, there would have been no PDP today.”

He also called on Nigerians to be wise so as not to fall victims of the All Progressives Congress propaganda.
“Nigerians remember with nostalgia life under the PDP and they are yearning for it to come back. I challenge anybody to deny that the achievements of this great party are comparable to any other in Nigeria.

“We bequeathed the largest economy in Africa to the APC but they squandered it within six months to one year,” Adeyeye adding that the two years administration of President Muhammadu Buhari remains “the worst era in the history of Nigeria.”

Dubbing APC’s fight against corruption as “a witch-hunting of the opposition,” he said, “The only thing you need to do today is to cross over to the APC and all your sins would be forgiven. All APC members are saints and others are sinners.”

The party’s non elective convention is coming on the heels of the recent Supreme Court judgment which settled the long drawn conflict in the party which had almost threatened to tear it apart.

PoliticsStrong Buhari Supporter Defects To PDP In Kano, Says APC Has Failed Nigerians by Beress(op): 2:59pm On Aug 10, 2017
An active supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari in Kano, Ibrahim Al Amin has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Al Amin, who said he decided to dump the APC over its inability to redeem all its campaign promises, added that he said he could not remain in a party that is doing what it accused other parties of.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Al Amin said, “Although I do not regret supporting and voting for Buhari, I cannot remain in the party because it is not running the country properly. I hold Buhari in high esteem but he is not in control of the present government.

“President Buhari has lost control of his government since he fell sick. Some people took advantage of that and are now controlling the government.

“I am highly disappointed in the APC because it has reneged on the promises it made to Nigerians. What we have been accusing other political parties of doing, the APC is now doing them. There is poverty everywhere and the APC is not doing anything to bail-out the masses.

“I am in politics to serve my people directly or indirectly and I am not comfortable with the way the ruling party is handling the affairs of Nigerians.

“Our major problem is that our political parties are not based on ideologies.

“I am disappointed with the administration after all the votes provide to Buhari by north-west but the region shortchanged in term of execution of developmental projects,” he said.

“My expectation is government will reciprocate the region with laudable project but unfortunately the government is being under control of some southerners.

“I have no regret of campaigning for Buhari in 2015 because I respect him so much but the party disappointed people that voted it into power.

“All my cross carpeting has been from the ruling parties to oppositions and on three occasions I held a party to win election. I am not in politics to use political office to make financial gains but I am in politics to have the opportunity to serve the people.

“I have no reason to remain in the party that disappointed Nigerians and the party failed to improve the economic development of the people of the country rather contributed to serious hardship among the populace.”

PoliticsOyegun Was A Failure As Governor Of Edo State - Obiano Blasts APC Chairman by Beress(op): 9:45pm On Aug 09, 2017
– Willie Obiano blamed John Odigie-Oyegun for a long list of failures which were recorded in Edo state during his term as governor

– Obiano stated that under Oyegun’s leadership, the APC is seriously bleeding, suffering from constant defections, calamitous directionless, and crass incompetence

– According to the governor, Oyegun’scomments show that the ruling party is bent on forcefully overturning the will of the people, who are the true custodians of democracy

Willie Obiano, the governor of Anambra state, has taken a swipe at John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over comments made by the latter concerning the upcoming elections in the state.

According to reports, Obiano was reacting to a comment attributed to Oyegun, that the governor should “write his handing over notes and start preparing to vacate office.”

The governor made his comments through his senior special assistant on media and strategic communications, Oliver Okpala.

NAIJ.com gathers that the governor stated that the APC chairman does not have any moral authority to speak on good governance in the country.

He stated: “This is a former governor who has no traceable achievement to his name as far as his tenure in Edo state is concerned.

“Apart from high level of thuggery, brigandage and insecurity, no one can recall any meaningful development recorded during Oyegun’s government in Edo state.

“It was also during his era that a very low level of governance was introduced to that state, a clear departure from the pragmatic and result-oriented leadership style of the likes of Professor Ambrose Ali and Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, both of blessed memory.

“It was during Oyegun’s tenure that the song of ‘no money’ for projects became the regular cry in governance circle in Edo state. He could not think outside the box.

“Many Nigerians still remember that Oyegun also won the unenviable record of the governor during whose tenure Edo state recorded the lowest score in WAEC.

“The records are there for all to see! So, what is a failed governor talking about when it comes to good governance?

“Indeed Oyegun has no moral right to speak on issue of good governance in Anambra state or any part of the country.

“If what we practice is a democracy then the will and wish of the people should be respected.

‘’Many Nigerians also know how he emerged as national chairman of the APC.

“It was a clear case of political imposition which has left the party prostrate till date. As we speak, the APC under his watch cannot hold meetings of its crucial organs. No wonder its house is in disarray.

“What this clearly shows is that Oyegun is a virus in APC, as he has foisted his regime of lack of internal democracy in the party.

“No wonder the party is seriously bleedingtoday, suffering from constant defections, calamitous directionless, and crass incompetence.

“The implication is that the party is heading for doom if Oyegun is not quickly removed.

“No wonder a prime founder and leader of APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his followers have since called for his removal.

“Is it this weak leadership style that he wants to import into Anambra state? After all what is his business with Anambra when he has not been able to put his own house in order.

“Oyegun’s declaration that his rudderless party would take over Anambra is also an unfortunate exposure of that undemocratic spirit and cancer that has befallen the APC.

“If what we practice is true democracy, where democracy is the government of the people, for the people and by the people, Oyegun could not have made such an unguarded utterance.

“His declaration that ‘APC must take over Anambra’ is a signal that they are bent on forcefully overturning the will of the people who are the true custodians of democracy.

“Granted, as Oyegun said, Anambra is crucial to their plot of making inroads into the south east, but must that be achieved through undemocratic means which often leads to bloodletting and mayhem?”

Chairman of the PDP ‎Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said the party will send a very strong message to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and indeed Nigerians on Saturday.

‎The party non-elective convention, slated for Saturday in Abuja is the first in the series of activities aimed at re-positioning the party in readiness for the 2019 elections.

Addressing members of the committee Wednesday,  at its maiden meeting at the PDP national secretariat, Dr. Okowa said the message would signal the preparedness of the party to reclaim power in the 2019 general elections.

“PDP has come alive and PDP will send a very strong message to Nigerians this Saturday.

“‎All Nigerians will on that day know that truly, the party is ready to take over power in 2019, ” he said.
